Every time I’m anxious or spiraling everyone around me just tells me to “think positive” and not think about the negative stuff. My mom sometimes gets annoyed and starts shouting at me that I am just too pessimistic and won’t get anywhere in life if I continue to only think in the negatives. I don’t do it on purpose. I try to think positively but it’s soon followed by twenty other reasons why I’ll fail. I'm not sure what to do to make it stop.

I have no personal frame of reference for this opinion, but I imagine being a drug runner for the Mexican cartel (or any cartel) is loads more fun in a video game setting than in real life. The latter pays more I'm sure, but the stress, risk to life and limb, and persistent threat of jail time have me convinced to stick with legal employment. Not so for some GTA Online gamers who thought it a good idea to become meth mules.
It sounds wild (because it is), but apparently drug cartels sometimes use online multiplayer video games as a source for new blood. Back in October of last year, for example, Mexico's assistant public safety secretary, Ricardo Mejía, said a cartel recruiter purchased bus tickets for three teenagers between 11 and 14 years old.
The recruiter found the teens on Garena Free Fire, a popular online game, and offered them each $200 per week to serve as lookouts for the cartel. Authorities detained the teens before they boarded the bus, but Mejía told ABC News that other cartels have also recruited drug mules and lookouts through video games, including Call of Duty, Gears of War, and Grand Theft Auto V.
Now three months later, Forbes says it discovered that US officials have evidence showing GTA Online is also used as a recruitment tool for drug cartels.
It's not clear how long this has allegedly been going on, but according to the site, border agents stopped and inspected a Jeep Cherokee in Arizona last November and found almost 60 kilograms of methamphetamine. The driver, Alyssa Navarro, said a man named George first contacted her in GTA Online, through which they got to know each other over time.
Those in-game chats later pivoted over to Snapchat, where George raised the idea of being a runner, albeit for electronics to be sold in Mexico. Navarro claims she was offered up to $2,000 per trip, depending on the size of the load.
The only problem for Navarro is that the cartel allegedly hid meth in the Jeep's fuel tank. Authorities have charged Navarro with conspiracy to import and sell meth, and also possession, charges for which she has pleaded not guilty.
It remains to be seen how that case will turn out. Suffice to say, though, if someone online propositions you for an offer that seems too good to be true—or is outright illegal—it's best to politely decline.

My PC was working fine until one day it crashed during a game, a hard reboot. Once the PC restarted it would lock up every time I got into Windows. Sometimes I could get past my login screen, other times it would just lock up then and there. On occasion too when the freeze would happen I would see a whole lot of artifacts.
I was able to start in Safe Mode without any lock ups however once out of Safe Mode it would lock up. I was able to start it also in Low Resolution mode without any issue however as soon as I changed the resolution to my monitor which was 4k it would freeze.
I have tried looking at my Event Viewer and noticed an error with 'nvlddmkm'. I will post below what I have done but I uninstalled the Nvidia drivers using DDU and I would be able to boot up normally however everytime I then install any Nvidia driver it would freeze at the end just like how it would freeze during startup.
Here are things I have done to try and fix this. I am in the process of RMAing the card however being in the IT field for 20+ years it just doesn't make sense to me that it's the card since it can boot into Safe Mode but once the Nvidia drivers kick in on a normal boot it locks up. - Updated Asus BIOS to latest 4602 and also flashed back to 2 previous versions. (Since it didn't work I am back on 4602)
- Reinstalled OS x3
- Installed latest Nvidia driver (531.41) and rolled back to 3 previous versions
- Swapped out PCIe Power cables and adapter
- Put 4090 in a different PCIe port (also reseated)
- Set the PCIe to Gen 3 and Gen 4 in BIOS
- Set Prefer Maximum Performance in Nvidia Control Panel
- Tried two different monitors and two different ports (HDMI and DP)

This wall is the ideal spot for where I want to put a Murphy bed, but right now there is a light fixture (two 60w bulbs) and a dimmer switch.
Basically I just need a flat surface where the murphy bed can be affixed to the wall. Since the live wires can't just live in the wall on their own, would it be easiest just to put a small LED light with a swinging arm put in the place where the dimmer switch currently is? (Where the current fixture is would be two high up to just replace it). The frame can be put around the small light.
Is there another easy solution I'm missing or not thinking of? (New first time home owner, NYC Building codes, not planning to do this myself, will hire a local electrician but just trying to get ideas ) Thank you.

Hey everybody. Im a 19 year old Male who’s currently going through an ocd fear of becoming schizophrenic. It’s a repetitive cycle of delusional thoughts mixed with “what if I believe that” or “what if this is the start of schizophrenia”. It’s weird thoughts like I’m being watched or there’s someone after me etc etc. also thinking my food is poisoned but still eating it. I know these thoughts are insane cause I laugh at them sometimes but it’s really really distressing nonetheless. It’s a cycle that starts and stops and I’m just asking for any advice on how to stop it.
