2023.04.02 11:45 _XSUN_ Shroom for anxiety

For those of you who is doing this for anxiety, stress, overthinking etc? What is working for you? Do you microdose, macrodose, take high doses? How much and how often :) My initial plan was to microdose (liberty cap), but I'm not sure if this is the right path for me. I have felt zero effect microdosing (but then again I also read it might take up to 6 weeks to work). I did my first medium trip last week and had an amazing week after, but can feel my anxiety coming back to normal now, not that I did expect anything else.. but I would like to hear from people in the same 'boat' what they are doing. Thanks :)

About The Course:
This course outlines the systems and secrets I used to make over $300,000+ in my first year with entrepreneurship
While I was still 17 years old…
And was also a high school dropout…
So what’s your excuse? It’s time to crush it.
I want you to take a moment and imagine a world where you could…
Never worry about money ever again. Build a six figure marketing agency and the best part? it’s a reality that all of my students are living RIGHT NOW. Take care of your family & loved ones. Yeah… this is something close to my heart. My marketing agency finally allowed me to take care of my mom and the people who believed in me when I had nothing. Travel the world, anytime! Yes… that’s right. After this course you will have the location freedom to travel anywhere in the world you want!
Now, who is the genius (kidding… kinda) behind this whole course?
Let me introduce myself, my name is Iman. At the age of Seventeen, I dropped out of high school to commit to the world of online marketing. Within my first year I had made over $300,000+, I had traveled the world working from my computer, I had constructed my dream lifestyle and this was all done through the power of what I teach in Six Figure SMMA. I run my own digital marketing agency based out here in London, although we have clients out in Amsterdam and St. Tropez.
I have my personal brand which is another six figure business…
Then I have a few other smaller income streams here and there. I love the internet! Haha
Damn… I worked hard for this life. I worked hard to create the sort of income where I can take care of my family and not even check the price…
I guess that’s why I’m so passionate about what I teach. It’s because it changed my life in unexplainable ways. I don’t think I could ever go back to my old life after living like this.

2023.04.02 11:45 Muldin7500 Lets talk about d4 music and Matt Uelmen

While i did enjoy a few of the tracks in d4 so far ( city song ). I do hope there will be a bit more ''sinister upbeat music'' like Matt Uelmen had. Are there any information why Matt Uelmen was not part of d4 at all? any gossip ?.
It's rarely where i am humming to some music game after i played it , and d1 and d2 just stuck to me, Few other mentions are songs like redalert and doom theme music.
Does anyone know anything? about their decision to not bring the diablo legend onboard?

2023.04.02 11:44 Nezukore I feel like my friend is only using me as a financial safety net. Am I overthinking?

Hi, sorry for format, I’m on mobile. I (26 nb) have lived with my friend (26 M) of nearly 10 years for about 6 months. We also lived together for about a year in college. I initially told him that he could move in because he was having difficulty finding an apartment within his budget because his job did not pay him enough/give him enough hours to afford a place in my city.
He moved in October of 2022 with the stipulation that he would only stay 2-3 months until he could save for moving costs and find a cheap enough apartment or get a better paying job. He has been paying me about 1/3 of the rent while I pay the remaining 2/3rds and the utilities. In this time he has not found a better paying job and is now in panic mode because my lease is ending in June and I plan to move.
Before he moved in, he would often ask to come over and do his laundry here because the facilities in his complex were down. Our mutual friend who lived closer to him offered to allow him to do his laundry there, and from that point on he didn’t come to hang out with me again until moving in.
After moving in he remained holed up in his room (which is fine, personal space) but would not hang out with me at all unless it was initiated by me or he needed something. I’ve recently learned that he’s been going to mutual friend’s house about once weekly whereas I can barely get him to hang out with me once per month if that. Mind you, I introduced them about a year ago and they did not hang out until she offered him the laundry services.
Another instance that frustrated me was when I was playing a game we both play frequently and he walked past me in the living room playing for hours, but when an online friend of mine he’d met once was on, he immediately noticed and asked to join.
It’s not for lack of trying to hang out because I often ask him for game recommendations for us to play together or suggest board games, movies or other activities to do which are mostly refused.
I feel as though he doesn’t value me as a friend as much as a financial safety net as I told him if he really can’t find a better job or cheaper apartment that he could stay with me and I could look for a two bedroom on the next move instead of a one. Part of me feels that I’m overreacting, but the way I feel and some of my friends’ feedback is telling me that I’m not.
Thanks in advance for any advice you all can give me!

2023.04.02 11:44 Laenic [Dreadgod]My thoughts on Lindon

So I realize that this will most likely make me the minority and it's not something I yell from the rooftops, This really isnt a shitpost. But having read the Cradle up until to Dreadgod, Lindon is actually my least favorite character. I binged all the books, I even took sometime away from them to revaluate my thoughts and I like the series, but just not the MC.
I just felt that his power creep from Unsouled to Dreadgod was way too fast and it never seemed to me like he had any real challenges. In the beginning I was interested because it seemed like the setup was him having a disability and having to find ways to overcome it. I loved the idea that in a world where everyone could read, he had dyslexia and would be come the next Stephen King. But it seems like with every book he gets told you wont be able to achieve ______ or you don't have the knowledge or power to do ______. So he gets a major level up to do said thing. I hadn't been paying attention to the timeline but when I got to Bloodline and realize it had only been 3ish years and he was already a Overlord vs Mercy who at 18 with the help of her Monarch mother had just become a Lady and had to use her book or Ziel who reached it before the last uncrowned tournament but was atleast in mid to late 20's. Like we're told that even with prodigies being taught from Archlord/Ladies and having the best elixirs and pills. Hitting it under 30 was miraculous but Lindon somehow does it in under 3 and even though he is supposed to have a harder time than most. But here he was constantly going up against opponents leagues stronger than him and coming out on top and I felt that he lost that sense of humility that he had in the beginning. I know that it's framed as Lindon not really knowing or understanding how strong he was but honestly to me he lost that once he got to Lord Status, His drive is just to constantly get stronger and more powerful just didn't come off right to me.
Additionally I remember during the Uncrowned Tournament Arc thinking he would logically make it to the top 5-10 but lose, because realistically speaking he is a prodigy, but he was going against the best of the best with a couple years training vs 3+ decades. It really wouldn't have made any sense for it to go the other way. And I understand that the consensus might have been the other direction in the subreddit during that time. I believe he had lost at the time and was watching Yerrin continue and the thoughts he had annoyed me so much. He just seemed so butthurt about the fact that he lost, it almost actually made me not finish. I've read enough stories about the MC gaining immense power and beating every enemy that they encounter that I was happy it didn't seem to be happening this time. Also Yerrin spent years being taught by a sage, had enough will to hold back a piece of the Bleeding Phoenix for days, I understand being sad but really she was always going to be better than him. I actually really enjoyed it when Eithan taught her how to use the Madra around her to "see" in a different way and I felt that it would have helped me feel more for Lindon if he had been taught the same thing vs using Dross as an adhoc tactical computer or having a hunger arm that sucks up madra. He never actually seems to learn or improve after a certain point just create new device or technique, Rinse and repeat.
So like I said in the beginning I understand that most people won't agree with me and I'm happy to listen and understand other points of view. I actually read the series before I found other subreddits like Progressionfantasy or Litrpg. So to see the wide acclaim and interest didn't surprise me but it doesn't seem like most have the same thought on the MC. Additionally I actually enjoy the series it has enough depth that you could right 5 different series set in the same universe or multiverse. So it's not a fuck Cradle post more I enjoy the other characters more than the MC. Hopefully with Waybound it'll change.

2023.04.02 11:43 PigeonBodyFluids Something forcing i7 13700 to idle at 60°

From time to time my pc just decides its not worth it to run at lower clocks, and idles at around 60°. My regular idle temperature is between 33-41.
My main suspicion was power plan, which was apparently set to 'Ultimate performance'. From what I've read it isn't even a default power mode, the user has to create ot first, which I have not done. After setting it to balanced, the issue was kind of resolved. However after few days of use the issue came back, and after checking, the 'Ultimate performance ' mode was selected again. I've deleted all the other power modes except balanced, which again was working for a while.
Now sometimes, the pc just decides to idle at 60° anyway even without the Ultimate performance mode. This is usually resolved by just restarting, but is still pretty annoying. There shouldn't be any demanding background process, just the usual; nvidia control panel, Bitdefender, logi options etc. Anyone had similar issue, or has any idea what might be causing this?

2023.04.02 11:43 Tiennazuki How the naval composition for both sides look like during the First Indochina War (1946-1954)?

I read the First Indochina War (1946-1954) and found out most of the focus was mostly land and air. On the navy topic I didn't know much about the navy composition of the French and the Vietnamese during the war. Something like what kind of French ships had been sent to Indochina after WW2 and what kind of Soviet ships had been supplied to Democratic Republic of Vietnam during 1946-1954 period.
I hope somebody could help me about it about the details of the naval composition of both sides. Would be very appreciated.

After 4 movies, killing hundreds of people and dragging some of his closest friends and their families into life or death situations, JW finally accepts death... and for what? It's not like the table went up in a puff of smoke, they just replaced the Frenchman with someone else.
It just felt like it was all for nothing. They could have given the plot waaaay more substance and weight being potentially the very last movie in the series.

2023.04.02 11:42 bmrk Synastry vs composite - key differences and uses? (romantic context)

What information do you get from each chart type? What situations would you use each in? Is one more accurate than the other in predicting a relationships trajectory?
For personal context: I’ve been in a “situationship” for the past 3 years that’s been going pretty much nowhere. We’ve both had a lot of personal growth since it began and over the past few weeks it’s started looking like there’s potential for commitment and growth in the relationship. This Aries season is impactful for both our charts (particularly in the 5th and 7th houses) and so I’ve been looking at our synastry to try and get a better idea of what’s going on. We have some really positive aspects but some really challenging ones too. Then, today I looked at the composite and there’s loads of positive stuff going on in the 7th house and no challenging aspects whatsoever. Which has left me more confused than ever lmao, so I’m just after some more insight on what exactly each one is telling me?

2023.04.02 11:42 mainleads cheap math revision resource

i know a lot of you have exams soon and want to look for resources to revise for math(!) especially but many resources out there are really expensive so i just wanted to come to this subreddit and say that i have been using ed-xp.com for around a month now and it has helped me improve my grades in math TREMENDOUSLY - i went from getting 5s to 7s in a month.
they have sub-sub topic questions at various levels that will help you practice. also when you sign up you can take an initial assessment to help determine where you are at and work from there which is especially helpful if ur m23!! after you do your assessments and trainings it even shows you how well you did for each topic which really helps you to determine your personal strengths and weaknesses (and they even recommend specific questions based on your performance)
it is paid, but currently they have a discount on their website where it is $8 for 3 months and even though i’m m24, i think it’s really good for its price and i hardly use paid services so this says a lot. they’ve also recently given a 25% discount code to all of the users who paid and said that you could share it to anyone, i’ll put it here: TYFYS25 (expires on April 10th)
Hope this helps some people!

2023.04.02 11:42 ponchill For the first time in my life, I don’t want to celebrate my birthday

Growing up I had the kind of family that believed your birthday was the most special day of the year and I have always said it is my favourite day. Every other year I have spent practically the whole year planning a full week of celebrations for my birthday. I’ve always loved doing this as it’s a chance to see all my friends and family and get everyone together for a huge party! This year I am turning 22 and I’m not sure if it’s just because it’s not an “exciting” age to turn or if it’s some kind of breakdown in my head about becoming a proper adult and actually having responsibilities and all that but I just have no excitement or want to actually celebrate.
This is where the problem comes in. Because I always throw massive elaborate events for my birthday a lot of people look forward to it and I have had so many people speak to me about how excited they are to see what I do this year and they can’t wait for their invites. But I really don’t want to do anything and would rather just have a meal with my three closest friends. I feel like by not having a huge party like normal I may a) regret it massively after the fact and b) upset a lot of people by not giving them the opportunity to celebrate with me
Any advice on this would be incredible because I have been stressing and crying over this for days and I have hit such a wall with what to do.

2023.04.02 11:42 YamiJanp March - Fishing can be scary [13/25]

Not much happened in March. I slowly finished Divinity: Original Sin 2, which I enjoyed and then started several games at once. I barely touched Xenoblade Chronicles 3, then started Monster Crown, but didn't like it, I played like 3 levels from Heidi: The Game for GBA (don't ask), made a tiny progress in Final Fantasy 2, started Pathfinder: Kingmaker and I also played quite a lot of Hero's Hour. I decided to check the game as finished when a) the main story is finished or b) I play finish every map/mode in a game without story. Hero's Hour has no story mode. So, it will take me much longer than I expected. I hoped it will be short in and out strategy game. I'm almost done with the game now, I still have like 4 maps to win. Oh and I got awesome idea to make a "themed night" and played several games with horror-fishing theme on itch.io. They were fun. I think I'll do something similar again with different theme. As always beware of spoilers. Now, let's talk about these games...
First, let's talk about the rabbit hole of Horror Fishing. Several Game Jams with this theme took place in the last few years. I hand-picked 4 games that looked interesting for me, played them and ranked them afterwards. Here are the games and my thoughts on them. Since all of them took me about 10 minutes to finish each and I didn't really measured the proper time, I don't mention time for each game separately:
A Wonderful Day for Fishing
The first game that got me to the genre, but to be honest, it wasn't really that great in comparison to the rest of the games in this post. It's a cool concept. You're fishing progressively weirder and weirder fishes, which you can either eat or release. I don't think releasing them does anything at all. Eating them sometimes gives you weird effect like your eyes being replaced by dark voids, your mouth growing big and so on, but I rarely got these effects and when they appeared, they only made me giggle a little bit by how comical they were. I spent the most time in this game, because it has no ending, which I had no idea about. So I kept fishing, even getting all different fish and waited for something to happed. It also didn't help that the gameplay is not that engaging. You're just waiting for a prompt to appear, look at a fish, read its desription and then either eat it or release it.
Overall, I think this game shows really cool idea that could be worked into a great horror game. But as it is right now, it was pretty weak. 6.5/10.
The Thing in The Lake
Suprisingly wholesome horror game. I liked the minimalistic art style and colour palette. It' short, I think I got both endings (which require playing the game twice) in about 5 minutes in total. There is no fishing mechanic, which si understandable with how the game presents itself. The writing is okay and especially the ending is somewhat surprising, wholesome from one perspective, but quite creepy in the other.
Overall, it was the second game I've played on the themed night and it was great after the not-so-good start. But it falls behind the rest games in this post. 7/10.
lure
This game made me laugh so much at the end. I know it's a horror game, but the ending was just so unexpected and... actually original. The game itself once again took me about 5 minutes to beat. I enjoyed the PS1 aesthetics. The fishing part was simple - you cjust click a mouse and wait. This was also the first game, in which I was feeling uneasy and had to check my (in-game) surroundings every time I got a fish to make sure nothing is creeping up on me. And even after this, the ending came unexpected and actually made me jump a little bit.
Overall, the third game and the bar went up once again. And once again, I wish this was made into bigger game. 7.5/10.
GONE FISHING
Another PS1-like game and the one that is probably the most complete and offers the most content. It offers so much content that I managed to completely break it. The moment I started playing, I wanted to test how controls work and somehow opened a secret area. I was taken by surprise, but continued on and after few minutes of exploring, I unlocked a true ending. You can imagine how confused I was. So, I started the game again and accidentally opened another secret area. I unlocked another 2 endings in this area. And only on my third attempt, I actually got to the "main" storyline and the fishing. And it was fun. The fishing minigame worked well and I got quite good at it after a while. I don't know why, but some of the areas in the game reminded me of DUSK I've played earlier this year. The story was a little bit confusing, but that's probably on me for getting the information out of order. Also, I'm not sure how, but I missed the "final" jumpscares in 3 out of 5 endings. I was either looking somewhere else or didn't notice it at all until it was over.
Overall, this was the best game I've played during the themed night. It had the best fishing mechanic and the most horror elements in it. It also worked as a game and not just as a concept. 8/10.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 (BEWARE OF SPOILERS)
I was never a fan of CRPGs. I was afraid of them, when I was younger (and most of the famous CRPGs were new), because they felt too complex and hard for me. Last year, I've played Baldur's Gate and wasn't really a fan of it. It felt outdated, boring and nothing like people made me think CRPGs are supposed to be. So, it might be a huge surprise that I enjoyed Divinity and couldn't get enough of it to the point that I considered second playthrougth right after the first one.
The game reminded me of original Dragon's Age. Which is one of my favourite RPG of all time. Not just with the art style, but you could pick several different playable characters with different story beats and the story somehow reminded me of Grey Warden's journey. I picked Fane as my main character, which I think was the best decision I could have make. First, playing as undead added a whole new dimension to the game, with reverted healing and poisoning and the need to cover your face. Second, Fane's story was the most interesting out of all available characters' stories. Most of them were just a variation of "you're X and your goal is to kill Y" motivation. Fane's story was nice change. And it ties nicely to the main story. I also decided to do a small challenge and played solo, instead of in a group. This made a game even more enjoyable for me. There was small difficulty spike at the final location, but I still managed to solo the game.
The story was okay. I was never fan of "chosen one" storylines, but this was somehow manageable. And it makes sense for the most time. I didn't like the huge story exposition at the end, which was made worse by my choice to play as Fane. Also, I think Lucian's plan made no sense. He faked his death and locked himself in a tomb made out of material that blocks magic so gods can't find him, yet he's able to use magic to drain gods' power. And why did he fake his death anyway? He's popular and quite a few people don't like gods anyway. The ending felt rushed. Which is a shame, because it left a sour taste in my mouth.
I was glad there was turn-based battle system. One problem I had with original Baldur's Gate was early game combat. It took so much time to hit something. Divinity solved this problem and made the whole combat feel more like D&D. The amount of skills felt overwhelming to the point that I had to check some builds to get an idea on how to build my Fane. In the end, I went with 2H weapons and bunch of Warfare and Polymorph skills that gave me bunch of options to quickly move around the battlefield and deal damage to more enemies at once. And I got Barbar tag later in the game, which had no effect on battles, it just added more flavour to my build. When I got to Arx, this strategy wasn't enough. I had to find better strategy. And found out some Necromancy spells scaled with my stats and dealt physical damage. And it had one of the best AoE spells in the whole game.
Overall, I enjoyed this game more than I expected. And I mean it. It easily got to my RPG TOP10. And it made me consider buying Baldur's Gate 3 in August. 9.5/10.
I mixed up themes for March and April and played my April game in March. I wanted to also finish March theme on time and quickly picked up Hero's Hour in a hope it's a short game, but it backfired. So, I'll probably play both my original March game and Hero's Hour in April. Then, I'll try to clear a mess of several started games and will slowly start finishing them.

2023.04.02 11:42 excellentpricestore Advice on working on yourself after relationship with pwBPD + is there a possibility of being friends?

New here! Just found this thread.
I've (29m) just ended a relationship with someone with BPD two weeks ago, we dated for five months and I was/am still so in love. It obviously started off so well and I was incredibly invested in making it work. During the relationship she was pretty upfront about her past trauma and that she has BPD and we'd be open to work on dealing with issues/boundaries together. However after about 3 and a half months it all just started going consistently downhill where she'd pick fights, accuse me of being into other people, threaten self harm etc.
I hadn't been in any relationship like this before, and it has truly destroyed me. Finally admitting how much it was affecting me (letting my boundaries slip, justifying abusive behaviour due to her trauma, dropping everything to help etc) we broke up.
We're going no contact for at least three months and I've said we will not get back together. But having a lot of shared community, friends and interests we've agreed to try and be friends if possible (it might take more no contact). I actually don't hold any of the actions against her - she's suffered a lot, is the strongest person I know, and truly trying to work on herself - I truly don't think that's just wishful thinking.
I've sought therapy, friends I had been neglecting and have taken up running again as exercise but still feeling a big loss and pretty helpless. I've just discovered this sub and am really grateful - what's helped you?
I guess I'm looking for help in getting through this, and understanding what might attracts me to this type of person so I can recognise the signs early and not get into the same scenario romantically (Codependency, overly empathetic etc). As well as this, if anyone has had good experiences with transferring to a friendship I'd love to hear about it!
TLDR - Advice on working on yourself after relationship with pwBPD + is there a possibility of being friends?

2023.04.02 11:42 AceThePsychic AITA for telling my Dad I'm never trusting him with my stuff ever again?

I got really into running after lockdowns were eased. It helped me lose the weight I put on during the pandemic and it was also beneficial to my mental health. After a year of casual running, I decided I'd finally join a formal race around January. I was lucky enough to find one in a town near mine scheduled for late April, just enough time for me to train for the 10k event I wanted to join. Unfortunately, my shoes were really worn so I was looking for a way to get some money to buy new ones (I'm going to University currently so I don't have a lot extra). I decided I'd sell my shoes, I had a few decent pairs of Jordans from when I still played basketball. My dad told me one day that he had a friend who'd love to buy them for his son, so we talked and agreed on a price and I gave the shoes to my dad so he could make the transaction. He told me at first that the guy couldn't pay the whole price up front, and I was cool with that since I only really needed the shoes for race day. Well, up till now, my dad still hasn't given me a dime. Anytime I ask him about it, he says the guy still hasn't paid. So I went to the guy personally and asked him, and he told me he had already paid in full a week after being given the shoes. I was upset, but at first I thought maybe they used the money for something important (My family isn't exactly rich lol, but we're not struggling either) But just a few days ago I overheard my dad telling my mom how he had gambled the money he got from selling my shoes. I went ballistic lol, I confronted him the day after in front of my whole family and called him a liar and told him I'd never trust him with anything of my possession ever again. Now both my mom and dad are mad at me because they think my outburst was unreasonable and insensitive, I had to leave the house and stay with a friend these past few days because I'm just so fed up with them. I'm just so mad because I was so excited for the race (which is less than 2 weeks away lol) but now it seems like I won't be able to join since the shoes I use are basically falling apart at the seams now and I already spent a good sum just registering for the race.

2023.04.02 11:41 kirstenalthena Do they hang around after the show?

I’m seeing Big Thief on their UK leg in a couple of weeks and I just wanted to ask if they hang out in the venue after the show to take photos w fans or sign some merch? They’re my favorite band and I just want to know my chances and if it’s worth the effort to bring records to a gig 😅
