Hi all, yeah this is a throwaway account but I really do need to vent to you for a bit. I am at my lowest point, and while I’m usually one to self deprecate, I absolutely don’t deserve this.

So what happened?

After coming to, I kicked her out of my house and gave the ordeal some serious thought. I think we had sex earlier - with my consent given - but it’s hazy. After she pulled this on me I started to get incredibly paranoid for my sexual health and got myself checked in with a GP. I was luckily clean, and I resolved myself to abstain from any sexual contact for a prolonged period of time. I felt better for it for a few months. But that didn’t last, I’m sure we all get horny after a while.
In early March, I started talking to some girl on hinge. She was going on about smoking some bud and watching a movie with me - which, in honesty, sounded pretty fun. I entertained the concept, but didn’t really expect it to go anywhere. Six days ago, she started texting me asking if I was available that evening. I was honest, my friends were out of town and I was, at the time, up for something like that. I wasn’t emphatic about it, but I told her I was around. I don’t exactly have an explicit history with panic attacks, but I know one when I feel it. I started shaking in my bed, shivering til my teeth could be heard. My heart was pounding. She noticed this, and asked if I was okay. I told her I was fine, and that it was just the weed. I knew it wasn’t - I was starting to realise I didn’t want this but it was too late to ask her to leave and walk home.
When she went for a bathroom break, I panic texted my best friend. I told her the situation I was in. She said to me that I should have told her to go.

I’ve never regretted anything as much as this.
I had protection in my drawer - but when I asked her if I’d need it, she told me I wouldn’t - she had the implant. So I just threw caution to the wind and we fucked. I hated every second of it. She smelled rancid and disgusting. We had very little sexual chemistry. I wasn’t attracted to her in the slightest yet I was going through the motions because I’m always shit scared of letting people down - even if they don’t matter to me. That night, I had a life-alteringly vivid dream. It put my whole life in perspective, and in the morning I told her to leave early so I could think over it throughout the day.

Throughout the last two days, it’s been oozing a disgusting discharge. It really fucking hurts and won’t stop. I spent the whole night calling the NHS, and I only just managed to secure an appointment.
This fucking girl invited herself into my house, got me inebriated, forced herself on me, lied to my face about being clean and gave me her fucking disease. I have an appointment scheduled for later today, best case scenario it’s a urinary tract infection, but the signs seem to be pointing towards gonorrhoea. I feel disgusting, I can’t go into uni, I am separating myself from my friends and I am in constant pain. For sure, it’s partly my fault - I took her word blindly and didn’t wear a condom - I let her in - I didn’t listen to my friend. And I know that, from her angle, I never said no and my consent might have been given. But I retract that.
This might be one of the worst things thats ever happened to me. I hope the doctors prescribe me something, because I don’t want to live one more day like this with this constant pain coming from my cock. I’ve got to wait it out for six hours, and that seems like too much.
As for the girl, if she didn’t know she was carrying a disease, then I understand, but I still reserve my right to harbour resentment. I hate that person with all my being.
I don’t think the one night stand lifestyle works for me, anymore.
I don’t want anyone knowing. I refuse to tell my parents. I don’t want them ever knowing I contracted an STI. I don’t want my friends knowing either. I will fucking take this to the grave.
TL;DR: I had sex for the first time in months and contracted an STI.
Please, for the love of god, tell me I’ll be okay.

Improve this question I've got an Android app developed, and I'm at the point of a phone app development where everything seems to be working well and you want to declare victory and ship, but you know there just have to be some memory and resource leaks in there; and there's only 16mb of heap on the Android and its apparently surprisingly easy to leak in an Android app.
I've been looking around and so far have only been able to dig up info on 'hprof' and 'traceview' and neither gets a lot of favorable reviews.
What tools or methods have you come across or developed and care to share maybe in an OS project?

As per the title.
The Rheumatologist that I was under referred me back to my GP following an MRI the other year. In the letter he sent after the scan he opened with a paragraph saying that the results showed signs of Ankylosing spondolitos then at the end of the letter he said that the results didn't.
I'm wanting to get a second opinion and feel like it would be best if I have a copy of the scan images and the radiologist's report in my hand.
I got in touch with my GP surgery and they don't seem to have them, they only have records of the correspondence between all parties.
Would I have to get in touch with the Rheumatology department that I was under?

Hey everyone! I've been playing around with Google Bard, ChatGPT, and Bing, and I thought I'd share my thoughts on how they stack up against each other. So, buckle up for an informal comparison of these AI titans! 😄
Speed: Bard wins, hands down. It's like Usain Bolt against a couple of kids. It gives you 3 results in the time it takes the others to give you 1. There's seriously no contest here.
Code: ChatGPT takes the cake in this round. Bard's got skills, but it needs some nudging. I tried it with Python, MQL, Verilog-A, Verilog, and shell scripting, and it did alright once I gave it multi-line instructions. Bing's not too shabby either, and might even be better than Bard at the moment.
Rap Songs: ChatGPT's got the rhythm, followed by Bing, with Bard stumbling in last. Bard's rhymes are just... off.
Player Comparisons (Cricket): I compared Sachin Tendulkar vs. Rahul Dravid in Test Cricket, and Bing had the most detailed answer, although it goofed on some stats. Bard was more generic, and both played it safe by not picking a clear winner.
Math: All three LLMs are just bad at math, especially JMC word problems. They try but fail every time.
Creative Writing: ChatGPT is the Shakespeare of AI, no doubt. Bard's more robotic, even when I ask for specific author styles, and its plotlines are pretty generic. Bing's a moody writer, sometimes creating stories, sometimes not.
Search Accuracy: None of them are perfect, but I appreciate that Bard at least offers to Google it after giving its answers. ChatGPT has more hallucinations compared to Bard and Bing.
Role Playing: ChatGPT is the undisputed king of role-playing. Bard's not adding much to the conversation, and Bing straight-up refuses to play along.
Overall: ChatGPT is the best AI bot around and only comes second to Bard in terms of speed and hallucinations.
TLDR: Comparing Google Bard, ChatGPT, and Bing, ChatGPT comes out on top overall. Bard is the fastest, ChatGPT is best for code, creative writing, and role-playing, and Bing offers detailed player comparisons. All three struggle with math, and search accuracy varies among them.
