My new apartment has a ductless range hood. I have parrots. So, that's not good.
Option 1. A portable ventilator fan. I would run this outside and I guess clip it somewhere in the kitchen. But this would take up a lot of space and be unsightly.
Or...
Option 2. Connect my range hood to my dryer vent? Can I do this? Would it work? 🤔

I recently travelled to York for a 1 week stay in a self catering apartment, to celebrate a milestone birthday. I took my dad who's in his mid 70's, and has recently had a kidney removed, which has put him on the 'extremely vulnerable' list. He's eligible for additional treatment if he contracts Covid.
 
We paid £1078 for the week, which included a £30 booking fee, and a £10 'damage waiver'.
 
The property was marketed as "we pride ourselves on high quality, not just with our properties but with our entire service. COMPANY handpicks only the best properties and all our accommodation is furnished to the highest standards as you would expect in a leading top hotel."
"We continue to take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across all our properties."
 
Few minor issues that we noticed when we arrived - cups/plates were dirty. We ran a set through the dishwasher. Washing machine was filthy, dirty drum, and very mouldy detergent drawer - I put the drawer in the sink to soak while we went out for dinner.
 
Now the BIG issue - when we returned from dinner and started unpacking and getting ready for bed, I noticed a strong smell of damp in my room, and bathroom. I looked around for the source, and opened some wooden shutters that were concealing the windows.
 
MASSIVE quantitites of black mould on all the windows. It wasn't a few days/weeks worth, this was months and months of mould growth. It was in my room, the en-suite bathroom, my dads room, kitchen and living room.
 
We felt incredibly uncomfortable staying there for a night, let alone a week, given the health risks, particularly to my dad!
 
First thing Saturday morning I went to the office of the rental company, conveniently, just across the road, a 30 second walk from the flat! (Who knows what the rest of their properties are like if one across the road is this bad!) The staff were shocked, very apologetic, and said they'd sort something out.
 
An hour later they called, offering to clean the mould - I said that I know black mould is not something that can be cleaned quickly or easily. They agreed (why did they even suggest it?!) and offered alternative properties. These alternatives weren't suitable AT ALL. The one we chose was in a very central location to make it easy for my dad to get around. We suggested a property that was almost next door, but more expensive. They said we'd have to pay the difference, and wouldn't offer ANY discount for the inconvenience - mean, given the circumstances, but OK.
 
The back and forth discussing this took several hours, depriving us of most of the day. Eventually with them unwilling to budge at all, I attempted to compromise - we'd accept the 'most suitable', of the unsuitable properties, but we wanted:
 

1. The difference that we paid, back (new property was cheaper),
2. A 10% discount on the new property rate (seemed fair to me, given the issue, massive inconvenience we were going through, and for effectively losing a day of our holiday
3. A refund for the night we spent in the mould infested flat, given the condition and risk to health

 
I understand I was perhaps pushing my luck, but they were completely unwilling to move even an inch beyond request 1.
I refused to give them any more money and said I'd like a refund, for the remaining nights (all they were offering), and that I'd rather drive 250 miles home than see them "win".
 
We left, and found a hotel, not wanting to waste the week.
 
 
TLDR - My question:
We paid - £1078 (inc £30 booking fee and £10 damage waiver)
Refunded - £890.31
Outstanding - £187.69
 
Should we be/are we entitled to have the remaining (or any of) £187.69 refunded? And if so, how do we go about doing it?
 
The property was booked in my dads name. We both took out a 1 week travel insurance policy.

I am running an HP Thin client environment managed by HP Device Manager. Each thin client has FreeRDP. This is used to connect to a hyper-v windows desktop using an RDS.Gateway.
I’m using apple AirPods that connect via Bluetooth to my ThinClient.
ISSUE: when I remote into any of my Hyper-V Windows 10 desktops I cannot get audio in or out to work: HP ThinClient T540 ThinClient 7.2 SP 14 FreeRDP version 2.10
These are ThinOS Ubuntu machines using FreeRDP to remote into a Windows 10 Hyper-V Desktop, & im failing to see the shared drives, printers & storage redirects, & the most important is that Audio In / Out is not working when my AirPods are connected to my ThinCliebt Via BlueTooth I get sound through the AirPods on the ThinClient, but through the FreeRDP to the windows HyperV desktop running Windows 10, they don’t work. I’ve enabled it to be allowed on the Hyper-V Desktop.
Can anyone help me get audio in or out to work? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

I am in a relationship with this girl since september, and since january she started living with me and my daughter in same apartment.
My daughter is a kid of me and my ex (23F), I will skip reasons why daughter lives with me because it's not the topic - just to state the fact, her mother sees her sometimes during weekends, but overall I am the one who takes care of 90% needs of this little girl.

Later on I realised I am the only one who's doing breakfasts for the kid, even though I start my job earlier than my gf [sometimes she works 9 am - 5 pm, sometimes 12 am - 10 pm, while I work always 8 am - 4/5 pm, sometimes I have to stay longer].
One day I asked my daughter what did my gf made for dinner [I asked her because she had a free day of work] and what did she say? That she bought her frozen pizza and ovened it. God damn frozen pizza for 2 year old kid [!].
Later on I asked her to go with the girl to a doctor, I also gave her a proper paper so doctor accepts her there [just a rutine control]. She didn't go, saying she had a period.
I started to asking my daugher how does my gf behave when they are both at home and she said that my gf does not spend time with her at all then [!], even when she asks.
I managed to talk about it with my gf and she started saying "it is not my kid, why should I care?". It turned into a big, big argue after which she apologised [it was early march] and said she did a mistake, she should care more etc. I told her that this little girl might look at her as an example of how to behave as a woman and maybe a future mother, I hoped she will take it into consideration.
She did for two weeks, but later on it came back to the same as it used to be. I am worried about my daughter, I am afraid of leaving her at home with my gf. What I am afraid the most - I'm afraid she's gonna tell this to her mother [!!] which might result in suing me to get the child [not big probability because her mother doesn't want to take care of her either, but it's a real risk in my country].

Relations between ME and my gf in all other ways were very good, this one though, due to it's importancy, ruins everything. Hey everyone, I have a question about api gateways. Do the requests between two containers go through the gateway as well? Or does it only capture external requests? I intuitively think that it should capture all requests, and then determine which request (response) is going outside, and which is going into another container. But what if my containers are sitting on something like a bridge network? Do their communication will still go through the gateway? I'm super new to the world of microservices, so my question might sound like total bullshit, let me know if it is.

I played GW1 aaages ago, then initially played Gw2 in 2013/14 where I played a Warrior till 80, got a dungron armour set and pretty much all I remember from that. Ha! Fast forward to about a year and a half ago when I started playing again, went with Necro and was fascinated with Reaper as I imagine a lot people are, got to 80 started HoT, PoF and was eagerly waiting for EoD. Got bored of Reaper and decided to try Scourge and fell in love, no lifed the game as Scourge condi DPS, world bosses, T1 fractals, Meta trains etc, nothing major or min maxing, mostly open world stuff. EoD came and I got through about half of the story then stopped.
Shit happened in real life, didn't think twice about gaming, got rid of my laptop etc.
Fast forward to the last few days, keep seeing posts about updates etc and I want to play again, for some reason, desperate for Virtuoso, looks amazing, and mesmers in general didn't interest me before! Im planning on starting again in the next few months when I manage to get a wee cheap laptop that will run the game.
Will I be better off boosting to 80 then HP train to max out my elite then do all the stories, map completion etc whilst "mastering" my spec?
Or level from 1-80, do core stuff and get familiar with mesmers in general then HP train and expansions?
I suppose mainly I want to know if it's worth me coming back although I won't have a lot of time to play every week?
