Hi everyone!
Been suffering with IBS for many years up and down normally not as bad as a lot of people on here but, at the start of this year I had my worst ever 6 week period and lost about 10kgs.
Then suddenly, I was great (better than ive been in ~10years), and have been for about 4 weeks. I thought maybe I'd beaten some underlying cause as the doctors tried me on some antibiotics just before I got better.
Then today, the familiar stomach cramp and need to go to the toilet immediately. I sense an opportunity though, as ive eaten a very consistent diet for the last few days, including 2 cadburys mini egg easter eggs that family dropped over with absolutely no issues. The flare up occurred about 20 minutes after then eating a cadburys flake? So I've been trying to find if there's any difference in the ingredients between mini eggs and flakes that might have caused it (like an e number?) But struggling to find exhaustive lists of ingredients for products, except for supermarket listing which I'm not sure if they would have everything listed. Is there a regulated resource somewhere that lists everything?

With the start of the Eras Tour and Taylor being LOUDD on tour, I have Unboxed some of my thoughts about her possibly coming out and/or Karma (Taylor’s Version) being released after tour.
Firstly, I loved the big surprise opening being MA&THBP, I was certainly not expecting that. But, I think “it’s been a long time coming” as an opening line was Sweet!
With all of the discourse around opening weekend and the undeniable Flags she was sending, I wanted to try to piece some of the puzzle together, figured it was Worth the Shot.
Disclaimer- I know many people don’t believe she will explicitly come out and she obviously does not owe an explanation to anyone, but personally I think she does really want to be open and honest, and has been wanting to/ planning her escape from the glass closet for years.
1- Eras feeling like a finale in a sense-
- Everyone has been talking about how this feels like an ending of some sort. Of course the hetlors all believe it means that she will be taking a break to get married and have kids because they missed the Lavender Haze line apparently. In our Gaylor perspective I think it wraps up nicely as a celebration of all of her previous eras, even if she was forced to closet and partake in PR relationships. - I think she has made it clear that she’s in a headspace right now where she just loves creating so I certainly don’t see this as being some kind of retirement from all creative projects. But, this wrap up could be the perfect lead in to a completely rebranded version of herself. Beautifully pulling all of her eras together to leave them behind and come out to live authentically, and hoping her fans will follow into this new era, all while simultaneously wrapping up as a goodbye to the fans that don’t continue to support her. With how large this tour is, and her predictably becoming a billionaire, it also pads her pockets to counteract the possibility of her losing sales in the future, and ensure her entire team remains employed.
2- Burning down the lover house-
- This brings us to the symbolism of burning down the lover house. And just in case you missed it the first time, she burns the house down twice. She is lighting her past on fire to burn down how she had previously represented herself when she was forced to stay in the closet. I think her burning it twice represents the previous times she has tried to come out (once with Karma as TS6 but was scrapped by her label, second time in the Lover era but foiled by the masters heist). (“I was so ahead of the curve, the curve became a sphere”) - BUT, I still find it interesting how we can see into the entire house except for behind the door. So there is still a part of this Lover House we have yet to see, what could that be? Personally, I think this represents the Karma album/era that we did not get to experience with her, it happened ‘behind closed doors’. This leads us to the tour production for Karma, the screen has a door floating down behind her, because Karma is still hidden behind the closed door. Once the door reaches the bottom is turns into a bright ball of light, ultimately leading to rainbow colouring.
3- Karma finale on tour-
- This brings us to the Karma finale. I would think that if Taylor was going to take a break, she would end the concert with Long Live even if we do not have Taylor’s Version yet. Instead she opts to close out the Eras Tour with Karma. Yes, I’ll repeat “close the eras tour with Karma”. Not just on a nightly basis, but I think she will close out the eras tour by releasing Karma. I already still believed that her 11th album would be Karma, even after her announcing it is a song “instead”. I mean after all, Karma was written twice on The Man Wall.
4- Karma TS11 proof-
- Aside from The Man Wall, the most obvious proof would be that Karma is track 11 on Midnights. Also, she sings “Karma is a cat” - Then, in the Anti-Hero MV in the funeral scene, her portrait shows her with 11 cats, one for each album 1-10 +one cat is Karma. On tour she also made it clear she views her albums as kids with the way she mentioned that there were new additions to the family, being Lover - Midnights albums. Then, at the end of the Anti-Hero MV we see the two Taylor’s on the roof (which I believe is the two versions we see in her music, one who values her reputation so wishes to “hide in plain sight” and the other who values love and wishes to live authentic to herself and her love), but then we see the giant Taylor walk up to them wearing… the same shirt that she wore when she announced Karma as track 11 in MMWM. I think this Taylor is giant because of the huge reaction that a coming out album would receive, she is the biggest superstar in the world and this would be a huge album drawing a ton of attention, thus the giant-ness of her portrayal. - Bringing this back to the lover house, the long skinny ORANGE windows on each side of the door literally look like a big 11, meaning album 11 will allow for us to see behind the door. - We know the famous line of this Midnights era is “meet me at midnight”, and on The Man Wall, Karma is at the 12:00 position if viewed as a clock “it’s a clock, she’s a clock”, so maybe that’s the midnight where we truly meet her. Possibly after all the remaining re-recordings, or possibly like Midnight’s as a pit stop between them. - Back to tour though (I know I’m all over the place) the LWYMMD production sees ALL of her previous eras in glass closets, not only the stolen ones, so it’s not directed at the stolen masters. I see this as her saying that all of these eras have been glass closeting, but as she says “why? Because she’s dead” they all get released from their glass closet. So, when she burns the Lover house down and comes out, she will have “killed off” the old Taylor and be reborn into a new era where there won’t be any need for this glass closeting any more. But, I also thinks it’s worth noting the transition from Don’t Blame Me to LWYMMD, I think “don’t blame me for what you made me do” is very much directed at the people who forced her into the closet. But there are many other visuals that depict her hiding in closets in the production as well though, like in Lavender Haze.
5- Karma release-
- Now just for fun let’s speculate a possible release date for Karma. Being that Taylor likes to leave big Easter eggs right in front of us, and Karma always seems to come back to the number 11, I thought it could be possible she releases it on an 11th. She announced Karma and gave us her little giggle in episode 8 of MMWM. So I checked, and Aug 11th IS A FRIDAY. Not only that, it is the very first Friday after the US leg of tour is completed. - Although realistically she would not likely come out after the US shows and then move on to International, who really knows we haven’t gotten international dates yet anyways so might as well clown for now haha but the dates lined up too well for me not to include. - PS Taylor please give International dates soon I do not want to MISS THIS.
With all of this in mind, this could possibly be the last full international tour she ever does. With how big this tour is, the production, the duration, everything, it could be her final tour. Her coming out would result in her shows being possible targets for homophobic attacks so in the interest of her fans safety I could see her keeping to smaller shows and performances rather than a huge tour going forward in the future. But then again she continues to top herself and has highlighted that she is Uncontrollable, so who knows.
Personally, I think (hope) we will receive Karma (pop-rock) and that album will be undeniably gay and she will finally be free from her glass closeting and PR relationships. Whatever happens, I am extremely excited to see!

Alright so this took place over a decade ago, but my dad still brings it up as the main reason his marriagen ended. So for some backstory my bio mom and dad got divorced when I was 12 and my dad remarried when I was 15.
The woman my dad married a young son when they got married, and I got diagnosed with cancer about three months after their wedding, which is part of the reason I was so emotional during this time. But anyways I was in the hospital receiving chemo one weekend and after a week long stay in the hospital I came home to see my dads wifes young son with the blanket that my aunt had made specifically for me years before, this upset me because I hadn't given my dad permission to give this blanket away, and I had a younger bio sister who I wanted to give the blanket to.
So long story short my dad and I went back and forth on this for weeks because I wanted the blanket back because it was sentimental to me, and this caused world war three, my step brother admittedly loved that blanket, but I wanted it back t because I felt like I should make the decision on who got the blanket. Eventually my dads wife barged into my room when I was taking a nap and loudly threw it at me saying "I hope you're happy".
The reason I feel I may be the asshole is for ending my dads marriage because tensions were high for the rest of their marriage, and because admittedly the blanket wasn't being used when my dad gave it away and I did make a little boy very sad, which I felt so bad about, I ended up giving the blanket to my younger sister and she loved it, up until a couple years ago when she gave it to my younger brother who has autism, and man does he love that blanket, but in the moment looking back not knowing what I know now that I might likely be the asshole in this story, plus when I recently recalled this story to my sister (not the one mentioned in this post) she did say I behaved like an asshole for not just letting it go and making a mountain out of a mole hill.
ETA: I don't know if this makes a difference but just to clarify the reason the blanket meant so much to me, hbecause my aunt made it from scratch when I was one year old and put all of my favorite characters from blues clues on it, which is why my dad felt I was an asshole for asking for it back, because I had outgrown that show by the time I got it back

Does anybody have any intel?

Last month I bought 2 polar blue parrots, one male and one female, and they were doing fine, eating, sleeping and swimming together. Last week I went on vacation and when I came back, the female was at the little cave of the tank (which was previously where both of them would hang out) and she would scare away the male every time he got near. Do they don't love each other anymore? Or maybe she layed eggs and I'm just overthinking?

I am hoping someone more knowledgeable than myself can shed some light on an experience I had. I want to understand the "system" involved in what I saw. A few years ago I was training to be a hypnotherapist. My goal was to conduct a bunch of past life regressions on new agers and get paid for it. I didn't want to get involved with a client coming back to me for multiple visits when heaven forbid I might be able to help them. It was all very superficial for me and meditation and hypnosis always had my interest.
The 500 hour course was grueling. It was half online and then after each module was finished I would have to meet up at this school/office complex to practice what I learned and to observe techniques. The owneteacher was a very greedy and exploitative man. I didn't like him in the least but I wanted to learn. Besides learning hypnosis techniques he did a lot of guided meditations to us and also hypnotism sessions. During one of the in person classes , the teacher was teaching in front of us. I think we just came out of a guided meditation and I was in a light trance. I now think of this as the second attention. I observe the teacher has a large black outlined form behind him. It is a human shape but no human characteristics like eyes, mouth, hair etc. The form is filled with a brown color like someone used a stamper and swirled the stamp ink through out the human form. It formed out of the back of him, it surrounded him. Head shape, arms, torso etc When he gestured his arm, it gestured at the same exact time. I look around and nobody else sees this. I watch the teacher as he moves towards a student sitting up front. I think that now since his "aura/energy body" is visible to me by proximity I will see hers. No, this was not the case. I watched the form's arm go very close to this woman student and it had a definite boundary. The brown color was contained inside of a black colored boundary. Ok, the course is grueling to me. I had an abusive childhood and it is being dragged to the forefront of my consciousness. I decided to be my own client and help myself. I could no longer escape my memories or thoughts.The next module was age regression hypnosis. Since I had no love for this teacher, I decided to pay a mentor to critique me on age regression hypnosis. This was a mentor I trusted and she was also my hypnotherapist for the duration of the course. I had to bring in my own client (family member) and go through the whole age regression protocol to pass the module. We were allowed to look at notes and we had to take notes on what our client said. However, it was suggested we get into a light trance ourselves so we can "impart information to our client." From where this information came from was not specified. I find staying in a light trance peaceful and do it with ease when I am lulled by the montone hypnospeak of my own voice and deep breathing. As I am speaking with my client, I see a white light forming over him. It looks like a jail cell , a grid. I am surprised but I keep my cool. The cell of white light goes down to his torso and lays over his body but not touching it. Probably a couple of inches over it. He is lying down. Where his chest is there is a face. It is made of the same white light. It has slit like eyes and it is pushing through the grid of light. It is struggling. Do you know those halloween decorations where you see a creepy face pushing through a white wall or a shower curtain? It was like that. It was staring at me. I felt sorry for it. My vocabulary at the time gave me energy fragment. But I have since read about Genaro and the waterfall. I also think of giving birth despite my client being male. I look over at my mentor. She now has the form of the human outline in back if her. Just like the teacher had yet hers is different. Her form is filled with greens and blue colors. They are moving and beautiful. It is not fully closed, there is an opening on it's right shoulder where the colors are pouring in from mid air. It reminded me of old photoshop paint bucket . My client is really under distress and very uncomfortable. I tell my mentor that I can see her aura she asks what it looks like and I tell her. She basks under this description. Now, I could not see any white lights coming from her nor could I see this form behind my supine client. Only his lighted jail cell and this poor face struggling to get through. Ok, I have read a few CC books and I have read many links on this subreddit. In fact as a gift, I have received all of the books and I have been making my way through them. Plus I read the two Taisha books. Carlos didn't know what an aura was, if I remember one of the links I read. I admit this experience motivates me to keep reading and practicing. I do recapitulation daily even though it can be an emotional nightmare. I sometimes combine it with hypnosis since I can bring up some very early people. I have a black out eye mask and I practice dark room. I also do some light tensegrity moves. After reading one of the books I decided that what I see is for me. I don't have to "help" my client due to this struggling face coming out of his chest. But I want to know what I saw. I think both the grid of light and the form of the body are connected. They are part of the person. Was my mentor and teacher making a shield for themselves? They weren't aware of this form themselves. I have been confused about the face. I thought for a time it could be his double but I have discounted that, I thought the aura was an energy body then I thought it might be part of the egg but I think I am incorrect on all accounts. Why was my mentors right shoulder of her form open when my creepy teacher's form was closed. Where do these colors come from? So, can someone please give me their input on what I saw? I have other experiences to keep up my motivation. I just would like some clarity on this. Thank you

"What if the foreign religion is bad?"

An idea I often see shared within the fandom is "what if the gods are real, but they are evil?" I often see this suggested about the Old Gods, but even more often with R'hllor.
After all, look at Melisandre! Her magic is real yet her beliefs are abhorrent, which means her god must be real and also abhorrent. It makes perfect sense that the queer foreign religion in the east would be evil. Look how foreign it is! So Mel must represent every practitioner of her religion, which unlike the diverse and free thinking people of the west, is monolithic and cult like. Stannis is a righteous man being corrupted by an inherently evil faith. Volantis might seem headed for a slave uprising, but really the Red Priests are tricking the slaves into worshiping an evil god that is going to consume them all. They're probably better off as slaves right? right???
Hopefully you see the issue here.
Though the belief system of the religion of R'hllor is based on Zoroastrianism, it's perception in and relationship to Westeros is more akin to how the west has historically viewed political Islam. An adversarial religion that worships a false, demonic god, and which is completely antithetical to Westeron ideals. The idea being that R'hllor is an evil god isn't a clever twist planted for the careful reader, it's what Davos literally believes. It's a commentary on western anxiety towards Islam.
I can assure you, George is not playing this trope straight. The religion of R'hllor is not uniquely good or evil, and R'hllor is not secretly the villain of Westeros.

"Only worshipers of R'hllor do child sacrifice"

The question of human sacrifice in the Stannis storyline isn't intended to show that this eastern religion GRRM made up for the story is uniquely evil. Nor that Melisandre's foreign ideology exists in absolute contrast to the more humane, enlightened perspectives of the Westerosi. The point is to show that it isn't that different at all.
Melisandre believes in sacrificing innocent children for a greater good. But guess what? So does Tywin. So does Robert. So does Cersei. So does the Shavepate. So will Stannis. At least for Melisandre her perceived "greater good" is saving the world from endless darkness. Can we really say Tywin, Robert, and Cersei were so noble in their intentions?
The point here isn't to say that Melisandre is good or that I agree with her. Mel is a commentary on fundamentalism and self deception, and I think what she proposes is abhorrent. But her mistakes do not define her entire religion, nor can they be blamed on an external deity. That's not to say that her religion is good, or that R'hllor is or isn't real, just that these questions are besides the point and will thus likely never receive an answer.

"Still though, what if the gods are evil?"

Due to the rich history, mysteries, and Easter eggs laid out in the world books, this idea that GRRM is going for Lovecraft meets Steven King cosmology is a somewhat popular one in the fandom, especially since the Forsaken chapter.
After all, the Old Gods are in some sense "real" (though they are less of gods and more so a form of power and memory that exists in the weirwood trees). The Others are clearly real. So why shouldn't R'hllor be real, or at least based on something real?
Maybe there are real gods in the story, but GRRM will never confirm it. Maybe there is an artificially alive puppetmaster pretending to be a god and hiding out in Asshai or Stygai and sending visions through the flames, but if so we'll probably never meet them. The point of this post isn't really to answer that question because I don't think it matters.
But I certainly don't think the answer is anything so straightforward as the "foreign gods are demons and pagan religions are death cults." Power is neither good nor evil, and power in sacrifice doesn't have to be evidence of an evil deity so much as it is a reflection of the real world. Progress often requires sacrifice. Great advancements are built on the back of human suffering. We give things up to gain other things and then wonder if what we gained was worth what we had to give up.

What if we're right? What if we're wrong?

To throw in a little theory with my analysis, here is where I think this is all headed as a storyline.
In TWOW, Daenerys is going to go to Volantis, which has a slave to freedman ratio of 5:1. There she will spark a bloody slave revolt that will bring death to the Old Blood of Volantis behind the Black Walls. The gods of Old Valyria will be cast down, and the religion of R'hllor will rise to dominate the city, with Daenerys being hailed by the Red Temple as their messiah. That's not to say that Daenerys will become a follower of R'hllor, but she will accept the title of Azor Ahai, and the warrior of light will prepare herself to save Westeros from the darkness.
In Westeros, the Long Night will come, seemingly proving Melisandre's beliefs about Azor Ahai, the the Lord of Light, the Great Other, and the War for the Dawn to be correct (though she has the wrong Azor Ahai). Shireen will be burned, but it won't help. The (perhaps multiple) Azor Ahais will fight heroically against the Others, but the war will be catastrophic and Azor Ahai will lose.
^{Then Bran changes the timeline so that Long Night never comes (yes this is how it goes down.})
In the new timeline, the Long Night never comes, seemingly proving all of Melisandre's beliefs about Azor Ahai, the Lord of Light, the Great Other, and the War for the Dawn to be wrong. Now, instead of being a necessary hero against the great darkness, being Azor Ahai is a delusion of grandeur.
Melisandre's story isn't something so straightforward as "foreign fundamentalism is bad." It's a question. What if our beliefs right? but also what if they are wrong?

Hello, my friends! My name is Alex. I've run this campaign twice before and I'm pretty excited to see what kind of wackiness we can get up to this time around! This will be an above average experience if I can help it and I hope to make tons of friends along the way! If you're into roleplaying, jokes, subversion of expectation, mystery, whimsy, or simply "clownin' around", if you like Dimension 20 or anything Brennan Lee Mulligan or Emily Axford does, or if you're looking for a D&D game with a mix of goofy, weird, stupid, and serious with a splash of storytelling pizzazz, then this is the game for you!!!I recognize that this is supposed to be an overall serious campaign, and it is, don't get me wrong! But I'm a pretty wacky guy and this game will lean less on the harsh atmosphere and more into the interconnected story threads, personal plots if they arise, and the fear that something more powerful than you could be hiding around any corner. Utilizing Foundry VTT, I've been able to enhance the adventure with musical themes and sound effects for most scenes, automation, and animations for tons of spells, quest tracking, and several leveled maps with dynamically changing walls, lighting, and 3d vision calculations!
Let me tell you a bit about myself, though...
I come from a writing, directing, and video production background and have been putting these skills to good use at my digital gaming table for over 3 years now. I'm hoping I can apply the skills I'm good at to provide an above average experience to new and experienced players alike. I love to get into character and on top of accents here and there, I have my video feed switch to show images of significant NPCs when possible, not to mention all the music I have picked out for each unique encounter. I spend time picking from backstories and integrating fun easter eggs/story content for each player.
Overall, I'm a goofy guy, looking to land a joke whenever possible, but I have a knack for narrative thread and always set out to weave an interesting tale.

Game Details and Extras

• Open to players of all experience levels.
• I lean heavily on the concept of "yes, and..." I like to go with the flow of what you're putting down and tend not to "no, but..." unless it conflicts with existing world elements...
• I'll work with you outside (and inside) of the game to build a character that fits into the setting and story line. I like to spread bits of information out across players so they can roleplay to put them together.
• Character creation will be done on dndbeyond and you will have access to a vast majority of the sourcebook bundle to choose from, as far as races and classes go, for as long as you remain in the game.
• Previous games have been 60/40 roleplay/combat with the potential swings in either direction depending on the chapter, but the ending chapters do lean into combat much more.
• Although I'll be running the main essence of the module, I'll be adapting bits as necessary to help with story flow, mystery, and suspense, as well as incorporating character backstory here and there.
• We will be running the official Rime of the Frostmaiden module with all the included maps and artwork (that I've digitally enhanced), including a number of extra maps and NPC art I've collected or created personally. All of these with dynamic lighting effects and.
• A number of maps have been expanded utilizing Forgotten Adventures beautiful assets.
• Due to the voice and video content, our game will be played with voice and video through discord. Please have a decent microphone.
• We will be using Foundry VTT for play, but you will still create characters in dndbeyond to be imported over. Foundry has outdone Roll20 in my opinion and has a large number of modules to help with combat automation, attack animations, music, sound effects, lighting effects, time tracking, etc. Additionally, there are a number of per-user settings you can customize such as choosing your own on screen 3d dice, picking animations for the summoning of your various beast or familiars, turning down the music, etc
• I have collected a large number of sound effects, music, and ambiences that I incorporate into each scene. I like to hand pick songs to accompany each unique encounter, with variations depending on possible outcomes.
• I try to change my voice to imitate various monsters and NPCs and utilize imagery in my webcam for all significant characters who have art in the book.
• Foundry has the potential to be processor intensive and a decent computer is recommended, but there are settings that can be lowered to allow for some lower end machines.
• Sessions are streamed live on Twitch and then archived on YouTube.
• $15 per session.

I come from a writing, directing, and video production background and have been putting these skills to good use at my digital gaming table for over 3 years now. I'm hoping I can apply the skills I'm good at to provide an above average experience to new and experienced players alike. I love to get into character and on top of accents here and there, I have my video feed switch to show images of significant NPCs when possible, not to mention all the music I have picked out for each unique encounter. I spend time picking from backstories and integrating fun easter eggs/story content for each player.
Overall, I'm a goofy guy, looking to land a joke whenever possible, but I have a knack for narrative thread and always set out to weave an interesting tale.

Game Details and Extras

• Open to players of all experience levels.
• I lean heavily on the concept of "yes, and..." I like to go with the flow of what you're putting down and tend not to "no, but..." unless it conflicts with existing world elements...
• I'll work with you outside (and inside) of the game to build a character that fits into the setting and story line. I like to spread bits of information out across players so they can roleplay to put them together.
• Character creation will be done on dndbeyond and you will have access to a vast majority of the sourcebook bundle to choose from, as far as races and classes go, for as long as you remain in the game.
• Previous games have been 60/40 roleplay/combat with the potential swings in either direction depending on the chapter, but the ending chapters do lean into combat much more.
• Although I'll be running the main essence of the module, I'll be adapting bits as necessary to help with story flow, mystery, and suspense, as well as incorporating character backstory here and there.
• We will be running the official Rime of the Frostmaiden module with all the included maps and artwork (that I've digitally enhanced), including a number of extra maps and NPC art I've collected or created personally. All of these with dynamic lighting effects and.
• A number of maps have been expanded utilizing Forgotten Adventures beautiful assets.
• Due to the voice and video content, our game will be played with voice and video through discord. Please have a decent microphone.
• We will be using Foundry VTT for play, but you will still create characters in dndbeyond to be imported over. Foundry has outdone Roll20 in my opinion and has a large number of modules to help with combat automation, attack animations, music, sound effects, lighting effects, time tracking, etc. Additionally, there are a number of per-user settings you can customize such as choosing your own on screen 3d dice, picking animations for the summoning of your various beast or familiars, turning down the music, etc
• I have collected a large number of sound effects, music, and ambiences that I incorporate into each scene. I like to hand pick songs to accompany each unique encounter, with variations depending on possible outcomes.
• I try to change my voice to imitate various monsters and NPCs and utilize imagery in my webcam for all significant characters who have art in the book.
• Foundry has the potential to be processor intensive and a decent computer is recommended, but there are settings that can be lowered to allow for some lower end machines.
• Sessions are streamed live on Twitch and then archived on YouTube.
• $15 per session.
