2023.03.22 11:29 BrokeEggCantTravel I'm unable to date and don't know how to change.

I am an odd person, growing up my mother, teachers, classmates and other family members were baffled by my behaviour even when I did my very best to fit in. As an adult with perspective and consciousness of the existence of mental health as a general concept as explored as it has been already, I have come to the presumption that I might be autistic though I cannot strictly confirm such since I am not a licensed professional in that field and have not gotten an assessment (formally) so my understandings might be misinformed.
The purpose of the preceding paragraph is to provide context for my issue though it seems unrelated explicitly but I think there's a strong connection between, my general oddness which might be Autism and its corrolary affectation, and my inability to enter into a relationship.
I have never been social, I prefer being alone most of the time, I do not like being touched a majority of the time (except by people i deeply care about), eye contact is just incredibly unpleasant and I loathe casual conversation. These are all things that have been in a way described as being hindrances towards dating because as described by many, you cannot meet people when you are alone, low eye contact describes low self esteem (which i do have but is unrelated), physical touch breeds intimacy in strangers which makes them more familiar (i enjoy physical touch of people i feel comfortable with), casual conversation and flirting are the ways to engage peoples attention long enough for them to make the subconscious decision whether they like you.
I do not excel at texting, mine are often brusque and to the point, I usually try to adapt styles, behaviours and mannerisms I've seem receive favourable responses from others to little success. I can be goofy in conversation and interaction, but if it isn't urgent then I'd rather not text at all.
I have been told I am attractive by my friends and family but I generally stand that I am not, while I am not repulsive by any means, my features often do not appear appealing to me (I experience both body dystopia and gender dysphoria). I used to maintain an extremely manicured appearance but of late at my self confidence has waned I rarely cut my hair but always comb it, keep my nails clean, ensure my clothes are clean and pressed though rarely get new clothes or make effort to personalise my appearance (I work in a court and a specific appearance is prescribed which limits room for expression).
Compounding the issue are two key problems, I work a stressful and involved job which eats up my hours between 7 and 4, by the time I return I am far too tired and uninterested to go anywhere even on the days I am not expected at work (I live with my family and they also demand my attention and contribution in issues in the house). The second problem is despite the nature of my work, I receive very little as a salary which limits my possible recreation and ability to pursue other interests, go out on dates or even quit my job to find another one.
I am Masculine presenting and have a keen interest to modifying that appearance to better suit me but to pursue that I would need either a severe escalation of income (which I am at a loss on how to acquire) with the assurance of continued earning even after the completion of my purpose, or I would need to relocate to a country where my transition would not hinder my affairs beyond social hate (I do not care about people's opinions only their influence) yet immigration process is long complicated and expensive which mean each step requires months of saving for me, my presentation fosters hesitation as well (I do not want to enter into a relationship where I am wanted based on my appearance knowing it will fail because I am determined to change that).
I have tried dating apps and found little success regardless of how I've projected. I have found minor friendships with people continents away yet no one around me.
I do honestly prefer my own company the bliss of silence in absence of expectation, yet I have come to find that in spite (true malevolent spite) of myself and my nature, I am frighteningly lonely.
I crave soul cuttingly deep to be understood, accepted, seen and loved. I am mostly tolerated and those who do love me often don't understand me or share my perspectives (My family is conservative and religious, I am queer and not religious. With my family I feel as though they love me but tolerate parts of myself that I want to celebrate but are waiting for me to grow out of it or praying for me to grow out of it).
I feel isolated and unwanted, then despite my best efforts I find any sort of progress towards relocating or building an income or working on my self image perniciously slow. I have my issues and I am trying to be better but I can't get someone to warm up to me over the Internet and I often don't have opportunity in public life, as well that because I am so starved of affection I feel myself becoming increasingly desperate for it which fuels a rational hesitation in the sparse instances where I see an opportunity in life (barring those where I would need to interrupt other peoples public going on in order to approach them) coupled with the knowledge that I couldn't even afford to take them anywhere for a date (But I do know that is what you're supposed to do). In essence, I'm lost on what I could do beyond what I'm doing to change my situation (if you have ideas I would love to hear them), yet the knowledge that I'm doing all that I can does not alleviate my loneliness.
I fear the consequences of my own despair and what I might do or it might turn me into.

2023.03.22 11:27 Pee_A_Poo DAE die a little inside every time they write a custom cover letter?

Just listing my accomplishments and experiences… selling myself for roles I know I’m perfectly qualified for but statistically won’t even get a response. Putting myself under the judgment of HR managers whom don’t even know half of the qualifications I listed… it’s such a soul-sucking chore.
Like, I spent most of my adult career overcoming demons and obstacles to become an expert in my field. And for what? Here I am, stuck at a job I hate filling out one application after another hoping against all hope for a response.
None of my achievements mattered. And to make it worse, I have to pretend that it does, and go to job interviews boasting about them while feeling like a pathetic loser on the inside.

2023.03.22 11:26 2B_Butt_Is_Great Moving to Japan in my 30s as a 3D Game Artist?

Now I'm 27 (will be 28 next Sept), I'm about to graduate with my Bachelor in Graphic Design, already learned 3D and about to start job seeking in gaming industry (Vietnam). Right now my Japanese is around N4 level, it will take a couple of years to reach N1. I can't just go to Japan now because my language skill is not sufficient and working exp is 0. But in 5 years, when I'm 33 I hope I will have Senior level and N1 Japanese. But can I get a job as 3D game artist at that age in Japan? Almost reach 35 and I heard that age is where they don't hire people. Only ones with 10s years of exp who works as manager positions can get hired. Also, my job isn't really something Japan really need, English teacher and IT are. Japan has a lot of game companies but competition from local people maybe high (people think working as an Artist is fun, but it's hard and requires a lot of unpaid OT). For more info, 3D game artists mostly make 3D models in games like characters, weapons and any stuffs. I don't know If Japan companies really need foreigners in that field, because I can't really find any information beside some job hires which required working visa already available.

Some things in life that should come with a manual, don’t. Living healthy, choosing a college major, being a good friend, choosing a spouse, and raising a child are just a few. It seems that meaningful living simply doesn’t distil well into a one-size-fits-all instruction booklet. Neither does the Smagora wardrobe I recently purchased from IKEA. Songwriting, as it seems, is similarly perplexing.
In Search of Process
I reached a point in Nashville about two years into my staff-writing career when I could go no further without process. I was frustrated with unfinished songs, washy concepts, and uninspired musical foundations. I needed steps I could identify and repeat, without reducing the art to an assembly line production. That’s when I began to see the rhyme and reason behind the approaches used by the great songwriters I collaborated with. They weren’t always aware of their process, but there were tendencies none-the-less. Their typical moves let them come up with great material and finish songs in less time. That’s when I recognized the value of the free-writing I had been doing, and when I began sifting it for the songs it contained.
When we free-write or journal, we press onto the page feelings and thoughts and descriptive language according to whatever floats past our minds. The same language happens out loud in the writing room in Nashville, where instead of free-writing as a paragraph, we free-write out loud one line at a time with imagery like ‘The fields have grown over now, years since they’ve seen the plow.’ Or we might blurt out a more abstract concept like ‘there’s nothing time hasn’t touched.’ Our verbal suggestions for lines of lyric come from the scene in which the song takes place and the message we want to express.
Our own free-writing may wander simply because we haven’t settled on a concept for a song. We’re exploring, and that makes it seem as if there is no song there. But the more we look into specific lines of our free-writing for the song concept they might suggest, the more we can see songs springing from that well of inspiration.
The Song in the Free-Writing
To begin seeing the songs within our own free-writing, I’d like to share an example of some free-writing done without a song idea in mind. The song begins to take shape only when lines are lifted from the free-writing and set in place in a section, such as a verse. The free-writing below is just a few lines written around the keyword ‘rain shower.’

Droplets burst like tiny water balloons on the deck, the wood slabs grayed from too many winters without sanding and staining. That used to be your job. I watched the drizzle paint the window pane, distorting the world like a house of mirrors. I stood staring out the kitchen window. The grass winced under the column of rainwater gushing from the gutter clinging to the roof of the house. That needs fixing too. Blurred headlights pulled into the neighbors drive.

This doesn’t seem like a song, but when I lift lines to establish a rhythm and rhyme scheme, a section of a song begins to emerge:

I watch the rain painting the window
bursting like water balloons on the deck
columns of rainwater gush from the gutters
clinging from the roof
guess they need fixing too
these are the things you used to do
the things you used to do

Or maybe a six-line section of ABCABC like this:

I watch the rain like water balloons
bursting on the deck
grayed from too many winters
The gutters cling onto the roof
gushing on the grass
there’s too much that needs fixing
too much that needs fixing

There was a lot of descriptive language in the original paragraph that was useful for building a song lyric - we just have to grab it. There’s also rhyme already within the writing, and using these ready-made rhyme pairs means we can stay true to the original language that simply felt right when we aren’t trying to write lyrics. To find rhyme within the free-writing we do, we merely need to look for matching vowel sounds, like this:

2023.03.22 11:23 Initial-Routine4506 Data engineer right after college?

To all DEs in the field, I want to ask if it is possible to land a data engineering job right after college? Or walang ganon? hahaha na dapat dumaan muna sa pagiging data analyst or something. Karamihan kasi sa mga nababasa ko sa forum wala daw entry level for data engineering dapat dumaan muna sa data analyst/analytics.
If possible naman, ano kayang skills ang dapat meron ako as fresh grad para maka-land ng entry level DE?. Now, im improving my sql skills, i know some python libraries like pandas, sqlalchemy and psycopg2, and currently reading some books about data modelling, warehouses and schemas.
I really want to pursue that career right after college so bad haha. Asking for insights/advice/tips :)

2023.03.22 11:22 LeniMidnightsEra 25 [M4M] Body worship kita

Mid-week pa lang pero stressed na ako, beh. I think I deserved to touch some muscles. So if you think you have a body worth worshipping for, tara na.
About you: - Maganda ang pecs. Di mo need na maging ripped. Basta maganda pecs mo, G na. - Preferably average look lang. Takaw attention ang pogi, at ayoko ng atensyon. - Malinis sa katawan - Willing magpabuhos ng oil sa katawan. Gusto ring ine-edge.
About me: - Dom na side, but depending on the situation, I might bottom. However, never been analed ako, so don't expect I'll do a good job riding your dick. - Chubby na cute - Kalog at clingy, especially after sex - Will shower you with praises if you deserve it
DM lang kung gusto mo

2023.03.22 11:22 EntrepreneurPretty72 What skillsets or abilities can I highlight in an interview for a counsellor position as a fresh graduate?

Hi
So, I have an interview for the position of a psychologist at an institution I really like. It is my dream job, everything fits and I am grateful that I got called for an interview
BUT, I feel very under confident about my skillset. Due to the strict covid lockdowns that my university implemented, I was unable to get the required practical clinical experience (that was part of my degree) and all my learning (the internships i.e.) were remote and with case discussions. I tried covering that up with a short internship later but I know there will be people of my educational background, fresh out of uni like me, who would have had at least an year’s worth of valuable clinical experience with more knowledge of therapeutic modalities and interventions etc. I already know the competition for this position is high and there will also be people far better than me + trained in more therapeutic modalities… how can I top that?!
We only studied CBT in uni. I do read leisurely on other modalities (DBT techniques etc) and things like attachment theory but I don’t know if its wise to bring any of these up because a) I am not trained in any of these and b) it really is leisure reading and I would really like to get training in these once I can afford it etc. But I also feel conscious about my limitations.
My questions
  1. Is there any way I can talk about these interests of mine in the interview without making it seem I am claiming I know them really well? If yes, how would that discussion go, how could I phrase that?
  2. As the title suggests, what abilities can I highlight instead? What other skills that are therapist centered and kind of specific to the field or position i.e., counsellor at a uni. I have looked online and gotten lists of such skills but I would want to hear your suggestions and also things that are less obvious that could potentially make me stand out?

You can learn this at Java Training In Chennai. So, let's dive in and explore these must-know Java concepts in detail!.

10 Top Core Java Concepts:

Java is one of the most famous programming languages in the world, with millions of companies using it for everything from mobile app development to enterprise-level software development. But with so many different concepts and libraries to learn, it can take time to know where to start. In this article, we'll explore ten core Java concepts that all Java programmers need to know to write effective, efficient, and robust Java code.
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP):
Java is an object-oriented programming (OOP) language that uses objects as its fundamental building blocks. An object combines data and behavior, and Java provides several mechanisms for defining and manipulating objects in your code. Understanding OOP concepts such as classes, objects, inheritance, and polymorphism is crucial for effective Java programming.
Java Virtual Machine (JVM):
The Java Virtual Machine (JVM) is a key component of the Java platform, providing the runtime environment for Java applications. The JVM is responsible for executing Java bytecode, which is a platform-independent representation of Java code. Understanding the JVM is important for optimizing your Java code and ensuring it runs efficiently on different platforms.
Garbage Collection:
Java uses automatic memory management through a process called garbage collection. This means that Java allocates and deallocates memory for you, which helps prevent memory leaks and other memory-related errors. Understanding garbage collection is important for optimizing your Java code and avoiding performance issues.
Exception Handling:
Java provides a powerful mechanism for handling errors and exceptions in your code. Exception controls allows you to gracefully handle errors during program execution without crashing the program or causing other problems. Understanding exception handling is important for writing robust Java code to handle unexpected errors.
Collections Framework:
This Java Collections Framework is a set of classes and interfaces that provide a powerful and flexible way to store and manipulate data collections. The Collections Framework includes interfaces such as List, Set, and Map and concrete implementations such as ArrayList, HashSet, and HashMap. Understanding the Collections Framework is essential for working with data collections in Java.
Generics:
Java provides a powerful mechanism for creating generic classes and methods with different data types. Generics allow you to write reusable code that can be used with any kind without sacrificing type safety. Understanding generics is important for writing flexible and reusable Java code.
Multithreading:
Multithreading is the process of executing multiple threads of execution concurrently within a single program. Java provides built-in support for multithreading, with features such as the Thread class and the synchronized keyword. Understanding multithreading is important for writing efficient and scalable Java programs that can use modern hardware.
Annotations:
Java provides a powerful mechanism for adding metadata to your code through annotations. Annotations allow you to associate additional information with classes, methods, and other program elements, which tools and frameworks can use to generate code, validate code, and perform other tasks. Understanding annotations is important for working with modern Java frameworks and tools.
Input/Output (I/O):
Java provides a powerful and flexible I/O framework that allows you to read and write data to and from files, sockets, and other sources. The Java I/O framework includes classes such as FileInputStream, FileOutputStream, and Socket, as well as higher-level abstractions such as InputStreamReader and OutputStreamWriter. Understanding I/O is important for working with data in Java applications.
Reflection:
Java provides a powerful mechanism for examining and manipulating the structure of Java classes and objects at runtime, known as reflection.

Future Scope Of Java:

Java has been one of the most widely used programming languages for over two decades and continues to be popular. Here are some potential future developments in Java:
Java has a bright future ahead of it as it continues to adapt to meet the changing needs of developers and businesses. Additionally, you can study Python Training In Chennai to have the best job opportunities.

Conclusion:

2023.03.22 11:09 RingSilent5428 Does a physics degree have good job prospects?

I like physics and got an offer to study physics at a prestigious university in the UK. However, I'm unsure of the job prospect of a physics degree. I feel like physics is not a very practical degree as outside of academia and education, I can't really think of any field that is directly linked with physics. In the UK, I won't be able to take modules outside of physics as part of my degree, which makes my skillset quite limited. If I want to pursue a career in a different field, I would need to take online courses on my own or pursue further studies in another field.
My other option is to take computer science in my local university, which has a strong cs programme but is slightly less prestigious. A CS degree is highly employable and can lead me to high paying jobs, but I'm not as interested in computer science.
How are the job prospects of a physics graduate and which option should I choose?

2023.03.22 10:50 meowmiia insane anxiety!! am I overreacting?

Hello everyone. Me and my fiance are currently 14 weeks pregnant. My pregnancy is a high-risk pregnancy, I have PCOS, and I was diagnosed with infertility, which in the first place I shouldn't have been able to get pregnant to begin with. Our midwife, doctor, and gyne confirmed the pregnancy as high-risk and something that shouldn't have been possible to happen due to my advanced state of PCOS. I am at a very high risk for developing diabetes 2 and gestational diabetes due to my PCOS, I have diagnosed hypertension and a very high risk of developing pre-eclampsia, which as we've been told by doctors, it could even be deadly. Just to start this off, I wanna make it clear that we do not live in the USA. We live in a different country in Europe, where my fiance is originally from, and to where I have migrated. I am a college student, and I'm 24 years old. My fiance is 21 years old, and he's currently doing military service. Conscription here is mandatory for men, either 6 to 12 months of conscription, social work, or the chance of being exempt from it due to certain medical reasons or circumstances. Our financial situation is not the best. We're currently living in a 32 square meter apartment in a very bad neighborhood, known for being a ghetto neighborhood, but it was the cheapest thing we could afford given the circumstances of me being a student. He does not get paid from the military service, and we pretty much live on welfare currently, which is not ideal. I've been trying on a weekly basis to get a job, but due to my language barrier (I'm still learning and studying the language), I get turned down for every job position, even tho I have a prior qualification to my current college degree. I can defend myself with the language for survival, but on a job, whether it's in my field or in any other field, I'm required to be able to speak the language fluently, which currently I am not because I'm still learning it. The situation would be much more different for him because he is originally from here, and he speaks the language. It's his mother tongue. His military service would be ending in 3 months from now, yet the baby would be arriving by September, so in 5 months, we should be already out of this neighborhood, living in a different apartment, and having enough savings to afford all basic necessities for baby and for us. I'm just wondering whether I am unreasonable for arguing with him over this matter, I have asked him multiple times on multiple occasions to quit the military service and ask to be exempt from it due to our situation, so he could get a job to save enough for 4 months to move out and to afford everything we need to prepare before the baby's arrival, since on the 5th month the baby would already be here, the ideal thing would be having moved latest a month beforehand, so we also have time to find a new maternity clinic and the hospital where the baby will be born at, and the doula, and gathering everything we will need by then. We've argued over this a lot, because he says he has wanted for years to do the 6 month military service, and he doesn't want to quit it now over this, yet in my head the priority here should be him helping me out with my high-risk pregnancy and getting the finances we need for the baby's arrival. My family lives in a different country, so obviously they can't help, his family lives on the other side of the country we live in, so it's hard to get help from there too, same as friends who also live in the same city where his family lives. The only reason we're living so far away from everyone is because of the college I got accepted into being here. My plan is to transfer to a different college closer to his family and our friends, and keep on studying there after 1 year extension for maternity. He agreed with this plan, too, but we can't make that happen unless we have finances. He thinks that I'm asking for something unreasonable because this is something he's wanted for years, yet I think I'm completely reasonable worrying about my and baby's health and our financial situation.
Am I being unreasonable? Should I let go of asking him to quit the military service? Should I just wait for him to get out of there in 3 months when his service ends, and then he'd be working for a couple months, and we'd move with whatever we manage to save then? We're both young, this is our first pregnancy, and we definitely want to do the best we possibly can, but some external points of view and advice would be helpful and very much appreciated. 🙏

2023.03.22 10:49 Worried-Walrus852 Tech School or Apprenticeship?

Currently I am attending a welding program at the local community college where I live being in Hawaii. We mostly do stick welding, as my professor insists if you can do that, you can do any type of welding. Its a 2 year program. I am paying for this all by myself while also working on the side to get by. Lately, we have been doing absolutely nothing in class. We show up, and the professor shoots the s*** with the few kids that are left attending, and eventually at night (6 hours later after doing nothing) we burn some rods.
Ive been getting good at laying beads, but I feel that this program is a waste of money and time since yes, I will have a degree and welding cert, but all I can do is lay decent beads. No blueprints, haven’t done any joints or pipe welding. Just practicing horizontal, vertical and flat on a plate. Will it be better to get an apprenticeship when I move back to California/Nevada? I feel Id learn more doing that, and actually being in the field but what’re the odds I can land a welding or helping job if I bail on this program? Looking for experienced welders and just your guys’ experience.

2023.03.22 10:42 HalfNegative8801 Starting a career in the legal field

My partner is finding it difficult to find and be accepted for starter roles in the legal field. They have a bachelor and master degree in law as well as having recently completed an LPC. They do not have long tenured legal experience in the past, mostly work experience and some part time legal assistant work. There other and more recent experience is in administration and management roles.
Their cv is polished, but they have been getting very little feedback on paralegal and trainee roles uk wide after months and hundreds of applications across many sectors of law.
I guess what I’m asking is, does anyone have advice on the best way to attain a starter role in the legal industry beyond scouring the web and reaching out to people on linkedin? I work in a completely different sector so I’ve found my typical job search advice isn’t helping.
As a side note, is the legal sector as a whole suffering at the moment? Are other people finding it difficult to find any jobs?
Edit: advice relating to unpaid work experience is also welcome. I make enough to support us both so anything to get her foot through the door is good

2023.03.22 10:36 SiegmundYEET Anon hates consultants

You know what job field is bullshit? The fucking consultants. and im not talking about consultants in a shop or a store or some shit i am talking about those white-collar job type consultants working in them offices. the entire fucking premise of such a job is so redundant like you do a fancy pants presentation and call it a project, claiming that it took you a whole ass week to complete said "project" when it could be done within 30 minutes on chat gpt or with cliches from other consultant presentations. "you want to attract more clients to your business? we can offer solutions for your company. here is a contract for 5 quadrillion dollars and we will do a shitty 5 slide presentation with vague suggestions". i fucking hate consultants wholeheartedly, even more than the entire techno community. both of these communities are equally elitist in relation to anyone who is not sided with them.

2023.03.22 10:33 maxmandragoran Desperate husband of wife, 15 weeks pregnant with twins, uncontrollably angry with me and wants divorce. I'm mad with worry. (Very long post)

We've been married 8 years, have no kids but had two 2 miscarriages in the past 6 years, which took a toll on our marriage.
The 1st miscarriage in 2017 was at 17 weeks, a baby girl we wanted to name Joy. We were both devastated but she believes she grieved more than I did, although I was always the one who had hoped for children while she never wanted any up until then.
The 2nd miscarriage in 2020 was around 12 weeks. It was the first several months of the pandemic. We work in a hospital and the intensity of my duties kept me away for days at a time. Even when we met, I tried to keep a distance to keep her safe from possibly catching the virus, which she understood at that time because the Covid situation then was very severe worldwide and there was still a lot we didn't know about it.
But after miscarriage, she resented me bitterly. She then decided we'd be better off without kids. I didn't want to cause her any more grief, so I went along. Since then, it's been up and down, mostly downs. Eventually I started to spend even more time at work to avoid her wrath at home. We still see each other at the workplace (she's another department) but at least it's civil.
Last year, through a series of misunderstandings, she started to accuse me of having an affair with our colleague. This colleague was my college ex, we moved on 20 years ago, which my wife knew about too. I swore my innocence repeatedly but she refused to accept it. We argued for months. In the process, I said some nasty words, said it wouldn't be surprising if I left her for that woman since my wife was such a terror. I deeply regret it now. I don't think she herself truly believes, but she took my words as admission of the non-existent affair and demanded a divorce.
We started proceedings and separated last April. She still lives in our house while I've practically moved into my office. But on occasions when I returned home to collect stuff or when we attended events outside, we'd enjoy our time together - like the dates we used to have before everything went awry. We managed to have some very good sex too, so I started to find more excuses to "pick up my stuff" couple times a week and she never turned me down.
I'd say our relationship improved drastically after I agreed to the separation. I didn't have the time or interest to date anyone else and to my knowledge neither did she.

Now, about 2 months ago, she suddenly turned all cold and angry again for no discernible reason. She called in sick for a few days and ignored all my calls, messages and shrugged me off when I checked on her.
2 weeks later, my brother finally learnt the truth from another colleague - my wife is pregnant, with twins.
I'm very hurt at the way I had to find out, but that's beside the point. The colleague later told me she explored her options for abortion but did not or has yet to go through with it because my wife reportedly told her she "knew it would break (me) for real" if she did.
Hearing that, I was reaaally hopeful that this pregnancy would save our marriage. I have been so miserable.
But when I approached my wife about her pregnancy, I discovered that she was (and still is) in a terrible rage at me. She keeps telling me not to get my hopes up, keeps flinging the abortion threat in my face, says she'd rather raise the children on her own because I'll never have time for them, insists she still wants to go through with the divorce, will take care of herself, won't need maintenance, and basically many illogical, contradictory and hurtful things.
She has even been trying to convince me that the babies aren't mine. But in one tired distracted comment while mad at me, she said they've driven her crazy "just like their father". Another day, she declared she hates me and hates my babies. Yet another day, she blamed me for picking a good date to intentionally knock her up - we spent the whole stretch of Christmas Eve to New Year's Day together, had unprotected sex throughout often at her initiation, and now her EDD is the date of our 1st miscarriage. Unless she managed to slip out in secret to bang the deliverymen, I really don't see how the babies aren't mine.
She also said she's gonna quit her job and move out for good so we never have to meet again. And she is really packing up her stuff at home into big boxes and has been researching renting dubious walk-ups in lousy neighborhoods far from me.
Meantime I'm relieved at least she's still seeing the OB and taking her iron, folic, screening tests and avoiding alcohol, caffeine etc. While mostly cold and snappy, she still lets me take her out for meals several times a week and never rejects food or massages from me. The other day I even spotted two twin pregnancy books on her car seat when I peeked in. I was incredibly heartened.

I have no doubt she's terrified and conflicted. But she's so stubborn and angry that I just can't get through to her. She's made clear counselling and therapy are out of the question, and I can't slip her any tranquilizers either since she's pregnant.
I'm worried sick about her for so many reasons:
She's pushing 40 and that already puts her at significantly higher risk for many pregnancy complications, carrying twins to boot. So far no major issues detected, the usual anemia, low BP, some spotting; cervix unremarkable. But her face gets a gaunt green cast from nausea or headaches most mornings even now, and though she's showing quite a bit, she has actually lost considerable weight. She was already borderline underweight. Can tell she gets dizzy or breathless easily but she still insists on climbing up and down needlessly packing her boxes and even wants to lug them down the stairs herself. Of course I put an end to that nonsense when I see it, but I'm really terrified she'll hurt herself trying to prove some reckless physical feat when I'm not around. Or pass out in the bath alone at home.
She goes on about me never having time for a family but bars me from her OB visits - which occurs at our workplace! I've had to install "spies" all around her to find out how she feels, yet even that is difficult - the guys are useless as she knows their loyalties to me and I can't be too pally with her women friends in case she develops another misunderstanding, which would be the worst time for that to happen again. So far only my brother and his gay partner have been my greatest help as she genuinely adores them. She forbids us from telling both sides of our parents about the pregnancy and keeps trying to suck in her belly to keep it a secret as if people are blind. She was never like this before.
I'd like her to take a long break from work or even quit entirely so she can get sufficient rest and hopefully regain her sanity, but I know she'll be insulted or suspicious of my motives and it will also be much harder for me to keep an eye on her if she's not constantly pottering around near us. She might also use that newfound free time to really run away forever.

I really really really want to be around for her and our babes, but I'm so scared of destabilizing her with anything I do or say.
I've turned this over in my head time and again but I truly truly don't believe that we have reached the end of our marriage. I feel like there's still so much evidence pointing to the fact that she still loves me.
Many people claim it's clear I'm a calming presence for her (the irony!). My bro says even now her eyes always sweep the room until she spots me. She still publicly defends me in arguments in my absence and is always empathetic when I have a trying day (as long as it's not caused by her). I don't know what I would do without her.
She seems to have it all together in public but it's a different story in private. These 2 months, in the rare few instances I've dared raise my voice back at her or when her rage has driven me to break down, she would become immediately contrite, retract her words, apologize profusely, and then inevitably become distressed to tears, at which point I would have to spend more time consoling her. Those are also the only times she allows me to guide her in techniques to calm her erratic breathing. But sometimes I think I'm having a panic attack myself.
It's all terribly exhausting for us both but even more so, it is simply gut wrenching for me watching her. The 2 miscarriages left me wracked with guilt; there are many things I wish I did, I truly don't want her to have to go through that trauma a 3rd time. I'm a medical professional and there's so much I know in theory but I am really at my wit's end when it comes to my delicate pregnant wife who's perpetually in an uncontrollable rage at me. Everything I've done is wrong. I'm so fucking scared. I'm so fearful I will again unwittingly hurt her irreparably. And there are still so many weeks more to go. I don't know if we can make it.
When I ask what she wants from me or what I can do to make things better, she says impossible things like carry the babes myself, leave her for good, or to father other children with other women. My god.
I have thought long and hard about it and have put this to her as gently as I could: I don't need to have kids. She doesn't need to have kids. If it comes down to that, I would save our marriage over saving the babies. Or if saving our marriage is impossible too, it would be OK as long as she is happy and healthy again. Mentioning this invariably leads her to more rage and more inconsolable tears. She is incensed that I'm "choosing between them" or trying to force her to choose, which I'm not! I'm just trying desperately to say there's no pressure, there's nothing I could ever want so badly that I can't do without, I swear it. I'm just so afraid she can never be herself again. Should I help her arrange for an abortion and make her go so that the choice is mine?

I've tried so hard to analyze and identify/eliminate any potential causes for her rage.
I never comment on her growing belly or boobs in case she flares up. She definitely likes belly rubs, back rubs, calf and head massages so she certainly doesn't hate my touch. She doesn't gag when we kiss. It's not about the sex either; in fact it seems to put her in a better mood for a very short while. We're not financially strained (unless she really intends to divorce me and refuse a cent while trying to raise the twins on her own) and both of us can arrange for prolonged time off work if we really need to. We have a part-time cleaner so any chores she ever does herself is because she wants to. Anything she can't tolerate, I've stopped eating as well. I've given her copious supplies of vitamins, essential oils and home remedies for her nausea and headaches. I've been spending so much more time with her now, work is really just an afterthought. I've tried ignoring her provocations but she would follow me and demand a response then accuse me of patronizing her. To protect her sense of independence, I even let her continue to drive despite my concerns about her terrible driving.
There are some things I can't compromise though - no way I'd let her have sashimi or lift the heavy luggage and boxes herself. Admittedly I'm a bit of a nag about drinking enough water, taking her supplements and BP monitoring. But can I really allow her to be so reckless and go her own way?
I suspect my presence alone might be a trigger for her rage. But apparently not having me around distresses her too. 3 times these 2 months, I was shocked to learn that when I missed minor meetings or events without first informing her (though I had no idea I was expected at all), she disappeared into the bathroom to cry. She insists it was nothing but once let slip that she thought I stayed away because I was angry at her, which is so irrational. Why would I be angry at her??? My bro and his partner concluded that my absence was the only consistent factor for her odd behavior.

I'm ashamed to be such a bumbling clueless husband. Truth is she's surrounded most of the day by people and family perfectly equipped to handle any physical problem that might occur. Yet I've never felt this stressed, helpless, blindsided and impotent my entire life. I am at a total loss. And it's been only two months since I found out. Last night she screamed at me to just stop bothering about her. So today she drove herself to work while I stayed home to despair over the keyboard wondering if it's tears or rage now because I actually heeded her advice. Maybe I should have feigned ignorance about the pregnancy from the start.
It was very hard for me to put this all down in words, I'm sorry it's so long and incoherent, but I've really reached my wit's end. I don't usually log into Reddit, so this is a measure of my desperation. If anyone out there studying this convoluted essay can help figure out any hints to the root of my problem or if anyone can offer a desperate man some sound advice - that works - on daily methods to handle my fiery pregnant wife or tips on how to dissipate her flying rages... please help me. I will be eternally grateful.

2023.03.22 10:30 DzingDzong Need help validating/improving an air duct design - paid offer

Hi everyone, i am an absolute beginner in 3d design but currently i am designing an air duct for a 5015 blower for the Creator 4 printer. I have made a basic design, but i see that there is a lot of room for improvement because quite a lot of air is not ending up where it needs to be. So i need someone with 3d design experience who could simulate air flow and correct/optimize the model i made.
As i need the duct for work, i am ready to pay good for the job :)
IMPORTANT: A strict requirement is the ability to simulate the air flow. As the prototype is already finished and tested the task at the moment is to optimize it for optimal air flow through simulations. So only offer if you can do that and have experience in this field :) Thank you!
PM me with offers if you are interested!
