I have ruined my life. Utterly. I am at a point where I feel that I cannot go forward without causing severe pain to somebody, most likely my spouse. I’m not looking for sympathy but I need to get this off my chest.
I’m a survivor of CSA. I’ve been living with the trauma for years. I also grew up in an abusive home, with a parent who spent money like it was water and was permanently in debt. I swore I wouldn’t be the same. I didn’t even have an overdraft on my current account for the longest time.
Well guess what, I am the same. And I hate myself for it. When my mental health started tanking I stopped paying attention to what I was buying. I became addicted to mobile games and spent lots of money on those - i managed to stop that, but then it started spreading to other things - Christmases, birthdays - not having the money I needed to buy gifts for everyone and putting it on credit. Buying people gifts made me feel better about myself when I was struggling, it made me feel like I had value. Well you can see where this is going, can’t you?
Now I’m 12K down. My spouse only knows about 5K. I’m so fucked. It’s keeping me awake at night. How to pay it back, how to pay it back. I work full time, but I’m salaried. No opportunity for overtime. I’ve applied to work for an evening job, but I’m already feeling burnt out from my day job. I had a mental breakdown a while back. Was hospitalised after an attempt to end my own life. Nobody in my life knows about this, and I know that I’ve left it too late to be honest with my spouse. My spouse wants us to move and I know that it’s likely going to come out when we apply to rent somewhere else.

It's a part vent and a part need of advice Life and Career actually.
So it's been a while since I made a GTE letter that took forever to respond. I'm not gonna complain because life sucks like that- but if anything its making me lose hope. I got the response tho but there's lots of things to improve on the GTE aka SOP letter. And honestly, I just need some help to fuking finish it because I'm just beginning to lose hope. That much.
Like- I wasted almost an ENTIRE year just to get there. My mind's beginning to just wonder to shadow thoughts. HOW many more do i have to waste before i get there- til I'm old and careerless? Is this what I really wanted? Did i make the right choice to path on that country? Should I have went to a school? I did almost NOTHING and my mental health too was getting in the way.
But on the other hand- I wanted to make this work. I just need someone here who knows about Early childhood courses and what's the difference of that in Australia and here in the philippines.

Full disclosure, my mental health has been incredibly dodgy as of late and this has resulted in missing doses of the oestrogen gel, Utrogestan 100mg tablets and continuous progesterone only pill (Cerelle 75 micrograms). The POP I have been on for years, the HRT components I started in September last year. Consultant says I'm likely perimenopausal, but because of the pill I've not had a period in years, so we don't really know how much is down to the pill and how much is down to menopause. I'm 40 next week.
Now when I started the HRT, I had very minor breakthrough bleeding which stopped within a few days. And I had absolutely no bleeding while I was taking everything regularly, on time.
Unfortunately my mental health issues resulted in me being late picking up the next load of Utrogestan tablets (the gel lasts longer) and there was about 3 weeks where I had none at all, just the gel and the Cerelle. The last few weeks have been bad enough that I've missed doses of HRT and the pill on several occasions.
And now I'm spotting daily. I assume this is because of my messing around with the dosage? And that the stop/start behaviour keeps hitting the metaphorical 'reset button'? I'm seeing the nurse practitioner tomorrow for a repeat prescription for the Cerelle, so I'm going to bring it up with her, but I just wondered if anyone else has had similar experiences when stopping and restarting/disordered dosing on HRT?

All my worst fears have been realized. I have had strep throat (confirmed by doctor) for 3 weeks and now I just tested positive for covid (rapid antigen). I spent the night at my partner's and now I'm terrified I got them sick too. They just got over covid a month ago. I would never forgive myself if I got them sick. I am staying in an air bnb rn because I've just lost my apartment and I'm supposed to catch a flight on friday to move back in with my family who lives an ocean away. I don't know how this is going to affect my flight and my mental health. I feel physically and mentally ill. I just don't know what to do.

This might seem all over the place, and if so I apologise in advance. I'll try explain as best I can.
Let me preface this by saying I (22F) have a major fear of rejection, being alone, and forgotten. I always try to be enough for other people and have them like me, and it pains me immensely when I am not. I don't know if this is why I get attached to people super quickly, but it's like I hyper-fixate on people and care too deeply for them too quickly. I also enjoy gaming with some of my free time because it's a distraction from mental health issues and gets me out of my shell a little, even if it's just online for a while while I'm not working.
I have not been single for longer than 1 year total since 2017. I've dated 4 guys since then, and had flings in-between. Whenever I am single for too long, I develop feelings for someone. I don't go out looking for relationships, so to say. I just really start liking someone and get super attached to them.
In the last year I have had this with 3 or 4 separate guys and I hate it. I can't tell when I really like someone anymore.
The most recent one was a guy I met last year briefly and it was fun to chat to him, etc. and we spent a lot of time together online because we're from different countries. I started liking him (I'll refer to him as B) and B liked me too, so we kind of slapped a loose label on it because he wanted to know what our relationship was, but nothing else really changed because our interactions online went on as usual (calls, texts, playing games together, etc).
In-between I have been playing games online with some other friends - I'll refer to them as Y and Z.
B and I played an open world game a lot together and eventually Y joined us in that. I really enjoy playing with Y because they're really chilled and just break the violence that's usually in the game. I like some chaos in-game but sometimes I enjoy just exploring the map and chilling. B, on the other hand, has gotten bored of the game and just wants to 'cause shit' all the time.
Anyway, I started playing a shooter game, and since I'm new to the game but B isn't, I asked Y if they'd like to join so that we could level up together. I soon started noticing that B had a negative attitude whenever Y would join us in a game. Y also noticed it but never said anything until recently. They ended up inviting their friend, Z, to join as well because he liked the game. Z is a high level in the game, but honestly one of the nicest about when I'm playing badly and doesn't get upset when things aren't going well in game, which takes a lot of pressure off of me when I play and allows me to actually enjoy it.
Y, Z and I get along super well, and Z and I even started to become friends without Y there, which I really enjoyed because I don't make friends very easily.
Then Y invited Z to play the open world game with us in a channel in my server, while B and I were in a private call, and B's entire attitude was snotty - "Oh great, another player."
I kind of just said, "Yes, and? I enjoy playing with them."
Then when I'm in a call with Y and Z, B stays quiet and doesn't communicate. Then when he leaves, he comes across as super passive aggressive, saying stuff like, "I'm going to log off. Call me if you want."
I've asked him about it before and he swears that he isn't jealous of Y and Z, but his behaviour is so strange. I don't think it's intentional, but his tone, etc. on call just makes me feel so attacked for something entirely innocent.
B said that Y and Z aren't his friends, they're mine, but I literally only met Z like 1 week ago and only actually spoke to them properly for the first time yesterday. B also said that he'd be more comfortable when we're playing with his friends, but he doesn't have any friends. He literally only spends time with me.
I'm just so frustrated. It makes me feel bad when he leaves the call in a super passive aggressive way because I've spent time with people other than him.
Over the course of all of this 'jealousy' stuff I've become bored of him, and I'm starting to think that maybe all this was, was another one of my hyper fixations that's wearing off again, and that makes me feel bad because nobody deserves to be fucked with like that.
TL:DR - I'm in a situationship that makes me feel guilty for playing games with other people because he seems jealous, but still swears he's not.

I have all kinds of mental and physical health problems. I have learning disabilities. I was homeschooled and got a poor education. I live in the mountains of Southern California and hate it. There is nothing here. My anxiety has gotten so bad I haven't left the house in over 10 years except to go to the hospital. I also suffer from gender dysphoria and I have no support from family. I have no friends. I'm an atheist now, have been for 8 years, and before that when I went to church I was bullied. At 18 I had to have heart surgery for a defect that went unnoticed. No one in the family would talk or interact with me. I went to the hospital believing I was gonna die and that's why no one talked to me. When I got back home, family that ignored me continued to ignore and family who bullied me, bullied me worse. Saying I was weak and pathetic because of my heart problem.

I (32F) am at my wit’s end and I don’t know what to do.
First, a bit of background on my mother. My mother was diagnosed with major mental health issues including anxiety and OCD last year. She is in therapy since then, some days are good, some days are bad.
Whenever she feels backed into a corner about anything, her defense tactic is to point out how the other person wronged her in the past, to make them stop talking about the matter at hand. She doesn’t take responsibility for anything even when she is clearly in the wrong.
With our dog, she is always worried about leaving it alone for hours at a time, and always insists someone be at home to watch her when my mother can’t be home. She has been a SAHM since I was born. The dog is old and deaf but doesn’t have any health issues in which someone needs to constantly be on watch. The therapist told her this is part of her anxiety but she simply cannot give it up completely.
She sometimes leaves the dog alone now but still comes back within 2hrs and later texts the family group chat how much of her time with friends she had to sacrifice in order to make sure the dog is ok. Nothing has ever happened to the dog.
So on to the incident. She admitted to me just now that a few weeks ago, she gave the dog twice the amount of medication than was prescribed because she suddenly needed to run an errand when my father was not around and didn’t want the dog to bark unnecessarily while she was gone because the neighbor complained once or twice about it in the past. She did this without consulting the vet, and when I pointed out how badly it could have turned out, all she did was start telling me how I didn’t do the laundry on her timeline when I was home last time even though she asked me too. (Which was a month ago)
She completely avoided the point I was trying to make, and tried to shut down the conversation with “Fine if you think I am such a bad person I will go drown myself, you don’t care about me anyway.” She did not sound one bit remorseful about what she did.
I am terrified that she will continue to harm the dog by way of medication whenever she feels this anxiety. My Father is no help either as he claims he “doesn’t understand why people have mental health issues” and claims this is just how my mother is and I should do as she says.
They are not in the US and in the country the laws as far as pets go, they are just “property” and the worst crime would only be “property damage”.
I cannot take the dog because I moved abroad for work recently.
Any advice would be welcome.

So, tomorrow is my phone assessment for my pip review. I am absolutely stressed out beyond belief. I’ve been down this road before. First application 2016 rejected , won at tribunal , second application 2018 rejected one at tribunal. However, this is my first review, before I had to reapply but I’m sure that makes no difference to them. My conditions are , anxious avoidant personality disorder , depression, panic disorder and a hip impingement.
Before , I’d have my assessments and get told because I didn’t need prompting to answer my questions I don’t need prompting in all other areas , then I’d go to the tribunal and win my award. To me it felt like they were finding any excuse to just reject me. My answers were not taking seriously because of how I presented at the assessment.
The difference this time is now I have a new diagnosis of a personality disorder, before I didn’t have that diagnosis. However, as I have children that always goes against me , which infuriates me as it make me feel like they assume you can’t take care of your kids if you have serious mental health conditions. I have made adaptions to my life in order to take care of my kids in accordance with my many limitations. It makes me angry that they can ignore all this. After every previous assessment I’ve had a relapse. The nature of my disorder is that I’m ultra sensitive to this kind of criticism , so it spirals me into a deep depression.
My questions, what happens if I break down during my assessment due to triggering subjects , and any general advise on how to handle a two hour call when I don’t cope with stress and interrogations . Thanks I’m advance. I live in England btw.

This post is for all women who are struggling with their self-esteem due to their partner's porn addiction. I know that this affects many in this subreddit and it can get so dangerous that it goes as far as surgery and eating disorders. I will tell you one thing for sure: it's not you! No matter how "perfect" you look, it doesn't change this addiction and on which women he looks at on the internet.
Without meaning that somehow arrogant, because I also have self-doubt without end (and I think beauty is never about one body type and sooo individual for everyone) but my body is not really different from the porn stars on the Internet. I'm a tall woman with 90-60-90 measurements, have worked out regularly all my life, am limber, get a perfect bikini model summer tan and have been looked at and approached by men all my life. In previous relationship I never had the feeling that other women are only interesting at all.
And yet... I was walking around city with my PA boyfriend in hotpans and I still caught him looking at the asses of complete strangers while I was having a conversation with him. It didn't matter what this women looked like, I noticed it with ALL body types - the main thing was tight clothing. As soon as I was out of the house, he started to watch porn sites, porn games, Instagram , even chatted with people, even though we had sex every day(!) at that time - during which he also always had an orgasm and never struggled with erectile dysfunction. It almost felt like he was waiting for me to finally leave so he could watch porn WHILE he (referring to the body) had the "porn star" in real in his bed before...It got to the point where he fell asleep while pleasuring me. All of this completely broke my heart.
What I have to say to all you beautiful women in this thread: no matter if you feel that you have too little bust size compared to porn stars, too much weight, or you think you can't perform 'well enough' in bed. NONE of that is it. You could absolutely fit that image and still the addiction is so deep in his brain that you don't stand a chance.

At the end of the day YOU are perfect just the way you are. And he is the one with the problem. All those women will never give him fulfillment or make him happy for more than a few seconds at a clip. All those "perfect" women will never be enough for him either. When faced with all these doubts and lies, try to think of yourself. I almost lost the body I was happy with because I was vomiting daily from all the lies I found out... I had no appetite for days, not going to the gym because I was just lying in bed crying with the blinds drawn, I look paler and 10 years older from all the sleepless nights and pain. Whether you leave this relationship or keep fighting for it, don't make the same mistake I did and think about yourself too and do something for your self-esteem and mental health every day. Either way, it's the only way to heal.

ME (m26) and my wife (F26)have been married for 3 years and together for 7 years. For some context. We got together nor long after of high school. long story short we where fooling around and keeping things casual when she got pregnant With our first child. We committed to each other and grew to love each other. We decided to having a second child two years later. To one ones surprise we had twin boys. This is when we started to go though a real rough patch. In between long sleepless nights and me working very long days. things changed. This ended up in my wife being unfaithful and having a short lived affair with one my our mutual friends. This cause us to have a bit of brake (if u can call it that we still lived together for the kids) Even tho this was tough we got through it and decided to rekindle our commitment to each other and get married. Somehow we though this grand expression of love would fix our problems. Things for me have changed since the affair I love her but not like I use to. I feel as tho i love her like I would a family member not so much as a partner I no longer have a deep attraction to her. I have tried to speak to her about this but it always ends the same way in a suicide attempt or a hospital admission. (She has a long and complicated history with her mental health and trauma I don’t blame her for this at all) I feel as tho pretending everyday is slowly killing me and I have notice it is affecting my mental health and the relationship I have with my children but leaving means possibly breaking her completely and changing everything my kids have ever known. Do I continue for a few more years pretending and hope things get better or do I leave.
