2023.04.02 09:23 Lappi_Luthra I have completed my first NPTEL course on DSA in Python (without certificate)
| Introduction https://preview.redd.it/r2w4c5rhafra1.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7720bab59ed9b22bbdc23e3ab27241b8aedb24c2 Recently I completed the NPTEL course which is based on Data Structures and Algorithms in Python. This course is taught by Prof. Madhavan Mukund of Chennai Mathematical Institute. I like to thank the whole team of this course for making such a great course on such an unfamous topic and providing such great quality at free of cost. Who should do this course and Why? It's a great course for beginners in programming because it teaches Python from basic to intermediate level. If you don't have any prior knowledge of programming or Python you can take this course (no prerequisites). Also, this course teaches search and sorting algorithms at a very deep level. It also has many data structures like linked list, binary tree, heap, stack and queue. But I would say the Algorithms part was better. The Data Structure part was taught at a very basic level. I would recommend studying more about it from other resources. Good luck if you are starting this course. Why Python can be a great programming language for learning Data Structure and Algorithms Python has a very beginner-friendly and easy-to-remember syntax. Python also has many inbuilt functions which can be very useful because you don't have to write the basic function in your code again and again (like you have to do in C) or import any library most of the time. But Python hides data types of variables because it's a dynamically typed language. Python is a very popular language for Machine learning, Scientific calculations, and Data Science. Python is an interpreted language, no need to compile the code. Python is very easy to set up. So, choose according to your aspirations and needs. In the last lecture, Sir said a great line, **"** Learn Programming, NOT programming Language ". It's so true if you think deeply, the fundamentals of programming language are mostly the same and every language has pros and cons. Be a problem solver, not a syntax writer. Language doesn't matter, intent of learning and ability to solve problems matter. Programming language is just a medium. I understood this fact after some time. Let's discuss each week one by one https://preview.redd.it/9blvquejafra1.jpg?width=1807&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=18d7ff3bd29c1010dd1b0ea2c012c8bd7966328d Week 1 : Informal introduction to programming, algorithms and data structures Downloading and installing Python, gcd in Python: variables, operations, control flow - assignments, condition, loops, functions. It was very basic lectures, if you are a beginner you may find it very difficult but wait things will become easy after some weeks, be patient. Week 2 : Python: types, expressions, strings, lists, tuples Python memory model: names, mutable and immutable values, List operations: slices etc, Binary search Inductive function definitions: numerical and structural induction, Elementary inductive sorting: selection and insertion sort, In-place sorting. This week real stuff comes and you will know many things you don't know in Python. Give time if you are a beginner try writing basic programs in Python. Move slowly, but learn properly. Week 3 : Basic algorithmic analysis: input size, asymptotic complexity, O() notation, Arrays vs lists, Merge sort, Quicksort, Stable sorting. Here we study some common sorting algorithms. Here, the code is discussed, understand it properly by dry running it using pen and paper. Week 4 : Dictionaries, More on Python functions: optional arguments, default values, Passing functions as arguments, Higher order functions on lists: map, filter, list comprehension. This week was more about Python language, Merge Sort and Quicksort, it gives you taste of hashmap using dictionary data type. Dry run sorting algorithms and write some basic programs in Python using what you have learned. Week 5 : Exception handling, Basic input/output, Handling files, String processing. This week was focused on Python, but this week's lectures had many Python concepts are discussed that are not known by many people who know Python. So, don't skip even if you know Python. Week 6 : Backtracking: N Queens, recording all solutions, Scope in Python: local, global, nonlocal names, Nested functions, Data structures: stack, queue and Heaps. This was focused on Data Structures and their implementation using list data type. This week also has a very important algorithm called Backtracking and it is explained, so view the lecture properly and at 1x speed. Week 7 : Abstract datatypes Classes and objects in Python, Linked Lists : find, insert, delete, Binary search trees: find, insert, delete, Height-balanced binary search trees. This week's lectures were focused on OOP and Data Structure Implement. Data Structures were taught at a very introductory level so study from other resources also. Week 8 : Efficient evaluation of recursive definitions: Memoization, Dynamic programming: examples, Other programming languages: C and manual memory management, Other programming paradigms: functional programming. This is the last week of this course. It was a fairly long week because it is on a very important topic of competitive programming called Dynamic Programming. Also, I found it was the assignment hardest of all. The last lecture was based on comparison of Python with other languages, some limitations of Python as a programming language and general advice for students. Mistakes to avoid while taking this course - Don't view lectures at 2x speed. It's not a movie, it's a lecture. Pause when required, go back if you don't understand anything, search on the internet and go slow but learn properly.
- Programming Assignments are relatively harder than Quizzes but teach you a lot and fill gaps in your learning. Please try to complete it on your own.
- Check answers after completing the whole quiz. See your score and again study the weak topics.
- Don't try to learn from multiple sources at once, first complete this course content then view other resources if needed.
- Don't do multiple courses at once. If you try to learn from multiple resources, you will learn nothing. Move one-by-one.
Some Advices and Additional Things It's not an 8-week course if you already know some Python. Mostly, assignments are easy if you understood the lecture properly. My average score was 80%+. And please complete the assignment before going forward in the course, it's very beneficial for filling gaps in your understanding. And don't leave this course incomplete. Take help and continue progressing. In this course, Sir also runs the code on terminal/interpreter of Python to teach. After completing this course you can make a project to showcase what you have learned in this course. If you don't understand any topic properly in this course or some more stuff about Python not covered in this course, see this: https://www.cmi.ac.in/~madhavan/courses/python2022/ What after this course This course makes a strong base for you in computer science and DSA. Now you can learn on your own. Another course on Data Structures and Algorithms In Python by freeCodeCamp: https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/learn-algorithms-and-data-structures-in-python/ Also, Prof. Madhavan Mukund has an awesome course on the Design and Analysis of Algorithms: https://nptel.ac.in/courses/106106131 And many more, try searching on the internet. Some Personal Talk This was my first course of NPTEL and I would definitely recommend using NPTEL more because of its large library of free and quality courses. Also, I don't take certificate because it is a beginner-level course and the certificate was not free. Also, I took this course after completing Harvard's CS50 (I have written blog about this, here) and I thought this NPTEL course will not have that type of high-production quality. But this course is very well taught and it took time for me to adjust to this type of teaching process. Also, some people find NPTEL courses very boring but that's not true, you have to concentrate to understand the topic perfectly. I have made handwritten notes of this course, which took some additional time. And due to my college academic pressure, this course took more time than in general. I learned how to use Python Official Documentation. Also, I found last week's assignment the hardest because it was on Dynamic Programming and it's a hard topic. Share you thoughts in comments. Lastly, Thanks for Reading this Blog Post 🙌, hope you have a good day :) submitted by Lappi_Luthra to u/Lappi_Luthra [link] [comments] |
2023.04.02 09:23 Dai_Tian-Ci 2023 Football Player Breakdown: Alex Orji
Alex Orji is a 6'3" Sophomore (rs Freshman) QB. He came to us as a
3 star prospect from Sachse Texas with
offers from lots of other P5 schools like Oklahoma, Nebraska, TCU and others. He flipped to us from an original commitment to Virginia Tech. He threw for 2056 yards and 28 touchdowns completing 127 out of 247 pass attempts (51%) while rushing for 1187 yards with 23 touchdowns on 160 carries (7.4avg) during his senior year of
High School. Here's a little
interview from him then.
His ability as a runner and
Boulder like physique at nearly 240lbs have led many to be excited about his potential. His brothers Alston and Anfernee played at Vanderbilt, so he has a
family tradition of great student athletes that he's now carrying on with us.
He appeared in three games at QB last year as a true freshman; rushed for two touchdowns on six carries totaling 37 yards and completed one pass for five yards to earn his first varsity letter. His logs are below with some highlights attached.
• Named Offensive Freshman of the Game following his performance against UConn • Named Scout Team Offensive Player of the Week for his role in preparing the defense for Nebraska • Made his U-M debut against Colorado State (Sept. 3) and scored
his first career TD, a four-yard run • Scored a rushing
touchdown among three carries while playing relief action against UConn (Sept. 17) • Entered the game at Indiana (Oct. 8) and ran once for three yards
He just balled out in the
Spring Game making some sweet highlights going 4/6 for 47 yards with a touchdown and adding 5 carries for 19 yards. His dime to
Freddy Moore was especially impressive. He seems to be getting better as a passer which is encouraging, if he were to develop into a decent thrower of the football his skills certainly make him a huge threat for opponents.
With
JJ McCarthy,
Davis Warren,
Jack Tuttle and others on the roster in addition to
Jadyn Davis coming next year he has no shortage of competition at his position, but if he can continue to develop and work hard at being the best version of himself he can be, I believe he has great potential.
As for some lighter stuff, from his tiktok he is a
big fan of the all Maize uniforms and here's his journey so far according to
himself. He
grew up a fan of Mike Vick, RG3, Cam Newton & Johnny Manziel.
This is the second post in a series with lots of info about our players going into 2023's season, the first was
AJ Henning which you can find here. Hope you enjoyed!

Intended Major(s): applied CS
Academics - GPA/Rank (or percentile): 4.0/4.5

- Senior Year Course Load: 2 APs, 3 DEs
Standardized Testing List the highest scores earned and all scores that were reported. - SAT/ACT: 1560 (760, r, 800 m)
- SAT II:
- AP/IB: 5 on chem, physics, calc ab, 4 lang
- Other (ex. IELTS, TOEFL, etc.):
Extracurriculars/Activities: (very vague) * some basic CS stuff. coded some apps and shit * math competitions, good placements regional, sectional, and state * science comps, also good placements * machine learning project related to healthcare sector, expanded in my essay
Awards/Honors: (list here) * basic school awards * pretty big statewide CS award * some misc science / math awards, nothing much
Essays/LORs/Interviews: (briefly reflect/rate) no interview. common app essay was alright, i didn’t take any of that shitty advice i found on youtube i just wrote a good narrative story that showcased my passion for cs. it flowed quite well and didn’t sound forced. 7/10 northwestern essay: related my ML project to research currents profs are doing, emphasized how nu’s interdisciplinary approach is rly important to me. connected many diff parts of the school back to my own personality. also mentioned some clubs, made some jokes here and there. honestly was really good imo 9/10
Decisions (indicate ED/EA/REA/SCEA/RD) - Acceptances: (list here): northwestern (ed)
- Waitlists: (list here)
- Rejections: (list here)
Additional Information: * i have loved northwestern for a while and decided it was the school for me. coming from a working class family i knew i was gonna need hella aid and NU showed up with that $$$ in addition to being my top choice. really happy that i got this done in december but i was reluctant to post. as you can tell i wasn’t the most involved person at hs and if i had one key takeaway it would be to do shit ur rly passionate about. i know it sounds cliche but if you just do it for apps it sounds so forced and fake on your app and essays. i think that’s why it worked out for me; i have always loved cs

2023.04.02 08:35 Flashy-Leek Bay Area Asian Male in CS clutches multiple public ivies!!!
Demographics - Gender: Male
- Race/Ethnicity: Indian
- Residence: Bay Area
- Income Bracket: not low income
- Type of School: Public
- Hooks (Recruited Athlete, URM, First-Gen, Geographic, Legacy, etc.): None
Intended Major(s): Applied Computer Science everywhere (risky i know)
Academics - GPA (UW/W): 4.00 UW, N/A W
- Rank (or percentile): N/A but if I had to guess I think I’m salutatorian among 500 students
- # of Honors/AP/IB/Dual Enrollment/etc.: 8 AP courses (+ 2 exams self-studied). My school only offers AP classes 11th onwards. Took APUSH, APENG, AP Calc BC, and AP Physics 1 in 11th grade; AP Stats, AP Chemistry, AP Physics C, AP Gov in 12th grade; 1 community college course (Multivar summer before 12th); Self-studied APCSA and AP Microeconomics.
Standardized Testing List the highest scores earned and all scores that were reported. - Only took ACT once and got 36 (36 on math and english and 35 on science and reading)
- AP: 5s on 5 exams and a 4 on APUSH
Extracurriculars/Activities - AI internship at small startup
- AI research w/ SDSU proffesor
- AI Research program 2x w/ research papers (not a big one, kinda local and not competitive)
- Founder of organization where I taught kids AI online (not a nonprofit)
- A STEM club co-president
- co-Founded elementary school math club
- CS Teacher and officer of teaching nonprofit
- Uc berk data structures course
- Taught math to elementary kids through a program
- Robotics
Awards/Honors List all awards and honors submitted on your application. - AIME 4x qualifier
- Ranked in small data science comp in kaggle
- AP Scholar with Distinction
- President's Volunteer Service Award (Gold)
- Small math tournament honorable mention
Letters of Recommendation 10th grade math teacher (8/10): they asked me to write it for them. Very difficult math class, one of few to get an A. Also mentioned my math experience.
Physics teacher (8/10): I wrote for them and I’m assuming they used it. I was one of the few juniors in a majorly senior class and actively volunteered and sat in front. Did rlly well in class. Mentioned personal experiences in class helping others and volunteering to answer questions.
Head of school at which my org taught AI: he enthusiastically offered to write it, so im assuming it was good
Interviews None of the schools i applied to have interviews
Essays So i went with a different strat for this… I didn’t write anything personal. No stories about people, relationships, families, or problems I face. I think those are awesome if you can do it well, but I rlly can’t write like that so basically all my essays were about my interest for AI and it was kinda like a brag sheet? Ik these aren’t interesting but I think it works well for schools like UCs.
Like seriously I’d rate my essays a 6/10 in interest but they were straight to the point about AI. no big words or fancy language or anything like that.
Decisions (indicate ED/EA/REA/SCEA/RD) Acceptances: - UCLA (DREAM SCHOOL!! → Commited:)))
- UCSD (w/ regents scholarship)
- Georgia Tech (EA)
- UMich (EA)
- UT Austin (EA)
- UIUC (EA)
- UC Irvine
- UC Davis (w/ regents scholarship)
- UC Santa Barbara (w/ regents scholarship)
- UC Santa Cruz
- University of Wisconsin Madison (EA)
- University of Maryland (EA)
- SJSU
Acceptances, but...: - UW (Pre-Sciences / not CS)
- Purdue (Second major: Data Science)
- UC Riverside (Second major: Data science)
Waitlists: - UNC
- Cal Poly Slo
- Carnegie Mellon (priority waitlist)
Rejections: - USC (deferred → rejected)
- Berkeley
Thoughts: - Now my application is averageish esp for my ECs for the CS schools i’m applying to. My essays weren’t all that either. I truly think the biggest thing that helped me is my spike. My entire app revolved around AI and my interest for it. All my activities were around AI/math/CS and so were my essays and school classes to an extent. I didn’t do any sports or music, just a spike that catered to my major:)
- On that note ^, a great hack for people applying as a CS major is do AI stuff. I personally feel doing AI extra currics is easier that CS so yeah consider that.
- Regarding my gpa, please don’t think your gpa is a barrier. I know kids who got into same schools for CS with non 4.0s. Ik kids with multiple Bs or even Cs who got into great schools (the schools i listed, cal, ivies). GPA DOES NOT HOLD U BACK, so please apply
- The application process is random. It is always random. So apply to schools (this means safeties and also schools u think r reaches, they might take u when targets don’t). I know so many kids who had nothing but got only Berkeley last second so apply!
- EARLY ACTION HELPS SO MUCH → Ik UIUC this year took like most of their kids EA and way less RD so consider that when applying. I think applying EA helped me a lot.
- SAT vs. ACT - If you’re good at math and bad at english like me I highly recommend taking the ACT I found it far easier
- If you were wondering why I chose UCLA over the other schools that are ranked higher, I don’t want to go to an overly competitive school (UCLA is still competitive tho) and socal seems rlly cool and there’s lots of connections I’d like to make in LA. Their vibes are much more for me than an overly engineering/cs school like Gtech, and I’d like some more diversity. As an in state UCLA is also rlly affordable! All these schools are truly amazing tho.
If you have any questions feel free to dm me I’ll try to respond. Good luck to everyone!

2023.04.02 08:34 EpicYH22 Results of University Undergraduate Research Study- Investigating motivation of gacha gamers [PROMO]
| Tan, Y. H. (2023). “They are just 2D pixels” Understanding the Motivation behind Gacha Gamers [Undergraduate Final Year Project, Nanyang Technological University] Digital Repository of NTU. https://hdl.handle.net/10356/165384 https://preview.redd.it/xnw7oiqfuera1.jpg?width=983&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7b4b95342bfc8ea33d50917bef50d427dca95a15 A few months back, I posted a survey here (and in other gacha subreddits) recruiting participants for my research project. Thank you all that participated and thank you to all the moderators that helped to facilitate the process. (The list of subreddits are listed below). I apologise for the delay for those that indicated interest in the results. The research paper has been completed and has been uploaded onto the Digital Repository of NTU. Alternatively for those who are unable to access it, I have collated the results onto a Google Drive. A summary of the results: - Studies suggest video games create an “alternative social outlet” (Kowert et al., 2015, p.56) for those who feel stereotyped (e.g., Shen & Williams, 2011; Kowert & Oldmeadow, 2015). However, Study 1 found that gacha gamers are neither stereotyped nor prejudiced, suggesting that the role of gacha games is not of escapism, but a common avenue for them to interact with others (Przybylski et al., 2010; Britt & Britt, 2021; Yee & Sng, 2022).
- Study 2 (this is the one where I recruited participants from the subreddit) took a quantitative approach to investigate the motivation of gacha gamers. Study 2 found that gacha games help to satisfy the three basic needs: autonomy, competence, and relatedness (Deci & Ryan, 2000). Study 2 also found that the parasocial connection formed with in-game characters and the social bonds formed with others play an important role in satisfying the gamers’ need for relatedness. Study 2 also investigates the influence of the rolling mechanics of gacha games on player motivation. Contrary to previous suggestions (King & Delfabbro, 2018; McCaffrey, 2019), players are generally not motivated by the rolling mechanics of gacha games.
- Study 3 took a qualitative approach to investigate the motivation of gacha gamers. Similar to Study 2, Study 3 found that playing gacha games help to satisfy the three innate needs (Deci & Ryan, 2000). While the excitement of rolling was mentioned as a reason for play, like Study 2, participants are generally not motivated by the rolling mechanics as they will drop the game if they feel the system is unfair. Study 3 also found other factors such as narrative engagement and convenience that would influence gaming motivation.
But of course there are a few limitations to all the studies and the results. So while it provided further insight into the motivation of gacha gamers, please do not treat the results as absolute. Social Sciences research often require further studies and replication to help support the results in this study. I just hope that these results can help to provide additional research into gacha. If you have any questions regarding the research, feel free to comment below or message me. I will try to answer them to the best of my abilities. Also, feel free to share the post and the paper. Some questions you might have: - Why is [insert gacha game] not in the list? Firstly I filtered out those that were EOS or had announced they are going to EOS (at the time of data collection). Afterwards, I seek permission from the various moderators to post on the subreddit. So if [insert gacha game] is not in the list, it could be due to no approval or no response from the moderators.
- But the results do not fit my general style of play? Yes, the results in this study are general results so it might differ from individuals. I tried to look at individual gaming experiences in Study 3, but of course there are limitations since I only focus on university undergraduates. Would require further studies to look at different individuals.
- What if some gaming company exploit your results? All research can be used for either good or bad. We can't predict how our results will used. Personally, I hope the results of this paper can help provide the foundation for future research into gacha and help those with gacha addiction, but of course I cannot control how my results will be used.
- Do your supervisors play gacha? The answer is no. They only heard a bit about gacha, so I actually had to introduce anime culture and gacha games to them. And yes I brought up waifu and husbando culture to them.
- How long did it take you to research? Each study took about a month to collect the data and analyse them. However the overall process, including literature review, preparation of surveys and interviews, ethics approval, writing of paper, took about a year.

Letters of Recommendation Math teacher, 8/10, had him for three classes, TAed for him but wasn’t super close
Econ teacher, 7/10, had her for US History + AP Econ, talked in class but wasn’t that close
Professor of research, 8~9/10, made my mentor (his student) write the letter and showed my dad and according to my dad it was pretty strong
Side note: initially I wanted my French teacher to write me a letter but she retired…
Interviews UPenn: 8/10; online; he was nice but I stuttered a bit on a question about my research...
MIT: 8/10; in person; I had a 45-minute chat with her and I learned a bunch about life, workplaces, and obviously MIT lol. I knew I had a 0 chance of getting into MIT but honestly the application fee was worth it with the amazing convo :)
Rice: 9/10; online; I loved my interviewer! She’s a graduate student at UCLA, and she’s super nice :) we had similar backgrounds so we can relate to each others’ experiences
Duke: 7/10; online; my interviewer looked very strict haha, but she was probably paying attention to what I was saying instead of controlling her facial expressions
Essays CA (7/10): wrote about founding my organization and how I tried to spread love of math; wasn’t outstanding; I really wanted to do something creative but my counselor wanted me to play it safe and wanted me to show some “achievements”

UCLA (THANK YOU UCLA YOU’RE MY LIFE SAVIOR)
UC Riverside (my only safety lol)
UC Santa Barbara
(erm I also applied to University of Cambridge, the one in the UK, for fun and got in)
Waitlists: CMU (RD) (still on WL)
NYU (RD) (declined WL)
UC Berkeley (declined WL)
UC Irvine (declined WL)
UCSD (declined WL)
Rejections: UPenn (ED deferred → Rejected)
Brown (RD)
Caltech (RD)
Columbia (RD)
Cornell (RD)
Dartmouth (RD)
Duke (RD)
JHU (RD)
MIT (RD)
Northwestern (RD)
Pomona (RD)
Rice (RD)
UChicago (EA rejected)
UMich (RD)
USC (EA deferred → Rejected)
Currently debating between Cambridge and UCLA lol; Cambridge has a super strong math program (ranked so highly worldwide) and only three years of college but UCLA is also super good with the sunny weather and in-state tuition… my parents are willing to pay for either one so…
I think the main problem with my application is my GPA; it's way too low for schools' liking. I shouldn't have trolled during my sophomore year--honestly I don't think I even tried-hard in high school in any year besides my freshman year--but I'll take the consequences. Once again I thank the UCs for not rejecting me and UCLA for finding value in me.
Hope this post entertains or helps you!

2023.04.02 07:01 FunBBCoinBank Supplement Sunday
Welcome to the steroid Sunday discussion. Please follow the rules, and be kind. If you see any hatred, arguing, etc. Please report the comment so it can be removed. If you do not agree with this post, do not participate. It is that simple.
- NO SOURCE TALK. This is very important for a variety of what we hope are obvious reasons.
- NO FIGHTING. Arguing and ridiculing others will only get your comment deleted. Constructive criticism only. Post anything that is on topic. This involves how cycles change close to competition prep, what has worked for you in the past, before/after cycle pictures, dietary changes with different compounds, etc.
- Questions are allowed, but should be limited. steroids has a specific thread just for new comers, where you can get amazing answers from some of the most knowledgeable people. Lab talk is alright, but remember how to get a particular lab's product would be prohibited source talk.
- We hope everybody enjoys this thread Thanks to the steroids community to help make this work. They have been a huge help and will be chiming in on this post.

2023.04.02 07:00 2FLYFISH0 Juggernaut ai
https://www.reddit.com/powerlifting/comments/10c11e7/finished_8_weeks_of_ai_20/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf This is the original post. I started ai and completed 8 weeks of the program before continuing the program prior to my first meet.
After another 3 months here's what I performed in competition. Attempt 1 , 2, 3 Squat 290 (all whites), 295 ( reds), 295(whites) Goal was 300 but I played it safe. I hit 300 in the gym a week prior.
Bench 190(all white), 195(2 red), 195( whites)
Aiming for 200 but missed that. I again did 195 in the gym prior during the last phase.
Dead lift 335 (all white), 340(white) 350(white)
Deadlifts were solid! I was frankly nervous my grip would not tolerate the heavier weights but it turned out favorable.
Starting stats to now Bw 149. Bw 155 Squat 280x1. 285x2 rpe 8.5ish
Bench 175x1. 190x2 rpe 9.0
Deadlift 300x2. 310x4 rpe 8.5 330x1 rpe 9.5
Not bad progress for myself besides squats struggling. I may try to gym or squat and bench again to see if I can hit the numbers I intended. Had fun at my first meet and unsure if I should continue again with juggernaut or move on to try SBS average to savage rtf.

2023.04.02 06:55 MasterScrat New dreamlook.ai update: caption support, longer runs, 5 free runs during the weekend
Hello everyone
What's dreamlook.ai? - "Dreambooth as a Service": you upload your images, we train the model, you get a link to the checkpoint
- Launched in March with da_mulle: launch post
- We're FAST: train 1'200 steps in ~3 minutes!
What's new? - Support for image captions
- Can now train up to 20k steps on up to 200 images
- 3 new bases models: Realistic Vision V2.0, Protogen v2.2, Anything V3
- 5 free runs for ALL users until the end of the weekend!
In more details...
Support for captions You can now upload a JSON caption file instead of training on a single instance prompt.
Sample format:
{ "myimage0001.jpeg": "ukj soda bottle on a wooden table in warm afternoon lighting, pine trees in the background", "myimage0002.jpeg": "two ukj soda bottles next to a tropical waterfall", ... }
You can also give a list of strings to provide multiple captions per image. If some images don't have any caption, then the instance prompt is used as fallback.
Longer training runs We have increased the max numbers of images from 100 to 200, and the max number of training steps from 10k to 20k.
We had to update the pricing a bit: runs now cost 1 token per 5k steps. This allows us to keep competitive prices for most users (>85% of run are under 5k steps) while making longer runs possible.
Since this halves the maximum number of steps that can be trained per token, we have doubled the balance of all existing users.
3 new base models We are granting 5 temporary tokens to ALL users until the end of the weekend so everyone can try it out! submitted by

2023.04.02 06:35 canfi1 State of names in the game
Hey guys, I'm playing on and off for 15 years and the game's name situation...went from funny to just simply a competition to "who has the most offensive/worst name?"
We started with a very cum-heavy naming theme, but from funny names like
"Cum on Jad"
we went to names like
"JuicyPunanny"
"Ingrownpenis"
"Looking4clit"
"Ligma Sachs"
"Transn****r"
and so on...
I feel like I want to play at least somewhat of an immersive onlinegame and when I have "ingrownpenis" tell me to kill myself because I prayed protect from melee while he wanted to pk me for 15k...
The scenarios are fictional, the persons did not write such things, but the names are actually just from what I've seen from the last 10 minutes ingame...
I know the majoriy of the community isn't in the PG13 age anymore, but I don't want it to be a competition for offensive names and I don't wanna be reporting every 45 sec either...

2023.04.02 06:27 EmiKoizuwumi Emi's Daily Pokemon Ranking! Day 0,225: Delibird!!!
My Archived Doc Last Post Toad's Archived Doc Day 0,225: DELIBIRD!!!
Oh my gosh I've been LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS ENTRY FOR SO LONG!!
Delibird!! THE DELIBIRD!!!
THE LITERAL BEST POKEMON
EVER!!
Like -- Have you ever seen this thing? It's absolutely amazing in every way imaginable! Like, competitively? A literal god. Aesthetically? It's perfect. No Pokemon beats it. No Pokemon can even TRY to beat it!
Game Freak really hit its peak with this design. Should have just hung up their coats because nothing can beat this masterpiece.
This god like Pokemon is in the
S+ Rank, obviously. Who could put it in anything else??? Absolutely flawless
\chefs kiss**
I actually beat an entire ORAS Nuzlocke with Delibird along. It one shot all of Cynthia's team.
Perfection.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope you enjoyed my ramblings! I would say let me know what you think of Delibird but like -- What can you even say? It's amazing.
See ya tomorrow!

Sunday Night Lucky Guess Question:
How fast will be the fastest batted ball to the tenth place (Exit Ball Velocity)? (per the Baseball Savant)
First point for guessing the speed correctly in MPH. If no one guesses it correctly, it will be the three closest guesses. A bonus point if you guess the correct speed and for the player that bats the ball.

2023.04.02 06:08 Bluefunk27 32 [M4F] Texas/Arizona - Are you really into music and long form convo?
Hey my name is Brandon. I have social anxiety but can conversate despite this list style post.
Here’s some things I’m into:
-music, I play piano or keyboard and learning electric guitar. I’m into music production. Some fav genres are r&b, indie, Kpop, and recently midwestern emo to match my angsty
face - video games, I’ve played way too many games in my lifetime so I’m pretty good at them. Like fps mostly. I have been having fun with Fortnite no build mode lately cause it’s chill. I have many hours in apex legends and can carry. Oh and I’m on Xbox
-I also use the great ganja and love having random conversations about anything and everything
-I’m pretty short, I say this because I’d rather beat you to the chase before being surprised after finding out. Talking like 5’6 short. People are always surprised by my age too since I look young af. I'm definitely a stuble guy these days cause of that.
I’m looking for people in Texas or Arizona, only because the latter is somewhere I could see myself moving to if you were really cool :^) Currently in San Antonio, Texas.
