I'm an international student hoping to apply for the MOE Taiwan scholarship to pursue my studies at National Taiwan University (NTU). However, I recently found out that NTU is not aligned with this scholarship program.
I'm now at a loss as to how I can make this work. Has anyone faced a similar situation before? If so, how did you manage to get accepted at NTU while having the MOE scholarship? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I wear dream-lens, which are lens you wear everynight and take off every morning so you can actually see. Our school had an overnight fieldtrip, and I lost one of my two lenses there. It costs like 410 dollars.
I told my mom I lost it, and she said some things that hurt me. She talked about how I never value my money, how I take everything for granted, and how ungrateful I am. She told me the money spent on me alone was living expenses of a middle income family of 4 people. She said kids my age(16) earn their own money and talked about how unappreciative I am. She talked about how careless I am despite me always bragging about how independent I am. She said I wouldn't succeed/survive in U.S abroad if I act like this(again talking about how I brag about being independent). She said I should get my shit together. She also said the reason why so many people in the U.S are homeless is because children have to be independent from their parents or something like that, which I don't think is remotely true, don't even know the purpose of why she said that.
I admit I lost something really expensive and she's a single mom who works really hard, but did she really need to say all those things? I just feel like a burden and an expense although I never ask for money unless I need it for food or school. My school IS expensive, but if I ever talk about transferring to public school, she will freak the fuck out and tell me how weak I sound. It's not like I get bad grades, I'm a staright A student. The experiences I've made with Gestalt therapy since then, both as a professional, a client and as a person in general, are among the most influental of my adult life.
I was always hesitant to write about both the Dark Coil and Gestalt, probably due to their complexity and how close they are to my heart. But last year I decided that the time (and myself) was ripe and I started on a series of pieces that applied the latter to the former (and vice versa). Along the way, I got the opportunity to have an online meet up with Peter Fehervari himself and discuss some of thoughts and theories with him - an awesome fan-moment if there ever was one.

I've been lurking in all 40k subs including grimdank for years now. I enjoy reading 40k books, watching YT content about 40k, painting minis and everything under the sun regarding 40k. I like the universe and everything in it.
Except the fans. And I'm not even talking about the toxic nitpicking regarding what's canon or what's not, or if Magnus did anything wrong.
What greatly irritates me is, if the Emp was real and alive, he would be ashamed of all the anime memes in the community.
I can't fathom why anime memes are so intertwined with 40k. It's pretty bizzare, but most fans and memes are somehow expressed via anime memes and anime girls.
What's super ironic is, heresy is such a huge part of 40k. We spend a lot of time talking about killing heretics and not suffering their existence. Suffer not the alien, the mutant, the heretic.

My gf and I live together and a couple of months ago I get a new job that was work from home. My gf has a desk in our spare room for university work so she said she was happy for me to set my desk up in our bedroom. The main problem I have is that the only place I can put the desk is opposite a window so when the sun is shining in, I can barely see the screen.
I have started closing the curtain when I'm working so I can see my screen better. My gf works part time from 3pm and is normally doing university work on the mornings. I tried to use it to do text similarity by using only the pretrained version the authors give + a cosine similarity algorithm between word embeddings: is this the way to go? Should I treat the embeddings the model gives in some way before calculating the cosine distance?

Considering how a CT3 and ST3 current base salary is 51k and how usually after extras are added it comes to 70k, FPR for this level of income would be 24.5k extra. So overall an ST3 will earn 94.5k working for the NHS. 4 years out of university and earning more than consultants! Wouldn’t consultants need a huge pay rise to make up for that?

So recently I was AFK for a few hours without turning off my PC and came back to a specific file with some important info being open in a specific program. I did clean my mouse without plugging it out before leaving my workplace so it might've get open randomly, but it'd require a very specific sequence of 3 cursor moves and 3 specific LMB-RMB-LMB clicks.
I started checking my system and found 30,000 events in Windows Security log within last 2 weeks, everything before that date is erased and I don't recall myself doing that.
Most common events here are 4624, 4672 and 5379. So it's a logon, special logon and user account management.
Logon event details I can provide rn: An account was successfully logged on. Logon Type: 5 Process: advapi.exe (can't find it in task manager or explorer)
Ever since I started googling about this situation the other events have stopped popping out and currently there are only logon events still being recorded from time to time, so if I'm really being remotely accesed at this point I believe whoever has access to my PC is fully aware of me being aware of his presence.
So, I've never had anything like that happen to me. What is the correct protocol for securing my personal files and transferring them somewhere else without infecting other device? Do I need to check my phone, router and USB devices too? What should I do to confirm and remove the threat?
Please help me with that as I'm really lost about what to do, thanks in advance.
