There needs to be stricter consequences for leavers. I had 3 leavers today and it just ruins the experience and any chances of climbing consistently. You should be banned for a day if you leave 2 games, banned for a week for 3, banned for a month for 4, and banned for the season if you leave 5.
Making it so that you’re not severely punished until you reach the 5 game mark encourages players to leave knowing there’s no real consequences unless you reach the 5 game mark.
Leavers suck. Everyone has bad games, but ruining it for everyone else should be a serious offense. You queued up, so sit it through. Period. Half the time the game can be turned around the next round. So many games are like that, but leaving ruins your chances.. what is the point. I have never left a comp game and never will (barring an emergency of course). If it’s a bad match I’ll sit through it and try to win regardless bc I’m not a dick head

Hey! Please assist me in reaching a conclusion by clearing my doubts.
I got an admission offer from Georgia State University with a 100% out-of-state tuition fee waiver & Mississippi State University with a scholarship of 19k/year in the Computer Science Department. The COA of both universities is similar; consequently, making it hard for me to decide. I have some questions regarding GSU that might help me form a firm decision.
1). GSU has the major advantage of being situated in the heart of Atlanta and hence, becomes more serene and simple for students to get internships and hands-on work experience. However, finding the first internship is always a bit complicated, SO HOW DOES UNIVERSITY HELP STUDENTS TO CRACK THEIR FIRST INTERNSHIPS? DOES GSU ORGANISE SOME KIND OF CAREER FAIR OR IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE?
2). Making great connections with professors is necessary to get more opportunities in respective fields. ARE PROFESSORS FRIENDLY (I mean do they get time to engage with their students) and give students research opportunities? WHAT IS THE CLASS SIZE FOR THE COMPUTER SCIENCE DEPARTMENT?

tl;dr -she broke up with me because she didn't know what she wanted, suprise it's her guy friend for sure.
After 8 years together and nearly 2 years living together, she (23) broke up with me (m 23).
We went to study together in the same city. I dropped out last summer and got a job, decent Software Dev job. Bought her nice things, her favourite snacks, etc. I thought she was happy, however, I liked to stay more home and be just with her and she likes to be out. Don't get me wrong we where doing social activities, but not as much as she wanted I guess.
Her behaviour changed after New year, she had a lot in a day, school and job, so I cooked for us and she had a meal ready when she came. So I thought she is kinda stressed and that's why she is acting different. In the last 4 months there wasn't much space to do somethings. Nearly every weekend she went home to parents, I went mb every other weekend. At the weekend she was with her family so we just went out to get a dinner at Friday or Saturday. Actually many time she refused to go BC it was too late or so.
In the working week, the last 4 months, she came around 8 pm home 3 days of the week. And on the Friday she traveled to the parents. So we had like 1 normalish day.
The whole time that she was weird she didn't say much about this problem (asked her many times what is wrong), about her, thinking to end things between us. The first, like serious talk we had, was 5 weeks back. (Brake up happend 2 w ago)
She talked about that, she wanted to spend more time togheter. I was like sure. Next 3 weeks we went to a 2 social events (like meeting with friends out) and every evening she came late, I asked her to play cards at least (she likes to). Many times she declined because she is tired.
Week before she broke up with me she went to Amsterdam with her friends/classmates (there was one particular guy let's call him M, she did mentioned him few times last 6 months, like when we where talking about her day a stuff). I am not the jealous type, she asked me to go with them for the trip, but I declined bc. we were planing bigger trip in the summer and was trying to save up for down payment for a flat, so I wanted to save some money.
One week after her trip to AM, I had a weekend with just 4 friends. Like a LAN party type thing. She went home to her parents.
Her messaging was wierd, didn't think much about it, since she could be just.. idk really don't. When I got on train, she send the classic we need to talk when we get home.
We talked and she said she don't know what she wants and that we are different. I asked her if there is somebody else, she said no. I cried, she cried a bit, but probably just bc she is not a sociopath so she felt bad for me I guess.
We stayed in the rented place for 2 weeks, we rotated between bedroom and couch. Nearly every day she came around 10-11 pm. I found a shared flat with roommates so did she. Yesterday I moved in new fkat, she did too.
We did say our goodbyes on Friday morning, hugged and stuff. I was like ok, maybe she will know what she wants after a while and we can start over.
Yesterday she posts on her ig story a picture from a new flat, a welcome party I guess. There were her new roommates (girls) and a M right next to her sitting (one more guy friend, from a group that she hangs out with, but no girl friends from that group).
At that moment it clicked, all the things she said about him and stuff she did with him that I didn't know (checked his profile). They sure spend more time togheter than we did, since they go to school togheter and hangout in group.
I am f-in broken, unfriended her every where. Deleted all photos.
She lied for sure, the only reason they didn't move togheter is because he lives with his parents for sure. (In our country, kids that have uni near, live with parents traditionally till the end of uni)
I am here sitting and don't know what to do with my life, If I could be a better boyfriend maybe we could be still togheter.
We were planing the future togheter and than this happend. Aaaaaaa. I loved her, she could at least told me the truth.

Why we are encouraged by Kazuki Tomono's fighting spirit. His "captivating" performance that had the audience on their feet, and his competitive spirit of "believing in himself".
Japan's first back-to-back championships won by Shoma Uno and Kaori Sakamoto. Rikuryu (Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara) became the first Japanese team to win the Grand Slam of the year. Furthermore, they became the first Japanese team to win all three categories. Kanadai (Kana Muramoto/Daisuke Takahashi) tied for Japan's highest ever ranking. The World Figure Skating Championships were full of records.
All the athletes, both domestic and international, shined in their own ways, but it was Kazuki Tomono who left an unforgettable sparkle in the hearts of all who saw his performance.
Despite some falls in both the Short Program (SP) and Free Skating (FS), he showed no signs of breakdowns, and placed 6th with his outstanding performance. Especially in FS, despite some mistakes, he marked 180.73 points, a new personal best. He made the packed Saitama Super Arena stand in awe of his performance.
He has now competed in 3 World Championships, and has recorded personal bests on all 3 occasions. What is the secret of his amazing strength in the competition? In order to tell you about Tomono's strength to live up to expectations, we would like to start by retracing his steps.
Never a promising athlete in his youth
Born in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture in 1998, Tomono began skating at the age of 4, but he was never a promising skater from the start. One of the proofs of this is the Nobeyama Training Camp. This was a training camp for novice skaters (9 to 12 years old as of July 1 of that year), both boys and girls, to gather promising skaters from all over the country, and the first group of students produced Shizuka Arakawa, a gold medalist at the Torino Olympics. Since then, world champions such as Daisuke Takahashi, Miki Ando, Mao Asada, and Yuzuru Hanyu have gone on to become world champions through this "Nobeyama Training Camp".
Current national team candidates such as Shoma Uno, Sota Yamamoto, Shun Sato, and Kao Miura have also experienced the Nobeyama Training Camp. However, Tomono has never participated in the Nobeyama training camp. In other words, he was not considered a future national team candidate at that time. Tomono is also loved by skating fans for his unique programs such as "Japanese Doll" and "Fate of the Dog Officer," but the road to the top in Japan was difficult, and he revealed that he had planned to leave the competitive world after graduating from university.
However, in 2018, he placed 5th at her first World Championships. What was supposed to be just a student sport turned out to be the world's TOMONO. From here, Tomono's skating life changed at once.

Behind those words was a break with himself, who had never been raised by the elite. It is true that my skating life may not have been what the adults expected of me. There may be many stars who are more talented than me. I believe that those who are in the world of competitions have to suffer in ways that we cannot even imagine.
But I am standing in this place right now. Let me believe in that, first of all. Let's expect more from ourselves than anyone else. That is how Tomono was able to change his mind. In this way, he was able to overcome his weakness.
Believing in Yourself" Makes Tomorrow a Little Better
Figure skating is famous for its short life span. Although not as long as women's figure skaters, most men's skaters also say goodbye to their competitive careers in their 20s. Tomono, now 24 years old, may not have much time left in his competitive career.
I am sure that teenage athletes will be gaining strength from now on. No one can guarantee that they will be able to compete in the World Championships again next year.
But strangely, when I look at Tomono, such pessimistic feeling disappears somewhere. Rather, my heart gets excited that Kazuki Tomono's prime period starts now. This is surely because we are also inspired by the "strength to believe in oneself" that Tomono has acquired.
People are not strong creatures. We make excuses, and we also make weak noises. We are tormented by a sense of inferiority, thinking we are not good enough compared to others, or we raise the white flag before we even begin to fight for fear of getting hurt. The more we grow up, the better we get at finding reasons not to do things.
It is easy to run away from our weaknesses. But that doesn't open the door to the future.
Even if you were not blessed with talent or the right environment from the start, if you have worked hard, you must first properly believe in yourself. Stop belittling yourself and give yourself more credit than anyone else for the person you are right now.
Seeing Tomono, who was defeated by his rivals that day, but still determined to "face his own strength, not his own weakness," gives me such courage. You don't have to have any evidence. It doesn't matter if it is bullshit or a bluff.
The highlight of Tomono's performance was the choreo sequence at the end of the competition. Failures, hesitations, worries, complexes, all are blown away as Tomono runs across the ice with such speed. The sense of speed and the exhilaration of his performance make the audience feel happy.
