Will be a long post, and I'm not very good at finding the specific words to convey my emotions, so I hope you can understand.
I'm a 28 year old female. My first boyfriend and I started dating when I was 13 and he was 15, and dated up until he died at age 21, shortly after joining the military. He was my first everything. I know, we were young, but I truly loved him. It was real. I don't know if it would have lasted, but it was real then. Over summers my parents let me straight up live at his house, we never had sex until my 18th birthday, we had so many plans for the future. Because of his specific job, we knew what base he would be moved to and I even had a job lined up there when the time came. He didn't want kids, but did want to adopt. Neither of us really did much, as in we didn't have grand plans to travel the world or have a lavish wedding, we just wanted to be together. We dreamed of being alone, just our family, just being close and at peace.
My husband and I have been together 6 years, we actually celebrated our anniversary recently and the thought did cross my mind that I've now been with him longer than any other man. He's absolutely wonderful. We share 1 child together, but thats not really important except to say he's also a fantastic father. I would not trade one man for the other. I love him as well, just as much as I loved my ex. I grieve the person I lost but I have moved forward with my life. I think more than anything I miss my ex boyfriend as a person. Not a romantic intrest but someone that I loved down in my bones as a best friend.
I started a new medication a month ago that makes me have vivid dreams. Like, it feels like they're new memories. I cannot describe how incredibly real they are, it feels like I'm living a second life and I'm confused when I wake up and am suddenly back in my house. I'm not cheating on my husband obviously, but I do feel scared of him finding out. It feels like a betrayal that my mind has wandered like this, and I know it would hurt his feelings to know what's happening, so it feels wrong and I feel guilty and awkward about it all. Everytime I go to bed or wake up it feels like I have a dirty secret.
But oh my God. It's like I've been given a gift. Sometimes they're real memories, and other times it's like he's alive again and we're just getting to live our lives. Last night I dreamed we were building a storage shed in our backyard. It was set in present day, so he was older than he even got to fucking live to be. We just talked while he used a nail gun to pit boards into place. I watched him squint from the sun, wrinkle his nose from allergies. I watched him use his sleve to wipe sweat off his face, and look over at me and smile. I don't miss him sexually, I don't even miss him romantically, the dreams aren't ever like that. I just get to see his face. I would kill to lay eyes on him again, with his brown hair long and curling at the ends like it used to be before he had to shave it, and his slightly crooked front middle right tooth. I would kill to hear his laugh again, which was deep and short even though his voice was a bit nasally. I'm sobbing thinking about how I miss him, and I haven't cried over him in years.

Sony Pictures have released a new trailer for Suzume, previously known as Suzume Locking Up the Doors, the latest anime movie by Your Name director Makoto Shinkai. Featuring the English dub voice cast of Suzume, the new trailer arrives just a few weeks before the film hits theaters in the US.

Can I apply for spring sem if If I applied for fall? I Got in but no scholarship so I can't afford to attend.
There's an option to start a new application.
If I can apply again I'm confident I could get some amount of scholarship.
Can I audition with the same piece as I did before?

I have an older brother named Jeremy. Jeremy is normally super sociable and an all around nice guy so it was very surprising when in the last couple of weeks he’s been barely talking to anyone at all. I mean seriously he won’t talk to me, our parents, his girlfriend, anyone. Hell his best friends came around the other week asking if he wanted to play some basketball but he didn’t even come out of his room. That was the last straw for me. Jeremy normally loves basketball and he treats his friends like family, not once in my 15 years of life have I ever seen him not want to hang out with people.
After dinner yesterday, I went up to his room and knocked 3 times on his door. No answer. I knocked 3 more times. No answer
“Jeremy, it’s me Logan can you please open the door”
Just as I said that the door creaked open despite no-one being anywhere near the door, the only person in the room was Jeremy, but it wasn’t Jeremy. I knew it wasn’t. He was curled up in a ball next to his bed sobbing uncontrollably, but the sobs weren’t sadness like his girlfriend broke up with him or something, they were what I can only describe has pure and utter pain. Agony.
I was so focused on Jeremy that I hadn’t even taken the chance to look around the rest of the room. The walls were covered in pentagrams that sent the most spine-chilling feeling down me that nothing else has ever done before. On the floor there was black sludge that smelled like absolute dog shit. The wooden planks that had once been a floor were torn up everywhere so I had to be careful where I stepped as to avoid getting splinters.
“Jeremy what the fuck is going on” I said with my voice shaking in fear

“Seriously Jeremy are you alr-“
I let out the most bloodcurdling scream I have ever produced. I don’t even know if it was a scream since all my strength was going to my legs to keep me held in position.
In the blink of an eye Jeremy had gone from the fetal position sobbing next to his bed a few feet away to standing millimeters away from me. Jeremy has always been taller than me, but the height he was standing at now was nearly impossible for a human being. That wasn’t even the most terrifying part. His eyes were. His eyes were pitch black. An endless void of pain. Then he smiled. A toothy grin filled with sharp fangs and a mouth with that same endless void black. His smile went from one ear to the other. Seriously, it had cut open his face so the corners of his smile stretched from one end of his face to the other. And with a voice I can only describe as the devil speaking through Jeremy, he said “don’t worry Logan he takes care of me now” and then he began contorting I could hear his bones crack and snap as he struggled and then with a flash of black smoke he was gone. A few seconds later I fell to the ground unconscious.
I woke up in my room the next day with my mom and dad on the side of my bed. Outside it was a beautiful sunny day.
“Logan finally you woke up” my mom said frantically.
“Here champ have a glass of water” my dad said handing me a glass of water.
I put the glass down on my bedside table and muttered “what happened”
“Well we found you knocked out cold in the guest room”
Then I remembered what had happened the night before.
“Wait Jeremy, is he ok” I asked shaking with fear
“Who’s Jeremy” my mom asked with confusion in her voice.
“You know my brother Jeremy” I replied not knowing what they meant.
“Son you never had a brother, I think your still a bit tired come on Susan let’s leave so he can get some more sleep” my dad said.
My parents left the room but I was so full of questions I didn’t really care. A few minutes later however, I got the feeling that everything was ok. I felt fine, I looked fine. Hell I even forgot all about Jeremy for a minute.
I am now writing this a few hours later, you may be wondering if I’m ok. But don’t worry I’m fine.
After all, he is taking care of me now.

It's wild how this one person I know acts around their family.
They have their own cash, but they still beg for money from others, acting like they're broke when they're not.
They make up all kinds of excuses and even fibs to avoid helping out an important family member who's always been super generous to them.
But now that family member is in a really bad spot and needs help, for real.
What's the best way to handle someone like that?

Disclaimer - this is a long post! There will be TL;DR at the bottom.
Sorry for the clickbait title, but I'd like this post to reach out to as many people as possible, especially people who're thoroughly enjoying New World yet can't understand how this amazing game is declining in population, a sentiment I've shared until I hit level 60.
A little background - into MMO gaming for close to 20 years now and I probably tried every title under the sun. New World eluded me certainly due to how bad of a launch it went through but after reading about the revamped new player experience and how the game progressively got better I thought I'd give it a try. Here are my observations (from the perspective of a mainly PvP player):

• Combat is amazing. That really is what keeps you going and look forward to end-game. Yes, De-sync is definitely a problem, but not enough to deter you from the game. What can significantly improve this is abilities like Evade Shot, Fleche, etc getting CC immunity within its duration (black desert anyone?).
• Leveling was actually quite okay. Not EPIC or GREAT because it's so difficult to ignore the blatant copy pasta of assets throughout the entire world... Seriously I even had the shower thought this game should be called "Recycle World" not New World. This was a first for me playing most MMO's worth the time, to see such reuse of assets. Quests are fine, but they can be extremely annoying making you go back and forth the same zone for follow up quests. Again, combat carries its weight big time here.
• Throughout leveling I had the War mode enabled the entire time and picked the least dominant faction so I could get more fights in the open world. I had about 10-12 encounters total all the way up to 60, and it was really fun! I started looking forward to Operations (which isn't available until 60, which is super weird considering there's gear scaling to 600 there). So those little open world encounters, in my mind, were the "preview" to what's to come at 60 which really motivated me to keep going. Boy was I wrong!
• Economy is decent for a new player. I've been frequent with my trade posts and managed to amass close to 30k by the time I hit 60. I also upgraded my gear very often, so I'm guessing it could've been closer to 35k if I was very conservative with my spendings. Needless to say it allowed me to prepare to end-game by buying plenty of budget legendaries with a few good perks.
• I bought all the 600 score gear before I hit 60, around lv59. Suffice to say I was shocked to see their levels drop to 500/550 when I hit 60. That's when the biggest problem of the game introduces itself: EXPERTISE.

Alright so at this point I need to expand. I hit 60 and immediately started spamming OPR. Knowing the gear and experience gap, I knew I wasn't going to start shredding old timers right away but I thought there's a possibility to contribute or stand my own, given I play well. No. Absolutely not. Your chances of killing someone who's fully geared and been playing for a while is near 0 even if you hit all your skill shots and they miss theirs. You're literally tickling them and dancing around them while they kill you in a hit or two if they get your hands on you. Potions are regenerating all the damage you can possibly do.
Before you jump in and tell me I should optimize builds, stats, foods, perks, etc... I've done all of those things to the best of my potential for my progression. I bought gear as close to BiS as I can with a few perks missing and as close as possible stat distribution. Yes, it's not perfect but it should allow competition.
Even going full Light with 400 dex and 80 con, heavies are critting other light players... 2500? that's less than what a potion heals.
Anyway - this in itself is not the biggest problem! I'm not one to shy away from progression or challenge, right? And fair is fair, these people are playing for years, they need to be powerful. I get that.
The biggest problem of the game (for a pvp player) is it offers such slow progression for doing pvp related things:

• 2 ruby orbs from OPR and 1 garnet from Arena (enjoy getting max expertise in a year)
• No weapon skill increase from OPArena
• No expertise increase from OPArena
• Time gated gypsum orb caches

Desperate for answers I asked people how I can close this crazy gap and unfortunately I've been informed...

Oh so you wanna compete! Easy bro, just spam Genesis or Lazarus dungeons for a few days until you max your expertise then use those Gypsums to craft caches and upgrade gear to 625.

Like seriously? You're gonna make me spam the same few meaningless dungeons to slowly increase my expertise so I can start enjoying the game? Thank you but no thank you!
I wanna preface by saying I think most people quit before making it as far as I did. Nothing's a major red-flag, to be honest. The copy pasting of the world and 0 effort questing and leveling experience will probably get to some people, especially if they're not a fan of action combat. But even the most determined and hardcore player will call out this BS of a system and switch for an alternative (there are plenty).
The fixes are extremely simple:

• Allow weapon skill increase in OPRs.
• Allow expertise increase from OPR (even +2 each item per OPR played, so I can do what I love to progress)
• Remove Gypsum cache craft timers
• Let people join OPR earlier (their gear scales to 600), give them some exp so it can be a slower but viable alternative to questing.
• Tweak abilities with movement so they gain CC immunity (not invulnerability)

The game has SO MUCH POTENTIAL! Squandered on bad game designs and systems. The funniest part is, it's NOT AT ALL ABOUT MONETIZATION. Usually bullshit game designs are a part of the P2W scheme with MMOs. Not here! It's bullshit just because! I'm honestly baffled. I really wanted to get into this MMO but sadly it's still not there yet. Will be keeping an eye on it for sure, but through the lenses of playing another MMO, sadly.

TL;DR:
Too much world copy paste. Massive gear gap between new players and old timers, means to close that gap efficiently is limited to repetitive PvE chores. Should be possible to progress PvP-only! Remove timer from Gypsum Caches ffs what the hell is the point. Game is not new player friendly at all and has no reason to be that way.

As the title says, the landlord of our house has notified us over the weekend that they intend to put it on the market and sell, and I'm looking for advice on our rights and how best to play things with them.
Sorry if this gets a bit long, I'm going to try to provide as much detail and context as possible.
My wife and I have been living in this house since the end of March 2019. We have both been married before and between us have 3 children.
We'd not lived together before we moved into this house, so renting made sense at the time. The house had been perfect for us. 4 bedrooms so the kids all have their own room and lots of other things that just work. My step daughter (9) has autism and struggles significantly with change. The house is very much a safe environment for her.
Buying isn't affordable for us. Not necessarily relevant, but I mention for context around the conversations we've had with the landlord over our time in the house and to avoid advice in comments suggesting we buy.
We have always had a good relationship with our private landlord and I would like to think that we have been model tenants. There have never been any issues from either side and they even sent a gift when they found out we got married last year.
We've expressed to them several times over the past 4 years that we would like to stay here in the house for the long term. They've always been open that they plan to sell the house at some stage, but equally have been very open to the idea of us staying for longer and have told us many times that they would always give us plenty of notice if and when they did decide to sell.
After the first 2 years of living here (2x 12 month agreements), we then agreed to make the next agreement 18 months. This expired at the end of Septemebr 2022.
Around March/April last year they reached out to discuss arrangements for the end of that agreement. They were considering selling, but wanted to understand our plans as they were open to keeping the house on too if we wanted to stay.
We advised them that we would ideally like to stay, but understood that it was their perogative to sell and appreciated them reaching out so far in advance.
They informed us that they were happy for us to stay, but that the estate agent* had advised them that the rental market had moved quite a bit and were recommending a fairly significant rent increase.
I suggested to them that we cut out the agent to reduce their fees and draw up an AST directly between us. This would enable them to still make the same amount of money, but reduce the rental increase for us.
I also said that, to give us a bit more security, I'd like to make the agreement 2 years. We were especially keen to lock in the extended period to minimise the risk of change for my step daughter (the landlord is aware of her autism and how it affects her life).
Again, they were happy to do that. They had an agreement drawn up by a lawyer and we signed for 24 months at the end of Septemebr 2022.
*The arrangement with the estate agent and the landlord was for finding tenants (us), running references and managing contract renewals. We have always paid rent directly to the landlord and I think (can't be 100% sure) we had to pay a fee each time to the agent when we renewed contracts.
Naturally, believing that we'd made an agreement in good faith backed up with an AST for 24 months we've been blissfully going about our lives.
So it was something of a shock last night when our landlord sent a voice message via WhatsApp to inform us that they now planned to sell the house and wanted to let us know 'as soon as possible' so we had enough notice to make plans for moving on.
This was then backed up with a letter sent by email, which cites that their mortgage on the property needs renewing later in the year (no specifics on when) and that "changes in interest rates and taxation laws now makes it untenable for us to keep the property as we would be losing money."
They go on to say "we know this will come as a blow as you have been very happy in the property and we have been delighted to have you as tenants."
My first response was to check the AST we signed.
Annoying, I'd either missed the break clause at the time or, given the amicable nature of our relationship and the discussions around staying, disregarded its significance.
Essentially, it states that either party can terminate by giving "3 months' notice in writing, such notice not to expire until after 6 months of the start date of the Term"
The contact from the landlord was made 6 months and 3 days after the start date of the Term.
So.... what I'd really like to understand is where we stand and how to proceed from here.

1. They haven't specifically stated that they are giving us notice. Just that they intend to sell. Their letter states that they wouldn't expect any sale to go through to completion until at least September. Should we take the letter as notice, or do they specifically need to state that they are issuing notice?
   
2. Are they able to just do this full stop? I assume the break clause covers them, but I'd be keen to understand our rights as sitting tenants. It's pretty poor form to change direction so soon into a 2 year agreement
   
3. Do we have to cooperate with things like estate agents visiting to get valuations/take photos etc? Their letter says they will be in touch to make plans for an estate agent to visit and that this can be at a time convenient to us and that they can escort the agent if we don't want to be home. What are our rights here and what advise would you give on how we should approach this?
   
4. How should we respond in the first instance to their communication. I guess we need to acknowledge them, but want to make sure we don't trip ourselves up when we do.
   

We've probably got lots of other questions which I will add in edits as they come to us.
We don't want to move foe reasons stated. But also, the rental market has skyrocketed. We had a very good deal, and we are looking at having to leave the area to a cheaper area and even then I'd expect at to be paying at least £500-600 more than we are at the moment.
Frankly, we're screwed and I feel really let down by these people.
I'd really appreciate specific answers to our questions and any general advice for things we've not thought of yet.
