He wore large boots that looked to be much too large and had been commandeered from a man who had long since lost use of them, and his face carried a sort of aversion. The story begins in when I [M23] matched with some cute girl wearing elf ears on bumble [F20]. At the time she seemed fun and different and I actually thought I might like her, which was rare because practically every other girl I’ve matched with I never could see myself with for more than a night if it even got that far. We talked for a little and I felt like we really hit it off. Eventually i got her number / snapchat and we proceeded to talk and try to plan a date. This went on for about month but my crippling anxiety kept getting in the way and I always chickened out because of the fear of being rejected or even worse the fear of falling in love. I knew that i would be moving in the near future and didn’t want to get attached to someone that would be living 300 miles away.
I then moved and went on with my life but still sometimes snap chatted or texted her on occasion. Eventually she started showing more and more interest and over the next 2 months our conversations got longer and more personal. Don’t get me wrong she definitely had some red flags and I knew there was a chance to get hurt in this but holy shit I don’t know if i was just desperate and craved the attention from a woman or what but she made me feel special. Over the next couple of weeks we started playing some video games together and as an avid gamer myself this was literally a great come true. We played Call of duty and Sims together, where we were decorating a house together. Which I honestly didn’t want to do but I wanted to “be” with her so I did, and it then I actually would have a lot of fun. It was so strange because she would show me all this attention and give off all of the signs that she was interested in me, and then go spotty for an evening or a couple days and leave me on delivered. I get it people have real lives and I know women can play games sometimes but i legitimately didn’t know how she felt towards me. It was driving me absolutely crazy and I kind of thought she liked me enough to be like “hey can’t talk tonight” or “I’m busy”. While I was sitting confused on why she was ignoring me thinking I did something wrong. But whatever I continued giving my all and slowly but surely becoming obsessed with this women.
Eventually the time comes and I ask if she wants to do something over the weekend and that I was going to drive the distance to take her out on a date. She agreed and said she’s free on Sunday so I grew some balls and actually committed and drove down that Friday afternoon to hangout with a friend. I asked her if she was busy that night and she responded with no because she was sore from the gym which I thought was a lame excuse and got me overthinking. Saturday comes and she’s not answering at all and I have a mental breakdown and drive home that night. During my drive she answers but I was already halfway and told my friend who’s couch I was sleeping on that I was going home, so I made up an excuse and said there was a family emergency and needed to go home.
The next week was even better we talked more and we played games together almost every night. Some of the nights she would literally fall asleep while we were talking which I thought was cute and definitely a sign she was really into me. So I told her that I coming back so I can finally meet her and take her on a date. i just had to know for sure if the feelings I had toward her were justified and was willing to drive the 300 miles both ways. I asked when she was free and she said Saturday and Sunday so I was like cool I’ll be there, booked a hotel room with some credit card points and on drove down there on that Friday night. Saturday morning rolls around and I’m super nervous, we talk and she asks to postpone the date a couple hours I immediately thought the worst and was already considering going back home.
BUT IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED, we met up at a local mall, talked on a bench for a while, then went and got smoothies, then continued talking in my car for another several hours before she had to go to some previous commitment. She was pretty open about some of her experiences with guys in the past so I really wanted to respect her boundaries and not try anything that would come off as too aggressive or like all I wanted was sex because it wasn’t. Right before she got out of my car she said “can I kiss you” and I literally lunged at her from my seat to hers kissing her multiple times before she left and I stayed in my car smiling for a good 10 minutes thinking well I guess the date went well.
I went back to my hotel room and eventually texted her that I had a great time and I want to see her again tomorrow. she responds with the worst thing imaginable “I’m drunk can’t hangout with you tomorrow.” So there I was I just went from the happiest I’ve been in years to thinking well I blew it and I’m never going to see this girl again in my life. So I did what any desperate man would do and I told her exactly how I felt, saying that she was pretty much my favorite person that I talked to and wanted more than just a friendship and am willing to do this whole long distance thing because she’s worth it to me. and she responded with that’s cute but I like you too, but then said she wanted to see me again, then wouldn’t answer again. This was not very reassuring so I went kind of manic and drove home listening to angry music wishing I was dead. I actually got pulled over and the cop asked if I was ok because I was going 25 over in the pouring rain.
Monday comes and we go back to our normal routine of talking and playing video games together, Tuesday she ignored me for most of the day, and Wednesday back to normal. So on Thursday I told her how I felt again and that if she wants me to continue trying with her she needs to tell me how she feels back so I know if I’m wasting my time and she said I was being insecure. I apologized and was like ok not gonna be so obsessive because it’s not attractive and makes me seems needy. But fuck all I wanted in this world was her and she knew that. All I wanted was her to communicate her feelings and tell me if I was being overbearing. I actually sent her a message on Snapchat pretty much saying that exact thing and she ignored it for 20 hours so I blocked her and am trying to move on.
Based on all that, was I the problem and did I get too attached to someone? Did I overreact to being left on delivered or was she not interested? And most importantly why are women so confusing??

I felt the cold wind slice into my thinning hair as if it were comprised of ethereal razors. I gripped my wounded extremities to the back of a cold metal frame built onto the atv as a ramshackle "oh sh*t handle." In a crude attempt to remain stable on the quaking apparatus as its tires found purchase on the uneven ground, truth be told, I would have wrapped my arms around my liberator for balance, and I am not wholly convinced he would have made sure I had not remained on the chariot for much longer after a move so bold. He remained silent for the entirety of the short trip and seemed to operate the vessel with a decisive focus similar to that of a student who had recently connected with a previously incomprehensible portion of a lesson. The ride concluded moments before nightfall, and what lay before me, illumined by the lights fixed to the front of the vehicle, was a derelict home that seemed out of place within the forrest. as if left there by some incongruous carpenter to be reclaimed again by the earth. Vines had grown up the dwelling in such a way that the strands of plant matter seemed sentient, and they seeped into the cracks and holes that had grown onto the home as scars do on an aging body. The home looked almost as though it was stricken with an unknown infection that only affected inanimate objects. What few windows the shack had were boarded up by scrap plywood, with small dances of flickering light visible through the gaps. A pungent odor leaked from the pores of the cottage, which mixed with the smell of gasoline from a stationary engine placed just to the right of the home's door, creating an olfactory calamity that nearly caused me to wretch immediately after coming into its range. I stared up at the shack in disbelief; this could hardly be called a structure, and judging by the generator placed outside, there was no world in which there was an instrument inside capable of connecting to the internet to send emails back and forth. It didn't take much thought to conclude this was not the Fairhaven Community but instead perhaps an outpost, or, God forbid, this is where I was supposed to stay. Before I opened my mouth to make my grievances known, the man swung his leg over the side of the ATV and motioned me to follow him. "Best we go inside," he muttered, pointing up at the sky. "Ain't the best time to be hangin' round outside." I hopped off to follow and responded, "That's what I keep hearing." I had been warned before of dark forests on other jobs, mostly due to wondering animals or the locals' fear of some long-told story of a cryptid passed down as a warning to children for years. Most of the time I took these warnings with a grain of salt, as they were normally given by any given town's designated drunkard or wise old orator in a typically playful manner during a night of backwoods revelry to welcome me. However, something about the warnings of this forest seemed much more grim and all too real. Perhaps it was my anxious nature, but as the sun fell into the horizon, I began feeling not only uneasy but I had this indescribable feeling of...impending dread, as if the world beneath me was just about to collapse and if I didn't find the warm glow of light before the cosmic radiance of the sun disappeared completely, I wouldn't ever make it to see the next day. In this moment, I would have done anything or gone anywhere to get out of the darkness for a brief moment. I ignored my aforementioned discomfort and followed the man to the door of a home I never would have entered in any other situation. The maker turned and yanked a few times on the cord of the contraption meant to provide power to the home until it let loose a roar that echoed through the valley. It slowed to an idle sputtering, and the home was illumined with an array of eclectic lights securely fixed to surfaces all around the home, wrapping me and my savior in a blanket of light that stood out in the darkening woodland. I could now see the man standing upright in vivid detail. He has a thin frame; however, his arms protruded with bulbus knots that spoke volumes of his physical capabilities. His hairline fell back on his forehead, revealing a deep scar that span its length, and his glasses seemed to not quite fit the way they were supposed to on his withered skull. He wore large boots that looked to be much too large and had been commandeered from a man who had long since lost use of them, and his face carried a sort of aversion. A look that I had come to understand was similar to mine—one that developed from being thrust into a place I had no interest in being. He extended his hand towards me, and I in turn grasped his. His calloused and overworked hands grinded into my blistered hold with an expected grip that could bust open an aluminum can with ease, causing me to wince a little in pain. "Harridson Demp" be muttered upon shaking my hand. "Caleb Hayes," I coughed back through gritted teeth. He pushed at the door, which opened with a droning creak punctuated with a sharp crack when the squeak reached its apex, revealing a dimly lit vestibule that was just big enough for the two of us to fit simultaneously. The walls were decorated with mold and peeled wallpaper, and a slight drip of water could be seen coming from a faucet just an arm's length from the floor. As I stepped inward, I felt my foot sink a little into the decomposing foundation the room was built on, almost as if it were made of half-dry clay. The potent aroma of ammonia formed a poignant wall that sat midway through the room; the air was humid and nearly thick enough to reach out and grasp. I looked over toward the man with an apparently indisputable face of disgust formed by nearly three long decades of comfortable living. "Put your purse down; it's better in here than out there," he said with an offended glance. "Do you live here?" I choked out through my lips, pursing them, preparing to release what little I had eaten in the past 24 hours. He stepped slightly toward the second door placed in the hellish airlock and spoke, "Not just me; family's here too." I was floored at the thought of a family living in the squalor I had seen, not to mention what had yet to be seen. Understand, I've been in plenty of questionable family living situations prior to this poor excuse of a home, and it looked as though it had been not only neglected but purposefully mistreated by anything it had come into contact with. I made contact with the abysmal interior of the dwelling and was instantly greeted by a compact space that acted as a kitchen as well as a living area, with a makeshift cot placed in front of a rusted stove. The walls were covered in off-putting paintings and portraits of varying quality, ranging from childlike to outlandish renditions of common things that covered my skin in goosebumps. Refuse and filth littered the ground in all but a few pathways to a different door. From my count, there were 3 doors in total, two of which were shut, however, and sitting slanted on brittle hinges. The other door on the wall adjacent to myself was opened wide and presented something akin to a bathroom. Inside of the chamber stood a woman dressed in a stained white button-up and a dingy yellow apron who was emaciated in stature with netted locks of auburn hair that fell much too far down her crooked spine. She carried herself with a submissive and reserved posture—not that she was shy or skeptical of me, but as if she were broken and mortified. The woman didn't lift her head as we walked in but simply gave a trembling nod as she rushed to the room on her right and gently tapped at the decaying wood frame of the door. The door flew open, and three children walked out from within it. The oldest of the children looked to be a boy of about 15 draped in a large set of ill-fitting and torn rubber waders with brown hair that sat awkwardly just above his large ears, the middle child was a young girl with hair similar to the woman who welcomed me into the loathsome palace; her face, however, displayed a wide smile of unkempt teeth as she brandished a still-dripping paintbrush, and the youngest of the children was a boy who couldn't have been more than 6 years old; he wore a trucker cap tightly sque Every one of the brood stood like some extraterrestrial being horribly attempting to appear human; their eyes were all tired and filled with thousands of years' worth of experience that I would prefer to distance myself from. The scene before me was disheartening, and it did not help the state of confusion I had been in at every waking moment since I arrived at the gas station. I had thought perhaps that Harrison initially was the father of the family, but the way their looks, their clothes, and their states of being contrasted with his own drove me to think otherwise. Harridson cleared his throat, motioned towards the children who had filed out of the threshold, and announced, "Oldest there is Carl, but we call him Gator on account of his love for animals, middle one is Lucille, she's the artist around here," he said, motioning to the walls before continuing, "and that there are the twins." I gave him a questioning eyebrow that broke him from his rant. "Twins?" I broke the silence. He nodded, saying, "It's like he's got two people living inside of him." not just like mood swings but as two completely separate personalities. "The one you see right now is Dale, and the other is Wiley." I had a thousand queries about the youngest child alone, but opted to keep the majority of them to myself before stammering, "Are..do..how long have you guys lived here?" Lucille perked up and raised her brush to speak, but was immediately intercepted by Harridson. "I'd say about 5 years now?" For five long and assuredly horrid years, the family had stayed in a four-room home that was moments away from falling into the crust of the earth. Was I supposed to inhabit this contaminated vivarium as well? The very notion of remaining here for just a single night showered me with a rain of traumatic feelings. Was this the family I was meant to teach? If so, then why was I not informed or introduced properly, and why was the patriarch of the family so vastly different from the animalistic paupers he claimed as his kin? My vision began to flatten, and my heartbeat picked up to a machine gun pace as the archaic lights illuminating the room started to heat my skin, causing cold beads of sweat to form in my violently shaking hands. My breathing twisted into a brisk and labored wheeze as though I'd run a mile in seconds. My hearing floated in and out as I heard the Gator speak in an overly high-pitched and nasally whine. "You alright, mister?" is the last thing I remember hearing before feeling Harridon's iron grip close around my shoulders, which have started to plummet to the cluttered floor. I was surprised in the moment at how Harridson had yet again come to my aid during a tragic moment, and I couldn't help but feel ashamed. I had been in situations where the families I was teaching were unclean, disorganized, or impoverished, but my current predicament, accompanied by sleepless exhaustion, must have humiliated the man, who was most likely presenting himself in a better light to net a better quality of life. It was sometime between the end stages of my panic attack and the floor that I lost consciousness that night, and if I can be transparent only for a moment compared to now, it was the best night's sleep I would have for a very long time.

Every year more content just gets chopped from the game for ~balance~
And now we get the option to farm for weeks or months to use a system that nexon na seems to think functions the same as the free transfer hammer, but only succeeds are a 3% chance... whats next, is the transfer hammer system going to be removed for server stability. At this point I wouldn't even be surprised if that is the move.

I am dealing with a situation that involves my girlfriend 20(F)and me 21(M) she thinks I’m in the wrong, and need help? We started seriously in November of last year, and this February a guy she had been fucking before me who she texted while we were serious in our relationship she ended up fucking a day after we broke up, and hung with him the previous night before she broke up wit but she says she fuvk fled him the next night; One day after we broke up, n then we got back together a couple days later.
Next is a situation that happened tonight, all I’ve asked is that she not hangout with the past guys she used to have a thing with and fucked. She claims some of them are her real good friends yet I’ve never heard of some of them and she hungout with one guy once and got tacos. Well a dude she had a thing for and previously was fucking came over tonight and she told me after. She had been texting him for two days and said that he was in the area and was never in town, when he works here and lives near her house. She claims that she assumed I’d be okay with it and that she has told me about him, when I have no idea about him or what he even looks like. I’m now upset and she expects me to believe that she knew that there would be no issues and that she had no doubt or question in her mind if she should check with me before or tell me that they were texting recently. She expects me to believe after I’ve told her I don’t want her to see dudes she fucked in the past at 11 at night alone in her room. What do I do? Hi! I am 23, looking to do something with my life. Now for both branches, I am looking to do infantry. For Army, I would want to work my way up to become a Ranger. I heard you can be kicked out if you’re not up in standards.
For Marines, I am looking into Recon. I would like to know in your own opinion, which one would be better? Like does one branch have toxic leadership? I would like to get stationed overseas at some point. Would college better easy to do while in the military? Let me know, thank you!

So the title of my post is not clickbait, I truly do believe that. By broken I do not mean literal game breaking issues such as performance related issues or cheating, etc. What I mean is, every COD game in the past that is regarded as top tier has had a number of broken mechanics. I'm going to compare MW2 to MW2019. Note this is from the perspective of a player who is definitely not a pro or anything but also not a casual, as you can probably tell from my essay lmao.
MW2019
Mw 2019 is regarded by many die hard cod fans, as well as fans of fps in general as one of the best current gen cods, yet it is extremely unbalanced at its core. The movement was completely busted, guns were extremely unbalanced.
Warzone 1
In warzone's peak, Verdansk was very poorly spread out and unbalanced, while the buy stations and economy allowed one to buy an unlimited number of killstreaks, as well as early loadout/perk access. The majority of snipers/marksman rifles were one shot kills and had what felt like instant ADS. The vehicle system was extremely barebones and were very easy to control.
Conclusion on MW2019/WZ1
However, the culmination of all of this was that you ended up in one of the most fun multiplayer (aside from some really awful maps) and battle royale experiences to date. Despite this, players kept pushing to make the game more balanced (as they should) by advocating for changes like removing one shot capabilities for snipers, nerfing certain movement mechanics, adjusting the buy station prices, increasing ttk, nerfing recoil and damage range for certain guns, etc. We got some of that near the end of warzone and saw the game die. We got all of that in warzone 2.
MW2/WZ2
In the sequel to MW2019, we saw IW bring about a plethora of changes that for the most part reflected the wants and needs of the COD playerbase. The game definitely caters more toward controller players now, as they make up the bulk of COD players. TTK particularly for automatic weapons in both Warzone 2 and multiplayer have been reduced, and movement has been reduced to a shell of what 2019's MW had, as the casual playerbase got tired of dealing with KBM sweats bunnyhopping and slide-cancelling constantly. This makes it so that controller players can relax a bit and don't have to learn any movement techs to be successful as aim and tactics are largely what matter now. PC players on the other hand are kind of screwed as playing with a mouse naturally lends to worse shot accuracy, and they can't depend on good movement to counteract aim assist. So now the game has reached a state where you absolutely cannot miss a shot if you want to live, even in warzone, which is very difficult to do on a mouse and keyboard without warming up. BUT, these changes are what the players wanted and definitely balances game mechanics, as movement was definitely busted, and recoil was too easy to control in the past; the game was definitely arcadey.
Now moving on to Warzone 2 specifically, we saw damn near every change that players pushed for implemented. We received a larger, evenly spread and fairly balanced map, definitely more than Verdansk imo. Buy station got heavy nerfs, making things like UAVs extremely rare and expensive, loadouts and perks extremely difficult to attain, and increasing the price of most items in the shop. So now, players actually have to use groundloot and rely on game sense instead of looting for a few minutes, buying a loadout a UAV and rushing every player in the lobby. So these are definitely changes that balance the battle royale experience.
Vehicles received a major overhaul and are now far more complex, making them difficult to drive and kill other players with, as well allowing players to shoot the passengers of vehicles much more easily. Again, further balancing.
Snipers for the most part cannot one shot kill, and damage range for most guns have been reduced significantly. The looting system has also been made more complex, similar to other BR's like apex and PUBG. This is my point.
Summary/Conclusion
All these changes have resulted in the game being more balanced, and trying to be more like other FPS like PUBG, RSS, even Tarkov and Apex, games which are known for not necessarily being perfectly balanced but at least being much more balanced than the average COD game. And I'd honestly be fine if we got a game that was just exactly PUBG or Tarkov but with COD gunplay and movement. However, it is still COD and the core mechanics will never change. These balance changes have created a game that tiptoes the line that divides a standard COD game and other popular, more competitive FPS. What we've ended up with is a game that has received so many changes that balance the game while also having traditional COD mechanics which are naturally broken. A much stronger than average aim assist, easy to control recoil, unlimited and busted class setups, perks, broken spawns, are just some of the main COD mechanics which truly are unique to COD. Trying to balance a game that has so much bullshit, fun bullshit, at its core really only results in what I along with my circle of friends, and seemingly most COD players (proven by record low player retention), a very weird and mediocre COD experience.
What MW2019 did was deliver the most perfectly amplified modern warfare experience. A warzone map with crazy dense hot drops, constant meta shifts, and incredibly fast pace with its core mechanics as well as economy, kill streaks, buy station, perks etc. A multiplayer that was incredibly broken and had some shit maps, but at least classic maps like Rust and shipment, as well as the new map shoothouse were at most times incredibly fun and just peak COD imo. Running around abusing spawns and meta weapons, dodging bullets with crazy movement and quickscoping players with a kar98 was so fking fun yet unbalanced.
Anyways, sorry for the essay, my friends and I were discussing this for a while and I just thought I'd share our conclusion, controversial as it may be, on here. I don't post often so my formatting definitely sucks but if you don't want to read all of it:
TLDR; MW2022 received many positive balancing changes from MW2019, but balance is not what a COD game needs, and that's why many players including myself have grown bored of it so quickly.

His parents once brought him to their friend's house to play with their friend's daughter but nothing clicked. It wasn't like that Roman didn't play with her, it was more like she didn't want to play with him.
He had an aura about him that mystified even his parents. He was quiet and reserved but when it came to the really meaty parts of the thing that interested him, he launched in an insipid display of knowledge and wit. Being not magic didn't ever bog down his interest in magic, much as if he were destined for magic all along. But he wasn't destined, he knew that. There was one time when he tried to turn a frog into a giant by way of ritual. He argued that ritual spells could probably work if he tried it with outer mana. So he went and drew a huge rune to conduct his ritual and eventually ended up with a large crater as the rune exploded. Thankfully he was unharmed. Rituals weren't for runes, he thought.

I (M23) started dating this girl (F22) 3 weeks ago, she lives a bit far from me (roughly 40 minutes by car) so we met for our first date in one of the main cities of my country since we both live near to it.

I brought a 2nd hand Beyerdynamics DT770 yesterday, and now I found that in my left ear there is less sound and way less bass, I tried everything, like checking if there was any thread in drivers etc.
As I have a 2nd hand headphones, how can I repair them in India?
There are no stores near me, I got it parcelled from Mumbai,
What should I do?
Do they even repair without warrant?
if yes, How much will it cost?

I swim, when I can. I'd love to get a bike, I'm near so many trails. I've always enjoyed both of those. Biking to swim class and back home was always fun for me, when I was younger.

(Someone pointed out there are quite a few posts about falling apart, so I wanted to make a post about staying together! )

I’m usually not one to do this but my 2022 June Model Y Performance in multi-coat red paint looks like shit after less than a year.
It’s always garaged, rarely sits outside for longer than a few hours per week, is always washed by a touchless car wash or professional detailers and it still has some horrible markings/stains/scratches near the driver side door handle and I can see a TON of spidering happening as well.
Also I got a pretty nasty rock chip on the hood that made it pretty evident how thin the paint is. It’s all the way down to the metal of the hood.
I’m just curious if anyone else is experiencing this and if we have any recourse or “warranty” for the paint? This seems extreme to me.
