2022.10.01 17:40 Dubtee48 WAAAKKEEEEE UPPPPPP(from your naps)! IT’S GAMEDAYYYYYY!!!

That international break seemed to take forever despite the friendly, and it’s a rainy and sleepy Saturday, but our boys in blue are back in action today in Charlotte for the first time ever at 5:30(5:38 kickoff)!! Last meeting in April saw the Union win 2-0 in Chester. The stakes in this one will be much higher: -Union can clinch the #1 seed in the East if they win or Montreal lose or draw -Union race for the Supporters Shield with LAFC -Charlotte can be eliminated from the playoffs with a loss today and either a Miami or Columbus win.
Some game notes:
-Looks like the weather should be pretty fair at game time: Cloudy, light winds, 65 degrees.
-Charlotte has the 2nd most wins at home in the East(behind the Union of course)
-Bedoya is back in training but will be a game time decision
-Derrick Jones, former Union homegrown, now playing for Charlotte
-Potentially JP Dellacamera’s last call on PHL17 given the chance the Unions game next Sunday could be pushed to national TV
Seems like there’s a decent amount of Union supporters going! Also seems like people are trying to get together at various watch parties in the Philadelphia area. If you’re going to the match or going to/looking for a watch party let us know in the chat along with your predictions!

Our boys in blue take on Orlando City tonight at 7:30(7:38 kickoff) in front of another sold out crowd at Subaru Park! If you’re going to the game download the app “Union lights” to participate in the light show for Kick Childhood Cancer night, more details on the Union socials.
How to watch/listen: PHL17, ESPN+, for those blacked out on ESPN+, listen on foxsports the gambler.
Great storylines to watch for this match:
Orlando is coming off their win on Wednesday which crowned them US Open Cup Champions, and also have won their last 4 mls matches. They’re in a tight race to make the playoffs and possibly host a playoff match. Will they be tired after playing on Wednesday, or will they be determined to put up a fight to keep their playoff hopes and dreams alive??
The Union are pushing for the Supporters’ Shield against LAFC, who play tonight at 830.
Can Gazdag continue his run for MVP?!
That goal differential!!
What will Jim wear?!
It’s Phangs birthday!!!

HOT DAMN ITS GAME DAY! In just ten and a half hours ill be ready on the couch, soccer on the telly, pizza in the box, and beer in hand. I'm still buzzing off that victory against NYCFC. First place feels good, actually bagging three points feels great after so many disappointing ties. Lets get hype!
Tonight the Union travel to the windy city to take on DA BEARS Chicago Fire FC. The fire are currently dead last in the race for the supporters shield and are coming off a 2 - 0 loss to the Dynamo on Saturday. Przybylko has been starting up top for the fire and has been struggling to find the back of the net this year, only bagging 3 goals for the season.
The Union, even with all of their draws, have looked like they have been able to string together a decent attack and have been struggling to put away goals they should be in the final third. Hopefully tonight we continue to see them attack well and hopefully the finishing finally comes.

2022.05.18 17:28 frickensweet WAKE UP ITS GAME DAY!

Thats right Union Fans! Were already back to it after just 4 days away from Subaru park. Tonight we are hosting Inter Miami!
After an exciting, albeit disappointing draw against the Red Bulls, the boys in blue are ready for another round. Saturday night we saw the union play up a man for 24 minutes, maintain the majority of possession, and nearly double the amount of shots taken by the redbulls. As exciting as that was, the go ahead goal was unfortunate off sides and we were unable to find the back of the net for the win. We will be without 3 of our best players for this match so our line up and shape might change up for once (or it might look like the open cup match)
Inter Miami also managed to drop their lead on Saturday and finished their match against DC with a 2 - 2 draw.
I'm looking forward to another exciting game tonight and we really need to take 3 points from this one, every time we go up and then drop to a draw it feels a lot like a loss. I don't know about the rest of you but the work day is really going to drag on.

Welcome to Philadelphia Hypnosis Clinic - #1 clinical hypnosis facility in Philadelphia, based on a web survey performed by local TV stations PHL17 and Fox29. It’s not easy to find a good hypnosis service provider because in most states license requirements for hypnosis are not set. You will find tons of websites advertising hypnosis, hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic programming, Life Regression, but… Can you trust these people? Can you allow them to talk to your subconscious and to alter your set of mind? Many composers even promote some made-up “facts' ' that during hypnosis patients remain in self-control and hypnotists are unable to force them to do actions they don’t want to. This is not true and the only reason why some “hypnotists” point it out is because they are either not good enough to take control over the patient's mind or they are afraid to lose a client. I intentionally used a term client instead of patient because I strongly believe in Physician - Patient relationship. If a hypnotist is a physician - he treats patients, otherwise he serves clients. The hypnotism works, because it changes patients’ subconscious mind and instinctive patterns as an alternative to motivate patients with more guidance and instructions. Hello Union Fans! Its been a hot minute since i had time to make one of these. Tonight the Union make the trek up to Harrison New Jersery to face off against the pink cows.
The union are coming off a great win against Atlanta last weekend where Martinez managed to slip through three defenders and pass off to Przybylko who dinked it in just past Guzan. I don't know about you but i love watching the union beat Atlanta. What i love even more than that is watching them beat the red bulls. God damn do i love the "not a rivalry" rivalry match. The redbulls are coming off a win against NYCFC after late first half goal from Fernandez.
The last time we played the Redbulls, freeze made the unfortunate choice to hug one of the redbulls. He got a red card and gave up a penalty for his efforts. The Union manged to pull it back with a great cross from Mbizo to Santos which was headed into the post and in. Lets keep our 11 men on the field this time and grab 3 points on the road.
Lets go union!

2021.06.23 15:28 frickensweet WAKE UP ITS GAME DAY!

GOOD MORNING UNION FANS! In just 11 short hours from this post YOUR PHILADELPHIA UNION will be taking on last years MLS cup champs, the Columbus Crew, in what is the Unions first full capacity game in over 600 days.
Columbus and the Union are on short rest after both playing this past weekend. The Union are returning home after snatching a draw from the jaws of defeat with a rocket from Glesnes in the 93rd minute, a strong contender for Goal of the Year. The game started with a scoreless first half but the union had a few good looks. The second half started with an unfortunate own goal off an ATL corner. Atlanta would grab another off a cross into the box that was followed shortly by Burke cleaning up with a shot off a ball that Guzan couldn't hold onto. Its not easy to leave ATL with points, im happy with a draw.
Columbus are coming off a win at home against the Fire. Zardes opened up the scoring with a shot off the volley after a bad clearance attempt from the fire. Zardes would grab a second goal after a very tight pass that put columbus deep with no defenders. At that point Zardest had a tap in once the ball was passed to him. Now, i only watched the highlights but even having 59% of the possession the fire did not look like they tested Columbus much, especially with 0 shots on target. The Union should be a much better test for Columbus.
This should be a great game. Both teams are playing very well and could really use three points from this one to get a better spot in the table. Our defense continues to look solid, and our midfeild continues to look great.
I don't know about the rest of you but i'm still hyped up from Glesnes's goal in the 93rd minute of the last match to tie up against ATL. Lets bring all of that energy to Suburu park tonight and help the boys grab 3 points!

Match Center

After an iffy start to their MLS campaign, the reigning Supporter's Shield champs look to be rounding back into form with 7 points in 3 games. A date at Audi Field looks like just the right opportunity to make up for lost time and pad the win total heading into the summer. After a two-game absence, Jose Martinez will take the field once more (hopefully having spent a little less time watching WWE re-runs), though Leon Flach has proved himself a phenomenal understudy should El Brujo's style of play land him in trouble once more. Fans are clamoring for newly-eligible Hungarian star Daniel Gazdag to join the lineup, though one would probably expect the newcomer to get minutes off the bench. His addition will be welcomed for a team that's lacked a consistent scoring presence outside of their fantastic Champions League run. Cory Burke has begun the makings of a goalscoring run (2 in 5), and he'll likely be needed to turn that into something more with Kacper looking doubtful. The Union face a D.C team that has been all over the place through May. Hernan Losada's squad can empathize well with the Union's goal woes (only 5 in 6 games). Edison Flores is the man that D.C needs to pick up the slack and reverse what has been a wildly inconsistent start to the season - time will tell if the Peruvian attacker can get this team back on track. The fortunes of these two sides seem to be trending in the opposite direction early on, though a summer to integrate Losada's system could do wonders for Washington. In the meanwhile, this is another one that Philly ought take home as they look to reassert themselves as premier threats in the Eastern Conference. With reinforcements in the midfield coming through and forwards continuing to round into form, the Union should be able to take care of business away from home.

2021.05.12 15:15 frickensweet WAKE UP! ITS GAME DAY!

GOOD MORNING UNION FANS! Today Bruce Arena and the Revs are coming to Chester to face off against our PHILADELPHIA UNION!
The Union are coming off an excellent win against the fire on Saturday afternoon, They kept on the gas and had a lot of great chances with goals coming from Burke and Glesnes in the second half. Blake and the back line kept a clean sheet. A few days before they had a good showing against ATL coming up with a 1 -1 draw. I really like what im seeing from our offense, they are getting into a lot of dangerous spots, they just need to finish.
The Revs are coming off a 2 - 0 loss to Nashville. The revs let a cross in that found the leg of former union player CJ Sapong followed by a goal from Alex Muyl after a bad giveaway from the revs defender. NE had more possession time but only had 4 shots on target.
After 5 matches against them last season and managing to pull a W out in every match except the one that really mattered 6 matches going 4-0-1 in the regular season last year and then losing to them in them in the first round of playoffs, I'm ready to see a little revenge. Both teams are on short weeks and have matches this weekend so it will be interesting to see if their is any rotation in the line ups tonight. The revs games are always interesting, if we can play like we did on saturday I like our chances. LETS GO UNION!

2020.10.28 16:05 frickensweet WAKE UP ITS GAME DAY!

The Union played last saturday against TFC where nothing eventful occurred. Oh sorry, they absolutely demolished TFC winning 5-0. Sergio Santos with the hat trick, some nice headers, beautiful crosses. I must have watched those highlights a dozen times. Tonight hopefully we will see more of that in Subaru park.
The Fire are coming off a 2-2 draw against RBNY where they conceded the draw in extra time. They have been fairly consistent in scoring for their past few games but have had problems keeping balls out of their side of the net. The Fire are right below the playoff line and have a lot to play for tonight. The Union are in the drive seat for the Supporters shield and need to get all the points they can to maintain control of it. Should be a hell of a game tonight!

The Union are coming off a rather disappointing match against TFC where they went into the half leading 1-0 and finished the game down 1-2. Taking Santos and Aaronson off really took the wind out of our sails. After they got the first goal it felt like the Union rarely had the ball. Lets hope they can maintain some possession tonight. Cincinnati are cioming off a 2-0 loss against Minnesota. The last time we played Cinci was an away match where I thought we played well and struggled to find the back of the net which resulted in a 0 - 0 draw.

The eagles can't make me sad untill tomorrow so lets get this weekend off to a good start. The Union finished out last weekend with a convincing 3-0 win against Miami where Fontana managed to get a start and notched another goal. The boys also manged to fluster Miami's newest DP, Gonzalo Higuaín after he took a PK and sent it flying over the cross bar presumably somewhere onto 322. The homegrowns looked hungry at the end of the game for a third goal where Aaronson managed to bag one in the 97th minute. Lets hope we see that drive again tonight.
Toronto is coming off a 3-1 win against Columbus last weekend where a TFC player was responsible for all of the goals. TFC is loss less in their last 4 and have looked pretty decent since crossing the border. They are a good team and will be a test for our side.

The Union are coming of a great 4-1 win on Sunday against The Impact. They let a goal in early off a free kick but really turned the game around when Montreal went down to 10 men after getting a red card due to an elbow to the face. Fontana scored for the second game in a row coming off the bench, I'd love to see him start this one. Cincinnati is coming off a 0-1 win against RBNY thanks to an incredible olimpico for our old pal Haris Medunjanin. Glad to see hes doing well but i hope we don't see that from him tonight. FC Cincinati are very beatable but we have to look a live out there. Lets go Union!

2020.09.20 22:54 frickensweet WAKE UP/ REMAIN AWAKE ITS GAME DAY

I slept in then made myself sad with the Eagles game but looks like we still need this.
The Union look to continue their run of form coming off a 2-1 win against the Revs last weekend. Anthony Fontana had him self a day securing a brace and the win in the 94th minute. The Union have a lot of questions with their line up tonight as they have a lot of players listed as doubtful. Montreals' last game was a 3-1 loss against the white caps where Camacho acquired a red card in the 37th minute.
