2023.03.21 19:06 AmbitiousBikeRace My partner's relative lives with us and its driving me insane
Ill be using non-specific pronouns to keep this as anonymous as possible.
My partner and I are both young adults (M/F,28) and have been together for around 2 years.
For the first year, we would alternate between our two residences, but i've since moved in with them to cut significant costs on rent, commuting, etc. Living together is great and we get along well, but they have an elderly relative that lives with us too and im slowly getting more and more frustrated.
To start off, my partner and I pay the mortgage/property taxes, 2/3 of utilities, and wifi. The relative pays for most if not all of the tv provider (we dont watch it ourselves), 1/3 of utilities, and pays for the majority of the usual groceries, but I buy a lot of my own things due to different tolerances. My partner seems to think the relative pays for a lot of the expenses and is really the main reason the relative is still living here. I personally dont think so, because I know service and utility costs would be a lot less with them here (constantly leaves lights on, high water usage, tv is on 24/7, etc)
They are also in the position where they would like it to be just us in the house, but again, a lot of it comes down to expenses. We are planning on moving just the two of us to a different county as soon as we can, but a lot of my finances are currently tied up in paying off student debt and I wouldn't have enough for a down payment for another year or so.
I feel a lot of frustration towards the relative because I feel like I dont have any privacy, I cannot go into the kitchen to make myself anything without them coming and "coincidentally" needing to be in there too which leads to them hovering over me, or im struck with them constantly complaining about things no one has any control over and it is mentally and emotionally draining. The relative also treats my partner like a child, and will try to persuade me to be controlling towards them in the way a parent would, which I find is horribly disrespectful to our relationship. There is also a massive lack in communication, as im often expected by the relative to do certain tasks I dont mind doing, but they dont ask if I will do it that day (cooking, cleaning, yard work) and will just leave things out so I can deal with it. I cannot stress how annoying it is having all of the ingredients for dinner thawed and set out for the entire day with the expectation that its what im cooking, or even feel like having. The relative also gets extremely frustrated if I dont eat something they've made, which 9/10 times is because its something I cannot have without getting sick.
My partner knows I am frustrated and tells me to tell the relative off, but I feel like my frustrations would get the better of me in that situation and make things messy. Every time I bring this up, Im always told to make an appointment with the bank so we can move, knowing very well I dont have enough to even have a conversation about it. Or maybe I should get my own place. My partner also gets frustrated and stressed by the constant neediness from the relative, and having to be the bridge of communication between them and me because they cant be bothered to message me directly despite being fully capable of it.
Has anyone had any similar situations where they have had to live with a relative or roommate they didnt particularly like? I have no idea how long my mental/emotional state can hold up before I snap. I feel like the entire situation is taking away from mine and my partners intimacy because we're not truly on our own and the quality of our relationship is declining.
TL;DR Partner's relative lives with us and is putting a toll on my mental and emotional health

2023.03.21 19:05 Outloudliving Should I choose a job I'm passionate about that pays a low salary or take a higher paying job that I may not like?
Right now, I have a job where I make 62k. My boss is great, time off is flexible and it's a pretty prestigious company. However, I'm not all that happy here because there are some toxic elements to the culture and overall, I'm not doing what I'm most passionate about. At my current job, I spend majority of my day on a computer but I am a major people person and struggle with focusing because of my adhd. With all that being said, I am planning to leave my current role. I have two potential job paths for next steps.
- Option 1: A job working with kids ( which is in line with my greatest passion)
- I have to start out in a coordinator level role and the pay is low at 38k. The role I am most likely going to get is seasonal so by next fall, they said I could be in a director level role once it opens up. The coordinator role is to get me in the door.
- This role is in my hometown so while I feel extra passionate about serving that community, I also feel slightly embarrassed for people to see me working a lower status role there, especially considering that my current role is as a manager at a prestigious company.
- I know some of the people who would be my coworkers because they also grew up in that town.
- Option 2: A job working in my current field for a new company
- This would be technically a lateral move but at an even larger company. The pay is higher at 72k minimum.
- I like the work I'd be doing, it's pretty interesting stuff but it's not my top top passion.
- This role is fully remote but it has on-site events that take place every 3 months or so. I know I will like the onsite because the company pays for travel and I like the work I would be doing on-site but majority of my days leading up to on-site work will be on a computer. As I mentioned, I am not a fan of computer work- I start to get depressed when doing it too long. However, I'm wondering if it won't be as bad if I go to a coworking space and have the on-site events to look forward to.
I am someone who overall values happiness and community so I think I would like the role with kids more. I also have always gotten childcare and teacher type results on all career tests I take. I'm not someone who normally cares about status but I'm finding myself in a pickle. I know I will like the lower paying job with kids and the day to day work that comes with it since there is minimal computer work, however the low pay and perception from my peers/community makes me nervous. There is a chance I may like the higher paying job but I am not as confident about liking that one as remote work would be completely new for me.
Thoughts?
If it helps, I am 24 and have a long term partner I live with. No kids or house.

2023.03.21 19:04 Random-User-42 46 [M4F] PNW looking to make a connection that leads to depth.
Hello, I'm just a random guy, from PNW part of the west coast. While I own a popular outdoor wagon, it's clean and could use more dirt from road trips around Oregon/Washington. It's you who wants to help get it dirty and maybe go touch some outdoor things.
I'm an avid photographers, a foodie who can back up their snobbery, enjoyer of weed and the occasional cocktail. I can't say I'm much of a gamer, though I do dabble in a few games. I can't say I'm into much anime, but I have seen all the Ghost in the Shell movies and shows, so there's that. I'm not looking for Player 2. I'm looking for something more than just appeasing my own interests.
I've been known to DJ Drum and Bass in Seattle on a regular basis. Into all forms of Metal, Indie, Rap. Currently into Icelandic rap music. I'm fuckin cultured.
I have an adult job, work mostly normal hours in a research/pathogen lab. Im not well traveled internationally, but I know my around Queens NY. I'm full of dark humor, snazzy clap backs, slight Gen X cynical chip on my shoulder, but I swear it makes me funny. I'm trying to learn German, so if you speak or are also learning, let's connect.
No harmful past baggage, just the usual shit from living life. I'm tall for my age, thin framed, but working on those gains. Maybe you are an avid baker and need someone to taste test. A polite way of saying, help with those gains.
What I'm looking for is someone whose into the idea of holding hands at a show, making dumb jokes over charcuterie, into being outside as much as blending into the sofa. Active, but not a gym rat. Maybe you already rock climb or are getting into it, because I am too! Im in a place where the space I have to offer includes emotional availability. I hope you offer the same in return. I'm not looking for someone with the exact same interests as me. Diversity adds to depth.
Please be addressing your traumas, into direct communication of your needs and can express boundaries.
I'm hoping for local-ish, but also very open to a LDR, preferably in the USA for ease of travel. Please be open to exchanging photos sooner than later. Attraction goes both ways and I don't want to waste either of our time.
Send me more than a hi. Shoot your shot. I'm pretty cool, so my friends say. Chat works best for me.

2023.03.21 19:00 calendarweek01 Think about getting 2 cards at the same time. Any downside?
Hi everyone! I'm thinking about getting the Amex Green (I currently have the Gold) and the CFU at the same time as I'll be traveling a lot very soon. I'm 1/24 right now and don't plan on buying a house / care / any big purchases that would require my credit to be perfect right now. My FICO credit score at the moment is 750+. Is there any downside / risk to doing this?
Thanks in advance!

2023.03.21 18:52 nostone3241 The connection between Freemasonry, Indian residential schools, the Indian wars, the Indian removal act, the Indian act and the Indians-as-Israelites theory.
My name is Thomas Saul, I am a member of the
Skatin Nations tribe in British Columbia, Canada. I am of
Salish, and European descent. I began this project around May 2021 when news broke about the
Kamloops residential school where the remains of 215 children were allegedly found. As a teenager I briefly Attended Norkam secondary in Kamloops, and have friends and family who still live in Kamloops, so this hit close to home. Upon my research into The origin of this residential school I found that
Israel wood Powell, a Freemason, was the Indian Superintendent at the time it was built. Four generations of my family attended residential schools, some in
Port Alberni and some
Mission City, so naturally I wanted to know more. I have come to the conclusion that Colonisation,
Freemasonry, and residential schools go hand in hand. Its a Fact, both the United States and Canada would not exist without Freemasonry, Therefore many Freemasons played a leading role in the genocide of Indigenous Americans. “Freemasonry, as it exists in various forms all over the world, has a membership estimated at around 6 million worldwide.”
Genocide: The UN definition, which is used in international law, states that genocide is: "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group," as such:(a) "Killing members of the group;"(b) "Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;"(c) "Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;"(d) "Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;"(e) "Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."
The supreme governor of the Church of England is the head of the Church of England, a position which is vested in the British monarch. The father of the
Royal Proclamation of 1763 King George III was not a Freemason, George III had announced that the colonies would
no longer seize Native lands or purchase them without treaties. Starting in 1763, no English settlers could legally travel through or acquire land west of the Appalachian Mountains. The proclamation specifically stated that Native Americans had been subject to “great Frauds and Abuses” and that their sovereignty should be protected. Freemason Thomas Jefferson in his list of 27 grievances accused the king saying “He has excited domestic Insurrections among us, and has endeavoured to bring on the Inhabitants of our Frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known Rule of Warfare, is an undistinguished Destruction, of all Ages, Sexes, and Conditions.’’ Thomas Jefferson did this to build support for the revolutionary act that the Declaration of Independence would represent. It was suspected that the Freemasons were behind the
Boston Tea Party, the
American War of Independence, the french
revolution, and
Napoleonic France triggering British prime minister William Pitt’s
, the Unlawful Societies Act of 1799 where he aimed to see Freemasonry abolished. Some Freemasons addressed Pitt explaining how vast their membership is and its connection to Royalty and As a result, Freemasons were excluded from the Act, but lodges were obliged to return a list of members to the local Clerk of the Peace every year, which are recorded in the Quarter Sessions.1. King George IV reigned from the death of George III until 1830, he was the first of many British Freemason kings and was the head of the Anglican church.
William IV,
Edward VII,
Edward VIII,
George VI were also masons. In the 209 years since the Union of the Premier and Ancient Grand Lodges to form the United Grand Lodge of England, a member of the Royal Family has been its Grand Master for more than 150.
A Freemason warrant of constitution is the Document which authorizes or gives a Warrant to certain persons therein named to organize and constitute a Lodge, Chapter, or other Masonic Body. The first Warrant for a military Lodge was issued by the Grand Lodge of Ireland in 1732 to the First British Foot Regiment. Within a few years the Grand Lodge of Scotland and both the Grand Lodge of England, Modern and Ancient were issuing Warrants to military Lodges. In 1733, 18 men gathered at the Bunch of Grapes Tavern on King Street in Boston and organized the first Masonic Lodge in North America. The first record of a military Lodge Warrant being issued in the new world happened during the French and Indian Wars. It was issued by the then Provincial Grand Master at Boston to the 28th British Foot in an expedition against the French at Crown Point. Edward Cornwallis became founder in December 1748, of a military Lodge in his regiment, the 20th. Foot, No. 63, on the registry of the Grand Lodge of Ireland. The warrant was issued to Lord George Sackville, Lieut. Col. The Hon. Edward Cornwallis and Captain Milburne. When in 1759 this famous regiment gained new honors at the battle of Minden, that name was immediately adopted as the name of the lodge. Cornwallis’ second lodge was founded in Halifax early in 1750 or possibly earlier, under a “deputation” or dispensation from Major Erasmus James Philipps of the 40th. Regiment at Annapolis Royal, Provincial Grand Master for Nova Scotia under Henry Price of Boston. Of this lodge, known as the First Lodge, Cornwallis was the first Master. Cornwallis In October 1749, issued an order that came to be known as the Scalping Proclamation. His government would pay a bounty to anyone who killed a Mi’kmaq adult or child in a bid to drive them off mainland Nova Scotia.
Sir William Johnson, an agent for the British Indian Department met
Joseph Brant, a 9-year-old Mohawk boy while doing a land deal with Joseph's father King Hendrick. Sir William eventually started a common-law relationship with Joseph's sister
Molly giving him incredible power over her tribe. Johnson groomed young Joseph Brant to become a loyal warrior and eventually leader of
the six nations tribe. At 13 years old Joseph accompanied Johnson on his first tour with the military. Missionary
Samuel Occham, a student of
Eleazar Wheelock (father of
The Great Awakening) procured a 19-year-old Joseph Brant to attend
Moore's Indian charity school in Lebanon Connecticut with the blessings and charity of William Johnson. Freemasons Benjamin Franklin and Benedict Arnold had also donated money to Wheelock’s cause. William was the British Crown's first superintendent of Indian Affairs for the colony in 1756 and Joseph Brant was appointed as a captain in the Indian Department. Many Freemason colonists were high-ranking military who waged many wars on the Indigenous American population, scientists say so many Indigenous people were killed as a result of colonization it caused a
mini ice age. After the North American wars, many Freemasons took positions as Indian agents helping to remove and segregate the native population. Anyone who wanted access to the six nations had to go through Indian agent Sir William Johnson and his family which includes the Brant family and the Kerr family through various marriages.
At one point Johnson proposed that the moor's Indian Charity School move from Lebanon, Connecticut, to Johnstown but it never happened. Eventually, Johnson withdrew the support for Wheelock. In a letter Wheelock had suggested to Lord Dartmouth "The Nations will not make war with us while their Children, and especially the Children of their chiefs are with us”
Dartmouth college claims that In 1766, Johnson was invited to join the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts (SPG), the largest and most influential Anglican missionary society in the 18th-century British-Atlantic world. He began working to place Anglican missionaries like Freemason and
bishop Charles Inglis, rather than Congregationalist and Presbyterian ones, among the Six Nations. I believe Moore's dubbed “the great design” was the original model for the Mohawk Institute and the Canadian residential school system.
On April 10, 1766
Sir William Johnson was raised to the position of Master Mason of St Patrick's Lodge No. 4 where many Freemason Indian agents like
John Butler,
Guy Johnson,
Sir John Johnson,
William Johnson Kerr,
Christian Daniel Claus, Gilbert Tice, George Croghan and A protégé of Reverend
Eleazar Wheelock,
Rev. Samuel Kirkland attended. In 1770 Johnson's fellow St Patrick's lodge Freemason Rev. Samuel Kirkland coincidentally parted ways with Wheelock and Moors charity school. Eventually Kirkland founded the
Hamilton-Oneida Academy as a boys' school in central New York. In 1776 Joseph Brant was initiated into the Freemason fraternity in London England where it is rumoured a benefactor of Moors charity school
king George III gave Brant his masonic apron. When Brant returned to Canada he became affiliated with Lodge No. 11 at the Mohawk village on the Grand River, of which he was the first
Worshipful Master, and later affiliated with Barton Lodge No. 10. Joseph Brant invited fellow Freemason and grandson of Eleazar Wheelock to be a minister to the Mohawk. To Joseph It was imperative that Freemason
Rev. Davenport Phelps was made minister of the Mohawks, so
he reminded the Bishop, through Sir John, of the pledge which the Archbishop of Canterbury had made to him in the presence of the King, that whenever the Indians, by the erection of a church, should be ready for religious instruction, he would do all in his power to supply their wants. A Freemason named
Rev. Robert Addison helped make this happen. Mr Addison, a relative of William Johnson, had been minister to the Six Nations and Joseph Brant and Freemason
John Norton were his translators. Freemason Reverend Davenport Phelps and Jarvis Wheelock, the brother of Eleazar, were invited to Canada and granted land by Freemason and founder of the family compact
John Graves Simcoe, the man behind the
Simcoe patent. Mrs Simcoe in her Diary says, “In April of the following year
Mary Brant (sister of Freemason Joseph Brant and common-law wife of Freemason Indian agent Sir William Johnson) successfully prescribed a favourite Indian remedy, the root of sweet flag (acorus calamus), for Governor Simcoe, who had been extremely ill with a persistent cough. The medicine relieved his malady “in a very short time. This brought the Brant family and Simcoe family close together. Davenport Phelps became the Worshipful Master of The Barton Lodge under Freemason
William Jarvis and he was the first chaplain at the Mohawk Chapel. Davenport was the leader of many Indian agents who were members of The Barton Lodge. I suspect Davenport's mission was to help with the so-called Indian problem.
Chief Joseph Brant has been accused on many occasions of selling off land for his own enrichment and in a lot of cases he sold land to Freemasons. He granted 999-year leases to many families, the Nelles, the Young’s, the families of Adam Young UE, his three sons, Lieutenant John Young (Indian department) UE, Sergeant Daniel Young UE, and Private Henry Young UE, along with Captain Henry William Nelles UE and his families (Rev. Abraham Nelles). Many of these Indian agents were members of The Barton Lodge. Both Captain Henry William Nelles UE and Adam Young UE, fourth great-grandfather of Robert Collins McBride UE, were also the first Freemasons to settle in Haldimand County. Freemasons
Robert Kerr and Rev. Robert Addison, William Kennedy Smith, also had land there. "There were very few outright legal sales of our land; 90 per cent of the leased land has never been paid for or paid to Six Nations," according to a
research document prepared by Six Nations. Many Freemasons were involved with the Simcoe patent and the
Haldimand Proclamation. Lieutenant Governor
John Graves Simcoe stated that the Indians could not lease their land since British subjects could lease land only from British subjects. Freemason
William Jarvis signed the Haldimand proclamation,
Freemason Thomas Ridout surveyor-general was behind the Ridout survey, Freemason
Sir Peregrine Maitland lieutenant governor informed them that they had no title to the northern part of the grant, Freemason John Butler acted as an agent of purchase on behalf of the government, F
reemason chief John Brant) and
Freemason Robert Johnson Kerr finally went to England to lobby on behalf of the Six Nations.
Freemasons King George IV, and King William IV, reigned from January 29 1820 to June 20 1837. The idea of residential school was brought forward by the Freemason Governor of Upper Canada, Sir Peregrine Maitland, within the context of a proposal he made in 1820 to the Colonial Office "for ameliorating the condition of the Indians in the neighbourhood of our settlements." Maitland's proposal contained most of the civilising concepts and techniques that would be adopted in the next three decades. The American Freemason, President Andrew Jackson succeeded in pushing the
Indian Removal Act through the United States Congress in 1828 leading to the trail of tears. John Brant solicited help from the New England company to build the Mohawk institute, the first residential school in Canada. The mohawk institute operated from 1831 to June 27, 1970. John Brant appointed Rev. Abraham Nelles son of Freemason Robert Nelles as principal of the Mohawk Institute. Abraham after over 30 years was succeeded by Freemason Robert Ashton
. Oronhyatekha aka Peter Martin was also a Freemason and played an important role in the development of the Mohawk Institute. The Arthur of the
Historical sketch of the Barton Lodge, No. 6, G.R.C., A.F. and A.M., says “the name of Brother John Brant is connected with important events in the history of Canadian Masonry.” John Brant is responsible for the formation of at
least 12 residential schools in Ontario, while Freemason Israel Powell the superintendent of Indian affairs in British Columbia Powell
“was able to boast that the government had established seventeen Indian schools, one for each year in office.”. Powell sought to establish several boarding schools across the province and particularly pushed for creating a school in Kamloops to address communities in the province’s interior. The school opened in Kamloops in 1890 and became one of the largest residential schools operated by Indian Affairs. The Freemason Organisation is
vicariously liable for all abuses in those residential schools.
In 1837 a Rebellion in Upper Canada was led by William Lyon Mackenzie, who was a fierce critic of Simcoe’s
Family Compact, an elite clique of businessmen and many Freemasons. Mackenzie opposed a system of land grants that favored settlers from Britain. Many Freemasons such as William Botsford Jarvis and
Sir Allen Napier Macnab who was Joint premier of the Province of Canada helped stop this rebellion. Sir Allen Macnab was succeeded by Freemason
Sir John A. Macdonald as Joint Premier. This Rebellion of 1837, this triggered the 6th generation Freemason Lord Durham to write
The Durham Report, he was appointed governor in chief of British North America. In his 1839 Report on the Affairs of British North America, he recommended that Upper and Lower Canada be united under a single Parliament, with responsible government. In 1863 a steamboat named
the Brother Johnathan) carried
smallpox from San Francisco to British Columbia killing 1/3rd of the Native population. Many Freemasons like
Thomas Harris the first mayor of Victoria,
Israel Wood Powell who served in the Victoria Rifle Volunteer Corps which was established to protect the colony from the indigenous population,
Amor De Cosmos who was the extremely racist editor of
The Daily British Colonist, and Ronald J. NcDonell clerk for
magistrate Pemberton who forced The Nuu-chah-nulth to leave their camp, escorted by two gunboats. There are many many more who may have purposefully mishandled the smallpox epidemic of 1863. British freemason
Edward Jenner created the life-saving smallpox vaccine but on the other hand Freemasons Jeffrey Amherst and Col Henry Bouquet have been accused of distributing
smallpox contaminated blankets to their enemies.
As early as 1866 Israel W. Powell, with his colleague Amor De Cosmos, had proposed confederation with the Canadian colonies.
Israel Wood Powell, Superintendent of Indian affairs also outlawed potlatching an indigenous ceremony In British Columbia. Following the Lord Durham’s report, Freemason Henry Howard Molyneux Herbert, 4th Earl of Carnarvon proposed
The British North America Act, 1867 Under section 91(24) of the Constitution Act, 1867, the federal government has exclusive legislative authority for "Indians, and Lands reserved for the Indians." Of the 36 Fathers of the Canadian confederation, 11 were Freemasons. One being Freemason Sir John A. Macdonald,
He was named by the United Grand Lodge of England as their Grand Representative near to the Grand Lodge of Canada. Sir John A. Macdonald took a page from American Freemason
Andrew Jackson's book by removing the Indigenous people from their land. He was proud that he was able to subdue the Indigenous people with less blood shed than his American brethren. One Of Macdonald's Legacies is the
Canadian Pacific Railway which displaced many tribes across Canada. Sir John A. Macdonald's campaign promise in the 1870s was that he would have a railway built that would link the country from coast to coast. Freemasons
Richard Marpole,
Sir Sandford Fleming,
Sir George J.A. Bury And the Chinese Freemasons of Vancouver and Alberta made Macdonald’s promise come true. As quickly as the railroad was laid Freemason lodges were erected.
Louis Riel a Métis hero, led two resistance movements against the Government of Canada and its Freemason Prime Minister, John A. Macdonald. Riel sought to defend Métis rights and identity. The Wolseley expedition was a military force authorized by Sir John A. Macdonald to confront Louis Riel and had been dispatched to Red River under Freemason
Colonel Garnet Joseph Wolseley. Another of Mcdonald's legacies is the
North West Mounted Police. Macdonald established the N.W.M.P in 1873 which boasted 750 Freemason members in its time. He claimed that “it was intended to have a body of mounted rifles to protect the people from the chance of an Indian war.’’ Meanwhile, The Pacific Scandal, the first major post-
Confederation political scandal in Canada,
Sir John Macdonald and senior members of his Conservative Cabinet were accused of accepting election funds for the contract to build the C.P rail.
The near completion of the railway allowed troops from eastern Canada to quickly arrive in the territory causing Riel to surrender to Canadian forces. The NWMP barracks was where Louis Riel was detained after his arrest in 1885 for leading the North-West Rebellion. Many Freemasons were involved in the defeat of Louis Riel. The RCMP museum had a display of the noose which hung Riel. Macdonald said this about Riel "He shall die though every dog in Quebec barks in his favor." John A. Macdonald is also one of the fathers of the Canadian
Indian act First passed in 1876. In 1879 Freemason Nicholas Flood Davin wrote the Report on Industrial Schools for Indians and Half-Breeds, otherwise known as The Davin Report. An amendment to the Indian Act in 1894 under Freemason Prime Minister Sir
Mackenzie Bowell, made attendance at
day schools,
industrial schools, or residential schools compulsory for First Nations children, resulting in over 100000 Indigenous children being forcefully removed from their families by Indian agents and the RCMP. From 1740 to 1896 The Mexican government's response to the various uprisings of the
Yaqui tribe have been likened to
genocide particularly under Freemason
Porfirio Diaz. Due to slavery and massacre, the population of the
Yaqui tribe in
Mexico was reduced from 30,000 to 7,000 under Diaz's rule. One source estimates at least 20,000 out of these Yaquis were victims of state murders in
Sonora. It was during this period of the conflict that the United States Army fought the last
battle of the
American Indian Wars, the final battle being the Wounded Knee Massacre December 29, 1890, and in the subsequent Drexel Mission Fight the next day. In recent history the statues of Freemason John A. Macdonald, Freemason Edward Cornwallis, Freemason George Washington, Freemason Lawrence Sullivan Ross, Freemason Robert E. Lee and Andrew Jackson have all been vandalized but no mention of their affiliation to the Freemasons in the news. We can't point fingers at the church or government without first confirming whether or not the accused are Freemasons.
The Order of the Eastern Star,
Job's Daughters, and
Rainbow Girls are masonic fraternities for women such as the daughter, widow, wife, sister, or mother of a Master Mason. All masons will cry out that Freemasonry has nothing to do with what an individual member has done, yet they all praise these men and prop them up as heroes. Freemasons claim to have superior morality compared to the average person, that they are the most honorable men on the planet, yet they refuse to acknowledge their members role in the genocide of the Indigenous Americans.
You may believe Freemasons are irrelevant nowadays but that is far from true. Winston Churchill is regarded as one of the greatest wartime leaders of the 20th century. Churchill was initiated into Studholme Lodge No. 1591 on 24 May 1901. He said of the Pashtun people “all who resist will be killed without quarter,” Pashtun territory was occupied by the British in 1848 and divided into two areas. Winston Churchill's policies caused a famine that claimed more than 3 million Indian lives during the The Bengal famine of 1943. President Harry Truman, known as one of the most dedicated men to have joined Masonry on the morning of August 6, 1945, ordered an American B-29 bomber to drop two atomic bombs over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The two bombings killed between 129,000 and 226,000 people, most of whom were civilians. John Edgar Hoover, more commonly referred to as J. Edgar Hoover, was an American attorney and director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Hoover was raised on November 9th 1920 in Federal Lodge No. 1 in Washington D.C. In 1919 Hoover became the head of the Bureau of Investigation's (predecessor of the FBI) new General Intelligence Division. The division was also called the Radical Division because it was the task of the division to find radical elements in American society to monitor and disrupt their activities. The Duke of Kent was initiated as a Freemason in Royal Alpha Lodge No. 16 in London on 16 December 1963.
The Duke of Kent, is now UGLE’s longest-serving Grand Master. The Duke’s brother, Prince Michael of Kent, is also a Freemason and is Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons, and Provincial Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Middlesex. On 6 March 1953, HRH Prince Philip progressed to the Second Degree of Freemasonry, before advancing to the Third Degree on 4 May 1953.
I encourage those who have been affected by the actions of Freemasons to begin a class action lawsuit against this organization in what ever country, state or province you live in and hold Freemasonry accountable for genocide. The first thing a Freemason will say when presented with this evidence is you don't know how masonry operates, that the lodge is not responsible for individual members actions. That is exactly what the Catholic church said before the Canadian Court of Appeal on July 28, 2020 had found the Archdiocese vicariously liable for abuses committed by a civilian employee. I witnessed countless people stand up against the Catholic Church for what they have done and the Pope came to Canada and apologized. Now it's time to turn your sight toward Freemasonry. You must understand that all Freemasons on the American contenent have greatly benefited from the genocide of Indigenous Americans.
“ Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's acceptance of an inquiry's finding that Canada committed genocide against Indigenous people could have tremendous legal impact if a court ever weighs Ottawa's responsibility for crimes against humanity, experts say.”
https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/trudeau-s-acknowledgment-of-indigenous-genocide-could-have-legal-impacts-experts-1.5457668 "I didn't use the word genocide because it didn't come to mind but I described genocide," Pope Francis told reporters on the papal flight from Iqaluit to Rome on Friday.

and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths, and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it.”

2023.03.21 18:51 KodiakDuck What should I focus on?
Hello, I'm fairly new to the game. I'm at a point where I will need to grind and upgrade and research a bunch to advance and I want to know where I should start.
Right now my priorities are getting my 5th lab slot open, unlocking super crits, and upgrading golden tower. Getting more card slots and upgrading cards would be the next steps for me here.
Currently in the workshop attack speed, crit chance, attack range, all the multi shot and rapid fire upgrades, bounce shot chance, and bounce shot targets are maxed. I plan on maxing crit factor next (only 40 levels away), then damage/meter. Is this the right course of action for attack upgrades?
For defense I have Def %, thorn, lifesteal, both knockback, both orb, both shockwave maxed. Landmines seem pretty meh, health regen and def absolute seem like garbage, so my next priority is maxing death defy then pumping up health. That seems pretty correct. please let me know if I'm wrong.
In utility, everything is maxed except the recover package stuff. I'm probably leaving that as is since the free upgrades take care of those three during a run.
I only have 2 ultimates, chain lightning and golden tower. I got shock for chain lightning and my focus has been trying to max out the duration for golden tower and then bonus. I'll pick up a 3rd later. I've seen a lot of conversation about death wave and black hole being good. I don't see it from the few times I got them from perks but then I read about the coin generation upgrades (and eventually unlocked them) they can get and I'm on board. The other ultimates I was thinking about are search light and chrono field. What's the priority list for those?
As far as research goes I have stuff spread out from when I started to test things out. lately I've been focusing on increasing the discounts, upgrading golden tower, getting QOL upgrades like game speed and lab speed, attack speed and damage are even(lvl 13 and researching to 14) with everything else lagging a bit (lvls 9 & 10), health, defense %, orb speed, cash bonus, cash/wave, coins/kill, coins/wave, interest. I'm reasearching perk ban and plan on researching the extra orb card upgrades in the future.
For cards, I'm using enemy balance, coins, cash, attack speed, health, berserker, crit coin, plasma cannon, death ray, and slow aura as my general farming loadout. After I get the 5th lab I'm picking up another slot to add in wave accelerator.
Let me know if I'm off on any of my thoughts/plans and what I can do to advance more efficiently and quickly.

2023.03.21 18:51 mobaisland I have two completely career paths and I cannot decide how can I do it?
Hi guys,
It will be a long question thanks to whom reads all of this and answers.
Im working as a frontend developer in a company right now, I am 24 years old and I am not experienced on my field. I cannot fit many jobs in this industry because lack of knowledge but the company I am working right now is using the technology that I am familiar with (old stuff). So I am working here with good conditions, I have my own desk, computer, I am working 9 to 6 on weekdays, my salary is above than the average monthly payment in my country and I get upgrades on my salary often. But the problem is, I am getting stressed on this job because sometimes I get hard tasks, and those tasks make me to work at home after work hours also on weekends, also I am sometimes stuck on the task because I am not very knowleded on this industry. I am still working with the knowledge I had 4 years ago. I don't improve myself. Also this job is not guaranteed which may end up anytime suddenly, I even sometimes couldn't get my salary on time because boss couldn't find enough money (financial issues and economic stuff) to pay us sometimes but he does the payment after all even tho its late.
But yet, its not guaranteed, I may get fired or the company may reduce salaries or even shut down. I cannot gurantee anyone that I will work here a full year... But the frontend industry itself is a good opportunity, if I improve myself I can get better jobs but I don't want to get stressed in this industry anymore because I know wheter I change this job to another, I will be stressed no matter what. And the other job will be hard. I want to be stress-free when I arrive at home. I don't want to think stuff on job before bed.
So I have another job opportunity at the moment. The job is so much different than the current one, which is gardening in a public park, the salary is less than the salary I am getting at the moment around 25-30%. Also its not a office job, I will be tired everyday from cutting grass, sweeping floor etc. The working hours is 9 to 5 on weekdays and same as current one no work on weekends. I will be tired at work but I will be calm and stress-free when I arrive at home because I won't have to do anything after work, or I will not have to work after job. Thats the huge reason I want to switch because I want my head to be calm. Also this job is kinda guaranteed because its almost linked to government so its hard to get fired or government cannot be shut down, so Its almost guaranteed that I will get my salary on time and there wont be times that I struggle to get my salary.I will be able to get House loan or get any loans from banks because I will be guaranteed to work many years so I can trust myself to take money because I know I will get my salary on time to pay back.
Here I made a list on pros/cons for me on both jobs.
my current job as f.e. developer: PROS (my POV)
- my salary is 30% higher than the new job opportunity and I get increases often.
- I have a desk and environment which I like
- I am working while sitting
- we get good enjoyable time which we every week spend couple hours as team to enjoy, like watching movies, playing games together, going to eat together, its like a mandatory team activity sessions but we all like that and we really enjoy this
- my team is around my age and I really like them, they are very colorful, we have many kind of people that I enjoy spending my time with, I can make friends here easily,
- my boss is a good man and he accepts many requests,
- i am a liked person in the office the other people like me and see me as a friend I don't know if the people will like me at the other job,
- my job is near my house so its easy for me to go to job in 15 minutes,
these were pros in my perspective, now for the cons, CONS (my POV)
- im not very well knowledged on this field so not many jobs accept me as I am now, so this may be the only job that I can work and if I have to leave this job somehow or sometime I cannot find a better job nor equal one with the same pros as this.
- i cannot find time to improve myself so I am standing where I am for years, I probably cannot be improving myself in the future, I tell myself to improve but it doesn't work. so same as the first con I probably cannot find equal job opportunities as like this if I leave here in the future ...
- sometimes our boss cannot pay us at the right time and delay us because of economic situations, since I am a young person who lives with his parents I can stand that but if I marry and had to pay taxes and rent I cannot stand getting my money late and I am getting older.
- since our salary is not stable I cannot take loans from banks to buy bigger things like houses or cars etc. I cannt marry or live my own life with this situation sometimes we get our salary after a month later.
- the job sometimes be very very stressful because sometimes we get hard task jobs and I work after working hours and weekends to close the gap and finish faster. and this hurts me.
- I get even more stressed because the days are unknown, for example I don't know what I will face that given day, I don't know which tasks will be assigned to me or what revisions will be made to websites I've made so starting the day unplanned and unknown hurts me and stresses me, also this tasks may be hard so it makes them more traumatic to me.
- and lastly our boss sometimes can be a hash on us not everytime but sometimes he can be harsh to us but even a little on this stress it effects much.
now my job opportunitiy as gardener, lets start with pros, PROS (my POV)
- i will be working with many people, so I will not be the focus on the job so instead of being a visible/main part of a small team, I will be a small part of a big team so my job may be easy or not important as like the current one. so the tasks will not depend on me and I will float in the space.
- i will be less stressed because the results of the job is not dramatic as like the current one and not important, so if I forget cutting some grass I don't think it would be more stressful and damaging than the current one.
- i will be getting my salary on time every month because the job is kinda linked to goverment, there is very small chance they delay us or get effected by the economy.
- my working hours will be 1 hour less than the current one which is 9-5
- my job won't require any brain power so I will be tired but not stressed to solve a problem.
- there are less chance to be fired or lose the job, like less than 1 percent, its almost like a guaranteed job for me compared to other one I can retire here if I want.
when we come to the negatives CONS (my POV)
- my coworkers will be older than me and will be less polite guys, they may be harsh or bad on me, they may see me as their child who they can yell or force to do work that I don't have to.
- I don't know exactly what I will do, so maybe job is hard for me as my psycial strenght wont be enough for it and they may yell at me.
- nothing may change on my life and I may get stressed about other small things that I cannot fix.
- someone on my current job may see me working and this may make me sad because of the statue difference.
- this job is far from my home and yet its 1 hour less than the current job but I may lost more time on roads traveling to job and coming back home so this 1 hour pros may be gone in this traveling time.
- my salary will be less than the current one, and won't be increasing so often. but the current one increases so often and doesn't have a limit.
- I may be get very tired after work and sleep everyday and won't have time to improve myself.
- I may be regret but I cannot come back to my current work.

2023.03.21 18:50 dandeli_on I don’t feel strong enough to move out on my own. I want to, but I don’t want to at the same time.
I don’t know how to make the final leap to move out.
My family infantilizes me. My mom thinks I will never be able to get another job that’s as good as the one I have now but I’m not sure I want to keep doing this. My mom will frequently tell me (24f) how much I can’t do things on my own, how will I survive without her, etc. The thing that sucks the most is that I crave their validation. I want to leave and pursue a good job but they disprove because it’s a lifestyle they don’t understand. But I still want them to accept me even though I’m chasing after a pipe dream. It feels like I’m severing every part of my current life by quitting my job for the one they hate to think about. But every time I try to have a discussion about how unhappy I am here and how I want to take the opportunity to travel while I’m young goes in one ear and out the other. I don’t know what to do. It’s so frustrating to not be able to get them to listen to me, and people who have functional families don’t understand how difficult this is. I know I will be happier after I leave, but taking that step is honestly distressing. No matter how firm I am my boundaries and decisions are completely ignored and mocked, and I know I’ll be the bad guy when I leave. I hope there’s someone here who understands why this is so distressing.

2023.03.21 18:50 netijan Please suggest the best Credit Card with an Annual Fee for my profile.
Hello Churners,
I'm currently working as an intern and will soon become a full-time employee. I stay in San Francisco, California. I'm looking to get my first credit card with an annual fee, and I prefer a VISA card because I frequently shop at Costco. However, I'm open to an AMEX card if it meets all my requirements.
I travel around 5-6 times a year, so having a card that provides priority pass lounge access would be a plus but not mandatory. I'm also looking for protection plans for purchases, rental cars, and flights.
In terms of rewards, I'd like a card that offers high points for travel, grocery, gas, and shopping categories.
My current credit scores: Transunion 752, Equifax 756, and Experian 735 (FICO).
Previous Credit Cards: Apple Card [$5k limit], Chase Freedom Unlimited [$5k limit], Amex Blue Cash Everyday with a $15k limit, Deserve Student credit card 3k limit.
I haven't applied for any credit cards in the last 6 months and am under the Chase 5/24 limit.
I have found that Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Preferred would be better but later found that I already have Freedom unlimited and those CSP/CSR only gives access to chase portal for redemption of my points. I also found Amex platinum is only worth when you use those benefits it offers, I never used walmart, saks, equinox. I'm also looking at Capital One venture X then found that from January 2023, no outside lounge experiences are allowed with the card.
If I dont choose a Chase Sapphire Reserve/ Preffered now, I cannot apply for it in next 1.2 years again. because this is going to be my 5th credit card in past 24 months. I do not know if deserve credit card is gonna count under Chase's 5/24 rule but I'm counting on it for now.
Can you suggest the best credit card that meets my requirements?
Thank you in advance!

2023.03.21 18:49 caring_cactuss MSc or teaching fellow job in F3? (Or freelance locum and just enjoy life for a year before starting the training treadmill?)
I have an intercalated BSc but nowadays that doesn’t score any points. It seems even PGcert will go down that route, whereas an MSc does score points.
Currently I am weighing up options, do a 1 year MSc (pros: guaranteed points, can locum too, cons: +++ expensive - is the price of it worth the few extra points it will give me)
Teaching fellow job: (pros: get some teaching experience which is always good for the CV, some jobs also fund a PGCert as well. Cons: limits how much time I can locum, teaching fellow jobs pay awfully and tbh a lot of the time it’s service provision dressed up as teaching a few hours a week)
Locum for a year and travel (pros: I can enjoy life for a bit, relax, save up quite a bit. I am already working with some research supervisors, so I was planning on continuing my research work on the side during this too. Cons: I won’t gain any formal qualification, worried about having an “unexplained” gap in my career, feel like I may get FOMO/feel like I have wasted an opportunity if I don’t do a post graduate degree during this time)
Any thoughts? Would love to also get some insight into others who have done any of the above and how you found it

2023.03.21 18:48 Altfresh Apreciation post for FTL: Multiverse.
Hello dear Federation members and multiverse travelers, today I want to share with you some experience I had with this mod.
Pandemic and quarantine have been rough for everyone, it could be not so bad if you had videogames and internet to help you, mantaining you well entertained. My case was difficult, because my gamer computer (it is not really a gamer computer, it is very humble but it works for the games I like) got broken in the worst time possible. With everything what was happening, money was a trouble for us (still is) I just couldn't afford to fix it or buy a new one. I had to count on a very old and slow computer that is not compatible with modern games, even the ones with very low requirements. Fortunately, it was doing good with old games and FTL was one of them. I wanted to play with mods because I was alredy sick of the base game. I played Endless, Captain's edition and of course, Multiverse. Then another difficulty: I lost internet connection for some months, 5 more or less. Being stuck in your home for so long with a lot of worries and without internet connection was for sure a very hard time for me and some other worse thing happened that I don't wan't to write here.
And why I'm telling you about all this? you may ask.
Because I had so much joy playing FTL: Multiverse during this time, that it definitely made it a bit easier. I was there, trying to unlock every ship as possible, completing quest, knowing races, factions, characters and reading text walls, Multiverse is such a amazing mod and it is hard to belive such content for free. I wanted to thank everybody involved in this project. Subset games for creationg a awesome game, Hyperspace's team for making this possible, Multiverse's team for the extraordinary mod, and all the modding community for trowing your fun ideas into the world, helping to expand the game. Currently, I olny played one old version of the mod since my potato computer couldn't run a newer one, and can't imagine what kind of great content the devs added to the mod, I hope to get the opportunity to test it soon, and tests another projects like Eldrich Horrors.
Please, excuse me if this post break some kind of rule, since it is not about something in the game, and excuse me if I made some kind of typo since I'm not an english native speaker. Thanks for reading.

2023.03.21 18:48 Quick-Confidence-355 Tired of others opinions
My fiancé and I are first time home buyers in NNJ. We’ve been looking for over a year now and keep getting outbid (Morris County). The market hasn’t really slowed much here and inventory is very low. We are getting married soon and want to find a house before our wedding (I don’t need other’s opinions on buying a house before being married lol. We are going in 50/50). Renting really isn’t an option for us because my fiancé has two dogs for work. Recently we’ve been expanding our home search to the next county over and we’ve been getting some pushback from our family members about how far that is. We would get more for our money a little further out and to me a 30-40min drive from our parents really isn’t that far. I’ve just been feeling frustrated because no one truly understands how bad the market is unless they are currently trying to buy. I keep getting the “try to wait the market out” and “something will come along eventually/be patient” from our family members. Anyone else feel this way? I’m getting frustrated. We are both in our early 30s and just want to start our lives together already, we can’t wait forever.

2023.03.21 18:44 mobaisland I have a difficult to make job change problem
Hi guys,
It will be a long question thanks to whom reads all of this and answers.

2023.03.21 18:42 HiFive789_ Babylon 5: Season 1 Episodes Ranked
Currently watching Babylon 5 for the first time. I try to give a short opinion about it, but especially with the earlier episodes, there won't be that much, since it's already 3 months or so since I watched them. But for Episodes that I rated highly or pretty much every episode after episode 12, I will be able to say stuff about.
I haven't watched any of the TV Movies yet, since they aren't on Freevee (yet at least, who knows when and if they will be added)
- Born to the Purple (Season 1, Episode 3)
This One just didn't do it for me. I remember being bored most of the time, and the fact that I can't remember it even a bit speaks for itself. I have heard on Serializd that it starts some storylines that would become important later and on First Watch, you wouldn't understand the significance. Maybe it rises on a Rewatch, but for now, it's going to stay at the bottom for the only, in my opinion, "Bad" Episode of the series yet.
- TKO (Season 1, Episode 14)
I think this one is not a surprise. I Have seen this on many "worst episodes" lists before. I'm Looking at the Pictures on Google to maybe remind myself what this one was about. The only memorable thing I can really point out about this is that Walker Smith shares the same german voice actor with Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's Julian Bashir. Apparently, it's about boxing, in a sci-fi show, ... yeah. It is what it is.
- Midnight at the Firing Line (Season 1, Episode 1)
For this being the opening episode, I barely remember anything about it. It's mainly there for introducing people to this new series. I mean, it worked, and I stuck with the series, but honestly, I think it's forgettable and definitely one of the series' weaker outings yet.
The Rest I would consider to be good episodes at least. Definitely enjoyable outings!
- The War Prayer (Season 1, Episode 6)
Looking at my 6/10's for this season on my Babylon 5 Sheet, I think this one is not necessarily the worst, but rather the one I remember the least. I don't remember it being great, I don't remember it being Bad, Just sort of there. I think it was about Racism and that they are not tolerating it on the Station, so It's at least a great message they got here.
- Survivors (Season 1, Episode 11)
Like with The War Prayer, I also don't remember this one that much either. I think it was the episode with Garibaldi freaking out, that were fun scenes. But not much I can remember this for.
- Signs and Portents (Season 1, Episode 13)
The name-giver of the season, and surprisingly disappointing. It was fine, but it just didn't blow my mind or anything.
- Legacies (Season 1, Episode 17)
Pretty Forgettable. It's apparently about a kid who discovers her telepathic abilities, but honestly, I can't remember a bit of it. I remember I found it decent, not particularly good or bad, so that's what I am going to go with.
- The Parliament of Dreams (Season 1, Episode 5)
This one had an interesting plot with G'Kar getting an assassination threat and freaking out all about it.
- Chrysalis (Season 1, Episode 22)
Another Highly Rated episode I was disappointed with. I got the same problems here as I had with Star Trek: Enterprise's The Expanse: It's just all tease and set up for the next season. I mean not that it's bad, it's just that this episode just didn't really do it for me. Got some decent setup, some nice resolutions, and a nice plot twist, just not amazing or anything.
- Soul Hunter (Season 1, Episode 2)
This episode sold me on the concept of Babylon 5. I mean I wanted to watch Babylon 5 anyway since I am a huge Trekkie and Sci-Fi fan, but this episode really sold me on it. It's not the greatest by far, but it's such a huge improvement over Episode 1 with an interesting premise and good pacing. I liked it.
- Infection (Season 1, Episode 4)
This episode managed to win me back on the show After I was disappointed with Episode 3. I have seen another german fan on Serializd who thinks that this is Babylon 5's worst episode. I personally thought it was fun and exactly what I signed up for watching this show. Sure, this isn't the greatest outing, but it's fun and I like it.
- Grail (Season 1, Episode 15)
The Babylon Curse! It was interesting to find out what happened to the other Babylon Stations, and it's also a great foreshadowing of what happened to Babylon 4. The plot is a bit forgettable, but the sympathetic guest stars make this all worth watching for.
- Deathwalkers (Season 1, Episode 9)
Got an Interesting plot. nothing hugely Interesting, but it got fun and interesting concepts. this woman and them finding out who she is were actually pretty interesting to see.
- Eyes (Season 1, Episode 16)
Remember when I said I like on Trial episodes? This may not be their stereotypical outing but instead, it's a different and refreshing take on that concept. Instead of being in this courtroom trying to save the accused member, this one shows that other people on the station also have stuff to do, and can't just sit there in the courtroom all day long.
- The Quality of Mercy (Season 1, Episode 21)
This one got a good plot! I really liked seeing Dr. Franklin investigating and I am also a sucker for these on Trial episodes, I always was, even over on Star Trek. With the added element that not a crew member is falsely accused and the others have to prove their innocence, instead, some Random Guy gets accused of something he actually did, but when Susan tries to execute his punishment, she finds out, in an excellent twist, that there is way more to this than one has thought. Got a pretty fun side plot as well.
- A Voice in the Wilderness, Part I (Season 1, Episode 18)
Mostly saved the fireworks for the next part, but nonetheless, it did more than a good job setting all that up. The Concept and them actually doing something outside the station was really interesting to me. Most, if not all episodes to this point took place exclusively on the Station. It was just refreshing finally see different locations.
- Mind War (Season 1, Episode 6)
Mind War is probably an episode only Babylon 5 can offer. This was the first really refreshing episode for me, everything up until that point I already had seen on other shows before, but this takes the only interesting bit of Babylon 5 we have at this point and resolves a whole story around it. Really refreshing, interesting, and thought-provoking! It's also interesting seeing Walter Koenig in this, he played my favorite Original Series character in Star Trek, Pavel Chekov. He did a great performance as well!
- By Any Means Necessary (Season 1, Episode 12)
Now we're getting into the Great episodes. Honestly, it's getting harder and harder ordering these. Sure, my number one is clear and pretty predictable, but everything leading up to that is really hard. I now decided on this episode, even if I love it. I love Deep Space Nine's Bar Association, and this episode is basically that episode, so I naturally love it. With the added bonus that this episode was released first, so another case of Deep Space Nine copying Babylon 5. But I am not here to resolve that topic, we all know everybody has their own opinion on that matter. Moving away from that, it may not do anything particularly outstanding, but I simply like it for this concept. That ending scene is probably my favorite, where Sinclair resolves the strike and says that you don't give someone a gun without knowing what they're going to do with it.
- Believers (Season 1, Episode 10)
As I said on Serializd, It's a brilliant moral dilemma. Star Trek is known for having great, meaningful Ethical, Social, and Moral dilemmas every two episodes. One Major difference I noticed in Babylon 5 is that it doesn't happen quite that often. This is Good, this helps these episodes stand out of the bunch. And this is exactly what this is. A brilliant moral dilemma. Either saving a life or respecting other religions and cultures. Personally, I think this is an easy decision. What would you do in this situation?
- And the Sky Full of Stars (Season 1, Episode 8)
A brilliant episode! Almost reminds me of a political spy thriller. Simply Brilliant. Sinclair gets kidnapped because of something that happened during the war he doesn't remember. Them Thinking he is miles away, but he's actually on the ship is brilliantly done. A brilliant plot twist. And honestly, It's brilliantly done. I hope this storyline leads to something in the future, we got some tease in the final episode, so I hope this isn't a storyline that was abandoned.
- A Voice in the Wilderness, Part II (Season 1, Episode 19)
Great Action and a Great resolution to what has started in the previous episode. Action-packed and filled with surprises. Honestly, Brilliant!
- Babylon Squared (Season 1, Episode 20)
Because of course, it is. I have heard from all sides that this is a great episode, and the episode I probably looked forward to watching the most, at least in Season, and honestly, these people played the episode down a lot. It's not Great. It's Excellent! Seeing Babylon 4 and Time Travel, which is one of the sole reasons why I love sci-fi. This Episode leaves us with a lot of questions, and I have already heard that they are going to get resolved in the Season 3 two-parter War Without End. Really excited about that! But the episode was spoiled a bit to me, but honestly, if he didn't, I wouldn't stand here right now ranking these episodes and watching the series. I guess that's the price you pay.
Overall, Season 1 was very hit-and-miss. Most episodes were just sort of mid, some stood out, and some are bad, but none stood out as being unwatchable to me. Like with pretty much all shows I watch, I needed a while to memorize the characters' names and I think I still didn't get them all. Especially with Garibaldi and Sinclair, I still confuse every now and then, I mean not on-screen, but rather when I think back on a particular scene, they just sort of blend in my head for some reason. The same with Susan Ivanova and Talia Winters, I didn't realize they were different characters until writing this post. The writing wasn't exceptional to me, or anything like that. it does play with details that will become important later, which I really appreciate. Most characters are sympathetic and really well-written. But none of them was outstanding to me yet. I would say I didn't feel comfortable in this environment until at least episode 8. The visuals play a huge part in that. Yes, the CGI is dated, but I think it looks kinda good and had its charm. What I wanted to say is the Sets look very generic and boring. It doesn't put me off too much, but it makes every episode sort of blend in my head, which explains why I can barely remember some episodes. I even confused Episode 21 with Episode 17 and had to swap their reviews on this ranking.
Well, now let's get onto Season 2, I have heard a lot of great things about it.

2023.03.21 18:40 CoolCucumber Citi Premier vs Capital One Venture X vs Amex Gold (unsure about redemption options)
Just looking for some general advice for what to do next for my cards. In general I would like if it would be possible to simplify my card usage so I don't have to check quarterly categories so much and swap around which cards I'm using where as often. Also looking into whether it makes sense to go all in on one ecosystem, but that's even tougher to decipher.
CREDIT PROFILE
- Current credit cards you are the primary account holder of:
- Citi Double Cash, $19,000 limit, opened 05/2016
- Chase Freedom, $20,000 limit, opened 05/2016
- Capital One Quicksilver, $10,000 limit, opened 05/2016
- Bank of America Merrill+, $7,500 limit, opened 02/2017
- Discover it, $8,000 limit, opened 08/2017
- Chase Sapphire Preferred, $17,500 limit, opened 01/2023 (opened this just for bonus and for big travel expenses this year, I intend to product change it Chase Freedom Flex after the first year)
- FICO Scores with source: (note that scores took a small dip in Feb, scores for the past 6 months have all been closer to the Jan ones I'm listing)
- Discover Credit Scorecard: 815 (Feb), 830 (Jan)
- Citi FICO Score: 826 (Feb), 848 (Jan)
- Oldest credit card account age with you as primary name on the account: 6 years, 9 months
- Number of personal credit cards approved for in the past 6 months: 1
- Number of personal credit cards approved for in the past 12 months: 1
- Number of personal credit cards approved for in the past 24 months: 1
- Annual income $: ~$180k
CATEGORIES
- OK with category-specific cards?: Yes
- OK with rotating category cards?: Yes, already do this with Chase Freedom/Discover it when rotating categories are convenient
- Dining $: ~$1,000
- Groceries $: ~$200-300
- Gas $: 0 (don't drive)
- Travel $:
- Flights: $100 (currently just do one vacation a year, so this tends to be all spent at once)
- Airbnb: $200 (probably the most variable one here, so this can possibly go up)
- Hotels: $0 (personally I like Airbnbs more when traveling when possible)
- Trains/Buses: ~$60
- Lyft/Uber: $0-50
- Do you plan on using this card abroad for a significant length of time?: No
- Any other categories or stores with significant, regular credit card spend:
- Amazon: $300
- Phone: $30
- Internet: $90
- Gym: $90
- Any other significant, regular credit card spend you didn't include above?:
- Pet Care: ~$100-200
- Hobbies/entertainment: $~300-400
- Fashion/clothes: ~$10,000 / YEAR (very high spending area for me as one of my main hobbies, but separated it to by year since I can often go months spending 0 then when a new season comes around or sales start my spending will go way up. Additionally some purchases here can involve foreign transactions so it can be nice to have a card with no fee there)
- Can you pay rent by credit card?: No
MEMBERSHIPS & SUBSCRIPTIONS
- Current member of Amazon Prime?: Yes
- Current member of Costco or Sam's Club? Yes, Costco
- Current member of Chase, US Bank or any other big bank?:
- Schwab (checking)
- Ally (savings)
PURPOSE
- What's the purpose of your next card?: Travel Rewards, previously had been only really concerned with cash back but I would be interested in optimizing for better travel rewards if possible
- If you answered "travel rewards", do you have a preferred airline and/or hotel chain? United for flights (from ORD), but I'm not too particular on this currently. And as mentioned previously, I tend not to look to hotels when traveling.
- Do you have any cards you've been looking at? Some of the options I've personally been looking at:
- Citi Premier + Citi Custom Cash + Citi Rewards+: going all in on Citi ecosystem, as the Citi DC is already my go-to card for most things and I could get restaurant rewards on the Custom Cash. I see the premier until very recently had an 80k SUB, would it make sense to hold out for that if I went that direction? I already made my flight purchases for the year on my CSP, so not necessarily in a rush.
- Capital One Venture X + SavorOne: this option would be for moving focus to Capital One ecosystem
- Chase: haven't considering this one as much but maybe could also make sense to just go with the Chase ecosystem, I just feel like I haven't gotten too much value currently out of my Freedom as I'm only ever able to really make use out of 1/2 quarters per year
- Amex Gold: also been looking at this as it has good points for restaurants, one of my high spend areas, and I think getting the dining credits shouldn't be too tough to offset the annual fee. I know this isn't really a travel card, so this would likely just be used for restaurants/groceries. My only concern is whether this is still worth getting if I intend on going all in on one ecosystem and it overlaps on that. I do also have the 90k SUB available right now, so this is tempting.
A part that's tough for me to work out which actually end up giving the most value in the end, so it would be nice to hear from people more familiar with the offerings. What I'm most unsure about is how easy the points are to use for each system, especially with how limited my travel currently is. Along with that is if I should care about the possibility of cashing out for raw cash back like I already can do with Citi DC if there's no good redemption available for me. Would appreciate any comments if anyone has any thoughts.
