Taylor delivers on a promise to an Arizona fan, absolutely love this. I think this does embody who she is at the very core. 5 years removed and she still delivered....how sweet.

https://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/tempers-flare-outside-ariz-school-district-board-meeting-amid-contract-controversy-with-christian-university https://www.abc15.com/news/local-news/az-christian-university-sues-washington-elementary-school-district-after-program-severance#:~:text=AZ%20Christian%20University%20sues%20Washington,program%20with%20the%20private%20university.
Arizona Christian University (ACU) in Glendale, AZ is suing Washington Elementary School District (WESD) in Phoenix, AZ over what they [ACU] call a 'termination' of the contract that permitted student-teachers to teach at WESD schools. WESD started the contract in 2018 to address the teacher shortage. WESD claims they didn't terminate it but they just merely voted against renewing it in a 5-0 board decision.
The reason why they voted not to renew the contract was because the ACU handbook states that it believes in biblical marriage, is against same-sex relationships and is against sex outside of marriage. I just want to say that I doubt their handbook represents all of the people affiliated with the school and I know it doesn't represent all Christians, it just represents the university, conservativism and some of those affiliated with it.
ACU is also claiming religious discrimination in their lawsuit and in the media.
About two dozen staff members quit following the board's decision to let the contract lapse (some teachers are/were from ACU). While the board didn't confirm the reasons for the resignations it can be inferred that at least some were over the decision. I'm sorry, but imo if you don't support your school district standing up for LGBT rights than you probably shouldn't be a teacher, especially in a public school.
Some people say the school district shouldn't have ended the contract because of the teacher shortage. Are we literally so desperate for teachers we're willing to risk putting full-blown bigots into the classroom?
"No Susie, you're not allowed to talk about your two mommies because that's against my beliefs and goes against God's word." I just feel like it would only be a matter of time until something like that happens if they had a partnership with such a bigoted university. Similar instances have already occurred in other school districts like when a WV public ms teacher started talking about her biblical beliefs rather than give a proper sex ed lesson.
What do you guys think about all this madness?

2023.02.22 04:10 TaraCalicosBike In 2016, a couple on a hiking trip stumbled upon the decomposed remains of a female body in the Arizona desert, near the Nevada border. Years later, “White Hills Jane Doe” was identified as California resident Kimberly Rena Jones. What happened to Kimberly, and who is responsible for her death?
On September 28, 2016, a couple were taking a late summer hike in the desert of Mohave county, Arizona, when they stumbled upon a body around 5:30 pm. The body was found lying in a ravine near highway 93, nude and unconcealed. The partially mummified remains belonged to a black female presumably between the ages of 14 and 17 years old, with curly dark hair about 5 inches in length. The body had manicured fingernails, and toenails that were polished pink, as well as pierced ears and possible orthodontic work. There was a “long” Hollister shirt lying not far away from the remains. Without identification, the body was nicknamed “White Hills Jane Doe,” based on her being found near White Hills, near the Hoover Dam.
Due to the state of decomposition, both identification and cause of death could not be determined, but police classified this case as a possible homicide. Police believed that the body was dumped in the desert, but that she had died at another location. Efforts were made to find the identity of the victim- isotope and pollen testings to determine where the victim had lived, as well as two sketches being made of the unidentified decedent. In 2019, NCMEC released the findings of the pollen and isatope tests, as well as distributed the second composite drawing on their Facebook page “Help ID Me,” but with no headway being made, they decided to try more intricate testing- DNA tests. In 2020, with NCMEC’s assistance, the body of Jane Doe was exhumed to undergoing DNA tests. This DNA profile led to possible familial matches being located in March of 2021, and two months later, these relatives were spoken to and were able to positively identify Jane Doe.
The body found in Mohave County back in 2016 belonged to
Kimberly Rena Jones. Kimberly was an 18 year old girl who disappeared from San Bernardino, California. It was estimated that Kimberly Jones disappeared around the summer or early fall of 2016, roughly around the time period her body was discovered, but it is unclear the exact time of her disappearance as she wasn’t reported missing until 2017. Police have no idea what led up to Kimberly’s disappearance, or how she wound up in Arizona, and I was unable to find anything about who Kimberly was, and what her life was like before her death.
The Mohave County community had paid for Kimberly’s initial funeral and burial in 2016, and the community gathered to attend services for her. The case into Kimberly’s death is still ongoing, and there is very little information about her case- or her life before her death- available online. How she died, when she died, where she died, and who was involved with her death has not yet been determined, but police are continuing to search for answers in the presumed murder of Kimberly Rena Jones.
