Hello im trying to help my mom with her divorce process but i am afraid of this process negatively effecting her correct income.
Her current income is from the government and any small income from somewhere else can reduce it or even eliminate it. This is bad because its how she pays her rent.
So i was thinking about speaking to attorney this week and expressing this concern. He wanted to go after pension but i am scared it may reduce her current income and stuff.

Hey everyone,
I'm thinking about upgrading my current PC (i7-7700, 16gb ram, NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti 4gb). Not super knowledgeable on this stuff but was looking at the Allied Hive-I Core i5 12400F and was going to upgrade the SSD to 2TB https://www.alliedgamingpc.com.au/allied-hive-i-ready-to-ship-gaming-pc-core-i5-12400F-rtx-3060-8gb/
They have a sale on now so it comes $1998 with the extra storage (down from $2499), i'm wondering if this is good value for money? I know that if i buy the parts and assemble it myself it will likely be cheaper but i'm not really savvy with that stuff and would rather just play it safe and have a prebuilt PC. I also really like the small form factor of this PC without all the RGB lighting (I'm not a big fan of RGB at all) and it seems difficult to find a good build online that is small and doesn't have excessive amounts of RGB lighting on it.
I mostly want to play KSP 1 (and KSP 2 if it ever ends up being good), space engineers, rocket league at high frame rates, a little MS flight sim 2020 (but not overly fussed with maxed out settings for this, just want useable frame rates) and have the ability to play some newer games that come out on decent settings.
They also have the option of upgrading the RAM for additional cost and the CPU to I7 12700F for $249 but I'm not sure thats worth it.
Budget is 1500-2000 if you have any other suggestions.
Montitor is 1440p at 60Hz -75Hz i think
Any suggestions or advice would be amazing and super helpful!

Hi, interesting problem here, I have 2 lodgers in my 4-bed house.
I want to rent my 4th bedroom out on air-bnb as I think I can get a large amount for it due to it being ensuite with its own entrance. This would only work in summer.
I know I can't have that many people in the house paying rent as it would be a hmo. But can I just not charge rent to one of the lodgers whilst I'm renting on air bnb? It's still way more profitable even with losing money from lost rent. (I don't want to kick anyone out)
Is there any other way I can do this without getting a hmo mortgage and license?

Would they use Cantonese for conversation and use traditional chinese for documents ( instead of English or Mandarin with simplified chinese)? I know that western MNCs in HK operate in English, with sometimes using cantonese for casual conversations by locals, so I am quite curious.

A series of poor decisions and now I’ve got £8k in cash, £7k in investments (down about £20k from leveraging into Crytpo but ignorantly hoping this goes back up) and I’m negative 15-20k from the SBF-FTX Fraud.
I also spent a lot of my cash savings on [tbf amazing] holidays with my ex-girlfriend last year.
I’ve got a sweet deal rental wise, paying £770 per month bills included and I take home £4400 net of taxes. I save circa. £1000 per month and contribute £1k into my pension (although contemplating reducing this given I’ll be 103 by the time I’m able to cash this in).
Expenditures amount to circa. (£200 per month, exc. food).
When I had my finances in order - DDs to fidelity, savings bank, holiday spend - I felt great. On top of the world. I can’t help but feel how much I’ve digressed because of the over leverage on crypto and losing a lot of money.
I also feel like I’m losing a societal race.

After he did what he did my already heavy drinking descended into full blown alcoholism which led to a hospitalization for dangerously low electrolytes last year (I quit drinking immediately) and ever since my health has been fucked.
Awful heart rate fluctuating out of control at rest, with walking, and after eating. debilitating Orthostatic hypotension that causes me to nearly faint after walking more than 30 minutes or standing still for 7 minutes. No libido/loss of sex drive, completely unable to get an erection. Constant liver area pain. Things aren’t getting better and despite negative workup so far I am almost certain that it’s cirrhosis.
My life is falling apart, i can’t study or function at med school anymore. I may have to drop out of medical school or at least repeat a year. Last week everything started to overwhelm me and I snapped. I went out to where my brother shot himself and screamed and demanded that he show himself in some voice or apparition and explain what he did. I don’t even believe in ghosts, it was like an out of body experience. My mom eventually found me and went into hysterics with my dad and almost called 911 on me
We could’ve had such a good life together big brother, there’s nobody I enjoyed being around more than you. You were the smartest and most kind-hearted person I knew. We could’ve traveled together, addressed our drinking problems together, been successful together, had families. But look at us now. You’re a pile of ashes and I’m losing my health and my future because I couldn’t stop drinking to stop the nightly obsessive thoughts of you putting the gun to your head. My girlfriend left me. Our parents are going to lose two sons. One to suicide at 34 and one to self-inflicted liver disease. No grandkids to carry on their legacy.
What a perfect ending to this family’s story.

Apologies if my question is too blunt or offensive to anyone, or if this has been addressed here before. I live in America, and as you may know abortion rights here are no longer nationally protected. I personally believe the decision should be left to the individual woman, but I’ve never heard how it affected someone who was almost aborted. I’m sure this isn’t an easy topic, but I am asking in good faith, purely for the sake of having a better understanding of how abortion affects different people. I’m already familiar with how abortion can affect those seeking an abortion, but I believe there is also important information in how it would affect a person to learn they almost were.

2023.04.02 10:55 BigBaeser What should I do? Bought a new Rtx 4090 but received opened graphics card twice.
So I bought a new Rtx 4090 gigabyte gaming OC card from newegg new for 1700 dollars. I made sure to not buy the open box or refurbished but received a clearly opened and used box. The graphics card was missing wraps on the fans and some of the heat sink fins were bent and banged up. I requested a replacement since I wanted the card and was promised a New Sealed box. I went without a graphics card for about a week and today recorded the whole process from door to opening. Same issue, it was missing wraps on the graphics card and some fingerprints and dirt on the backplate plastic. I don’t trust that they can give me a honest replacement thats new since they did it to me twice and I can’t go long without a card for too long since Im in university and use it daily. I didn’t pay so much money that I saved for just to be screwed over by not allowing returns and offering used replacements. I don’t like that parts are missing or opened when I make such a large purchase for a new product. I am no scalper and waited a long time to purchase it at MSRP from newegg like my last gigabyte card. Should I try to negotiate for a refund, or go and hope for another replacement that may be opened? I am seriously considering contesting it with my credit card company since it isn’t fair that I have only the option to request a replacement that even when promised new is also opened and missing parts.
